Affiliation: Imra's Followers, under Krumai's command
> Formerly belonged to the Kusari Naval Forces' 66th Division under the command of Toshihiro Sano. Upon discovery, the Cubhras Handhas took possession of the ship, and still continues to its day under its new name.
History: Originally pressed into service on May 2, 823 AS as one of two "Takeda"-class destroyers of the 66th Division, the ship was assigned under the command of Niito Kaisa Toshihiro Sano as the KDS Asuka. Its main purpose, according to retrieved logs, was to do reconnaissance work in the Omicron Zeta system.
The ship's actual components remain mostly unknown. The most likely evidence is that the ship contained highly classified, experimental technology, intended for its mission as a reconnaissance vessel. From the available logs gathered from the wreck site, it appears that within two days of being commissioned, it traversed through the Sigmas and reached the Omicron Zeta system without incident. When they landed on an icy planet, later known as Planet Palmyra, they uncovered evidence of artifacts. However, this would prove to be their downfall.
Initially assuming it as an inactive artifact, dating back millions of years ago, they had their scouts search the immediate vicinity of the cloud, which turned up nothing, until they saw a Kusarian fleet emerging out from the cloud. Unfortunately for them, they were the lost 113th division of the Naval Forces, and had sought not to escort the 66th, but purge them for trespassing in the system. Records from this point onward are sketchy, as no black box has been found in the wreckage.
What is most certain was that Sano's detachment was cornered by the 113th division, and was engaged until most of the 66th's fleet in Omicron Zeta were either destroyed or disabled, leaving the KDS Asuka heavily damaged, but still operational. Not willing to give in to the 113th, Sano decided to crash land the KDS Asuka towards Planet Palmyra, where he and his crew perished from the cold.
The KDS Asuka would remain untouched by any passing vessel until the middle of 828 AS, when the Cubhras Handhas took possession of the ship following a thorough investigation of the planet. Rechristened under the designation "Askunu", it would soon enter the service of the same group that the 113th division belonged: the Aoi Iseijin. For the next year, it participated in various engagements, for the single purpose of defending the Light. However, as the ship proved to be somewhat old, the mindlink to the husk had started to deteriorate, leaving it unfit for combat.
Still, Krumai hasn't given up yet on renovating this ship, and we expect that our blessing shall come true, as Disani had willed us ever since we embraced truth.
(Update as of 2/24/830 AS) The Askunu is operational once more and is now the functioning flagship of Imra's Followers. Only Krumai's most trusted followers shall crew the vessel, in order to prevent darkness from spreading within.
(Update as of 9/18/831 AS) The Askunu lost communications with the rest of Imra's Followers two months ago due to an unexpected subspace pulse that disrupted FTL relay systems. Fortunately for the Askunu, we have reestablished contact with the rest of our Followers and are now providing coordinates for the Askunu's swift return. Initial investigation revealed the source to be from the [REDACTED] system. Recommend careful investigation of [DATA EXPUNGED] as a class-5 level threat.
(Update as of 10/30/833 AS) [REDACTED] system investigation - Scouts have noticed the sudden activation of one of the "gates", leading to an uncharted system. Initial explorations revealed a unique crystalline structure embedded within the asteroids. Detailed analysis of the newly identified material aboard the Askunu's main lab reveals similarities with naturally-occurring crystals, though with several unidentified properties that make it useful for [REDACTED].

Project "New Dawn"
Imra's Followers
Name of the project: "New Dawn"
> This will be a long term plan, estimated at several cycles long. The primary purpose of this project is to revitalize the "Askunu", a Kusari Destroyer, with a new, implanted shell that can control the aging husk and replace it with a partly organic mainframe, enough to fulfill its original purpose as a general-purpose flagship.
> As part of this project, the Lostshare, under the light of Eris, will supervise the project. The reasoning for this is that unlike the previous example for Ki'Shar, formerly the RNS Charente, the Mainshare has been focusing its energy on other matters deemed important. Nevertheless, the Mainshare shall still be informed, until the shell is ready.
Background:
> It has been several cycles since the "Askunu" filled itself with darkness. A dark husk, formerly belonging to the Kusari Naval Forces, cannot be purified for long.
> At the behest of Sh'ozak the Survivor, there were two options: fill the "Askunu" with more enlightened husks, or implant an organic shell that will substitute and purify the husk.
> There were many challenges, however. A meeting with Eris gave hope, however. While the Lostshare may be somewhat deceitful until they have proven themselves, in part from the mindlink established between Krumai and Husas the Defender.
Purpose:
> To revitalize and purify the "Askunu", enabling it to become a servant of the Light.
> To bring a united Light between the Mainshare and the Lostshare, and to rid any dark presence of the latter.
> To continue the mission set out by the former Cubhras Handhas, namely a flagship from which Imra's Followers can engage in important missions.
