Oliver Myles was born in 788 AS on Planet New London, in a well-off family. Most of his childhood and teenage years were uneventful. He joined the Military Academy in 799 AS, just as the colonies were on the brink of war.
During the Nomad War, the Armed Forces needed critical reinforcements on the field, and as such, Myles was sent alongside his fellow officers to serve on board of a cruiser in the Cambridge system. Despite not seeing combat as often as other units in the Armed Forces, Myles gained a lot of experience during the months he served on the cruiser. Several attacks by the Rheinland Military were succesfully repelled by the task force defending Cambridge, further enhancing the combat experience and capablities of the group.
After graduating from the Military Academy in 803, Oliver was put in command of a cruiser and assigned to Macduff's battlegroup, in the Tau-31 system. The following years were quiet, until Kusari invaded in the year 814 AS. Facing against a multitude of attacks from different sides, and despite being cut off from the rest of the forces after Kusari took the Leeds jump gate, the Macduff stood against the might of the invaders. However, a new threat was looming on the horizon. As Gallia made its attacks and surprised the bulk of the Kusari Naval Forces, the Macduff was forced to abandon its position and flee to the Newcastle system. It was there that Oliver would spend most of his time, fighting a large part of the Royal Navy in the upcoming years.
Proving a veritable commander in battle, he quickly rose through the ranks and in 825 AS, took command of the HMS Majestic, a London Interdictor newly-arrived from Liberty as part of reinforcements sent to Bretonia. As the tide of the battle turned in favor of the Armed Forces, the Majestic was deployed to New London to aid in the major battle that ensued.
Early in the year 828, while on patrol in the Newcastle system, his battlecruiser was assaulted by a combined force of Vipere Divison and Nomad forces. The defenses were quickly overwhelmed and the ship boarded with minimal casualties.
Using the numerous attacks in Newcastle as a disguise to justify what had truly happened, the battlecruiser returned to drydock, along with its crew. Unknown to the rest of the Armed Forces, Oliver and the crew of his battlecruiser now serve the will of the Nomads and patiently await the perfect moment to strike. Until then, he secretely aids them with logistics and captured equipment from Bretonia's enemies.
Yet as time went on, Oliver and the rest of his loyal followers realized they were no longer safe in Bretonia. As such, during the middle of the year 828, he organized an operation to 'dissapear' from the rest of the Armed Forces. It ended as a success, however most of his group was destroyed in the battle that ensued.
