I logged on to maintain my base as I always do about this time only to find some moron has destroyed it. There is no attack declaration. Can someone advise who I need to PM about this?
Why the heck did they not PM me as well? This is so unfair and very anti-player. The fact I am on maintaining it every day or every two should have been a clue that I don't get the posts. They may be legally right, but it shows a massive hole in the POB base attack declaration announcements as I never knew. My Dad never knew that there was an attack declaration.
I have NO idea why they cannot dock when they could have before.
They don't know you owned it. Attack declaration are announced in communication channel which you should check regularly
They sent you comm on 13 Feb that's a long time
You can ignore reality but you can not ignore consequences of ignoring reality
They do know who owns it. They are the ones who gave me permission to build it. It took me less than a minute to look up who the owner was simply by going back and seeing who was given permission to build the POB.
This is totally unfair, and certainly not in the spirit of the game that Discovery would advocate.
It has been noted today that your installation, the 'Dublin Miners Pub', is refusing access to BPA officers. While we are sure this is merely an oversight on your docking masters part we insist that the matter be resolved promptly and without delay
Also, we suggest you refresh yourself with section 5.4 - Base Operational Regulations, of the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law
Thank you for your cooperation
You had 12 days from when they warned you. I sent you a PM about it on the 23rd.
If you can't be bothered to do a simple /base addtag BPA) I don't know what to tell you.

The PM you sent me didn't say anything about the BPA only saying If I don't want to deal with Disco's POBs anymore, you'd buy the base. Never cottoned on there was a link - ... just read it as part of the offer to buy the Pub.
Appreciated the pm though.
BPA should still have PM'd me as I would have responded.
That base was full of gold etc, as well as a lot of credits. And the hours upon hours of labour to build it... all for the sake of a little PM from BPA.
This is really a shame. Although BPA broke no rules, if it comes to these serious things, PM is really easy thing to do if owner is known. I feel for you.
Legal or not, this is not fair, not in the spirit of the game. This is a role-playing server, but how can one role play when one has no idea about what is about to happen. Admin should step in and right this, as it is unfair and unjust. They have the ability to restore the pub.
Why should a member be penalised for being unaware?
It is reminded time and again on the server via text messages that literally the second part of all of the roleplay enviroment on Discovery is on the forums. That you must keep an eye on them in order to be up to date on what is going on. You are a base owner, you have created an ingame asset that has taken you lots of time and effort to make. The -least- you could have done is to keep an eye out on the base attack declaration thread to see if your base is mentioned.
By entering your base name "Dublin Miners Pub" in the search engine, the transmission to you is the top result.
You'd think that given the fact that this is not the first time you lose a base, you'd be more aware of the roleplay environment and keep an eye on what is going on in the are you operate in. You lost your base not because of players being mean to you, but because of your lack of minimum awareness. Your lost your assets due to your own negligence and trying to blame the other side here just does not hold up to scrutiny.
I have talked time and again how FR5 candidates need to be left an ingame offline PM about the IRP thread on the forum, but in your case given your history with base destruction, you'd think that you'd be more invested and careful about your own creations. Involve yourself in the game roleplay environment more, because nobody is going to wait for you or bring all of your needed info on a silver plate. That is the truth.
For future reference, make sure to:
*Subscribe to the Attack Decleration Thread - you will be given an email prompt whenever someone posts there.
*Take your time to glance over the newest threads in the Communications Section every few days.
*Throw in your base/character names in the forum search engine every now and again.
Do these three things and I can assure you that this will not happen again.
