So this thing was happening, but we didnt hear any updates about it for quite long time.I still wonder how its gonna be. I always thought something like this;
Uncharted systems with atleast 8 layers. Starter system will be super easy its also called Uncharted Omicron,Uncharted Liberty... Then it goes deeper like this
1.Uncharted Omicron,Omega,Liberty,Rheinland,Bretonia...
2.Uncharted I
3.Uncharted II
....
8.Uncharted VII
Each system with unique skybox, maybe if you go deeper and live enough you see latest system Uncharted 7 where some weird stuff happens. Maybe each system with a background that showing you getting closer to Centre of the Galaxy or Away from the Galaxy. Why not, it seems interesting already. Of course PVP and RP still needs to be a thing here because no one wants to see nomads helping humans etc.
If lower levels of Uncharted have some weird stuff. i think these systems needs to be sealed up by other parties that living there. I also think it shouldnot stop there. After we reach to Uncharted 7 it needs to continue. Maybe a structure that is called Abyys? If you go deeper even more challenging stuff should appear aswell as more rewarding stuff. I also think it should be scary enough to prevent people going alone but that is completely optional because lone players shouldnt pass even first layers of the uncharted.
I hope there will be more progression gameplay. Currently i have what i need. Ships,equipments,money... but i cant use them for anything else than PVP and PVP Events. Maybe this game needs something that gonna force players to get it?
I rather like the idea of an Uncharted set of systems with increasing "layers" of danger and deadliness. I feel that the deepest layer Uncharted systems ought not to be jumpable to, lest the player be instantly vaporized.
When mentioning the idea of an Abyss, I can't help but think of a Lovecraftian-tier horror as a new species of hostile alien to encounter. Something that eats metal. Like a space-borne Rust Monster or something. And its weapons will deal 20% normal damage to hull even with shields active. Maybe. Just tossing ideas out there.
Also: Wat. There's a plugin to teleport players to somewhere else once they dock with it? That sounds like the perfect thing for like, a Slingshot Mini-Warp Gate that is a one way trip. Is that .jumpcreate able to allow players to warp to a specific player ship? Say, a Docking Module ship?
I do like the idea of more uncharted systems, though. Maybe the 3rd layer could have a really valuable ore type, but to attempt to mine it alone would be impossible due to the dangers within the system, and would require a fleet to harvest it. Honestly - This would be a great way to introduce yet another hostile alien race to the game, and perhaps even another, separate alien species which may be friendly; a haven of safety amidst uncharted territory, with neither species having been aware of humans or nomads previously.
If another hostile race were to be introduced, I would leave it unplayable, with the friendly race having the potential to be playable at least from an RP perspective.
hmm ive idea for that plugin: one way in one way out. I think players shouldnt take reward and try to get away easly. If you jump to uncharted youll be locked till you go like atleast second deep level of the uncharted system and survive.

Indeed jumping there with jumpdrives shouldnt be a thing.

Yeah good idea but i doubt that gonna happen. What i really want to see is unique ships for uncharted npcs but there is like no modeller for that.

I don't thiiiink there's a good way to do a force-dock-elsewhere "gate".
But yeah, there's on the fly jump hole creation. For example, the "DO NOT USE THIS YOU WILL DIE" hole in Conn.
