I have
2 heavy BS slots
5 primary BS slots
6 secondary BS slots
Equip it with:
2 Heavy Mortar( standard setup for long range anti Capital fights ), or Mortar + heavy Mortar (they have diferent "bullet" travel speed, so this setup is good for firing them in group, both at same time and insta-de-shied and seriously damage/kill oponent) ,
5 order Primary turrets (for anti Capital long/medium range fight),
6 order Secondary turrets ( short range, anti gunboat and anti snub), or 5 + flak (flak is anti torpedo/missile defense weapon ).
As a Light Battleship, you will most of the time try to maintain highest possible distance to other battleships. Depending on preference, you should go for either Hellbores (long range spam fire) or Mortars (long range snipe fire). Since you have a Light Battleship, don't even waste money on Heavy Mortars. Two shots will deplete your power core entirely, so you will have to wait 30 seconds for being able to fire two HMs again. Shields however recharge way faster, meaning if only one of them doesn't hit, you wasted your time.
For the primary slots, you can either go for mid-range DPS, which would be Order Primary Turrets, or you do it like the meta and have 2 to 5 pulses and remain at long range. Those pulses are incredibly good at depleting shields and work perfectly with both Mortars and Hellbore.
For the secondary slots, you will need to make a compromise, depending on what you are more likely to fight (Mostly snubs!). Solaris Turrets (not Gatling!) are good to keep snubs away, but they aren't strong at all. The alternative is taking Order Secondary Turrets, which are good against cruisers at mid-range and gunboats, but will be less likely to hit snubs. Two Flaks are a must-have, you will want to cover your entire ship with their arcs to prevent people from using torpedos on you. If you want to be experimental, you can use flaks at all secondary turrets - they will eat up your power core, definitely, but if you see a deshielded snub in short range, they will blue it.

You don't get better without training, no matter what loadout you use. And it is a matter of fact that he will more often fight snubs and bombers in the Omicrons than cruisers, simply because most people play snubs. Don't orientate on what you would like to fight. Try to adjust to what you will matter of factly fight.
You work for the Order. This means that your main battleship opponent will be the Core's Mako, since Nomad battleships are a very rare sight nowdays. The Mako is a light battleship, same as yours, and has many similar stats. It is often the case that the one who chases has the advantage over the one who is chased, and mounting 2 Cerberus turrets on your heavy slots will enable you to chase. Cerberus turrets are also useful against bombers, because a surprise salvo of 1 Cerberus can instakill almost any bomber whose shield is down.
Concerning medium slots, your ship has 5, but its energy can only support the long fire of 3. If you can fire 5 both forward and backward, then exchange 2 for pulses, which can be very useful against cruisers. If you can't fire all 5 forward or backward, then only mount Order Primary Turrets.
Concerning light slots, flaks are very useful tools. They deflect missiles and torpedoes off their path, and can also detonate them before they reach your ship. You need to cover 360° around your ship for this to be effective, but you only need 2 flaks for that. Unfortunately, flaks were nerfed a couple of years ago and only do half the damage they used to, so they will not be very useful to fire at actual ships. Use Order Secondary Turrets for that, mount those on the remaining four slots. You can also try Solarises, but I don't think that they will be effective in such a low number. They are fast, but do little damage.

Even ships like "Atlantis", with 21 Solaris turrets equiped, can only fart at snubs , it cant kill it, (except if snub pilot is kamikaze ),
what can poor "Osiris" with 2 nerfed Flaks and just 4 Solaris do?
Only way to kill snub with Battleship is insta-kill with Razors, Cerberus, or Hellbores, with or without Pulse combination, and only if you are extrimly lucky.
The thing is that I want to be good against Makos. When chasing a Mako Cerberus are good, yes, but one time me and my friends got ganked by makos that were front facing us. They went towards us and when they were too close I couldn't do anything. Do I need another setup for that?
And Makos are very very thin and they dodge almost all my attepts to use mortars on them. Is huricane torpedo good? or they deflect every torpedo I send?
