Hey Edwin! Hope you're doing well. Was hoping my first comm to you would be less business, more leisure, but here we are.
As you might've guessed, James, the captain of the Charybdis, is a close friend of mine. And I think he might've already told you the scoop on what we've been up to, but I'll fill you in. I and a bunch of other assorted drifters and ideological hopefuls have established a base in the Roussillon system, named Andorra Haven. It's a small little anarchist commune situated around Planet Foix that's been going alright, so far. But we're hoping to be a good haven for all sorts of people from around Sirius who think like us, feel like us. And part of that involves facilitating the transport of those people over to Roussillon. At present, we've only got some standard transport ships and a Bustard. Nothing really suited for passenger voyages.
So, I offered up my connection with you as a possible route. I'm not saying committing the Renaissance to the effort is necessary or anything, just that some ferries or shuttles might go a long way to helping us, if you have access to them. We're trying to avoid going for large megacorps since... well, we hate them. Would love to hear your response soon. We should hang again and have fun some time soon!
You know, when you're me and do what I do, there's no distinction between business and pleasure. It saddens me that so many of us won't ever have those opportunities, but I do try to share as much of the good life as I can.
I've had a quick look around your little haven and it's a lovely place, it has some of that Edge worlds charm without being quite so terribly remote. The selection at the bar leaves something to be desired, but I do recognize that my standards are a bit higher than I can reasonably expect to be met on what I must assume is a fairly constrained budget.
Anyway, I'd be happy to happy to make the occasional charter with the Renaissance; most of the time my passenger flights into that general region are booked by pilgrims and assorted hippies visiting the geode in Baffin, a demographic that likely has considerable overlap with your intended clientele. I'll be happy to advertise the location with crowds I feel would be curious about it.
I suppose I'll have to use my best judgment on who exactly that would be, but I'm a people person. My best judgment is excellent.
I look forward to seeing you again. For business and for leisure, as it were.
