Dear 5th Fleet High Command,
it's been some time since we have been in contact with each other, to be more precise ever since I requested to be put in retirement.
This is also the reason why I'm contacting you today. Retirement isn't the right thing for me. Having nothing to do and being able to relax the whole day - that's boring.
I need something to do, I need action and thus decided to resume my duties as Navy Officer.
I'm hereby asking to be put back into active duty as Commodore of the 5th Fleet. If my inactivity brings the need to demote me that would be understandable and happily accepted as well.
It has been a long time since we've heard from you indeed, Brian. The Admiralty has discussed your wishes to return and the result was unanimous. Report to Juneau Shipyard to receive your equipment and finalizing your reinstatement to 5th Fleet. You will be reinstated at your rank of Commodore with pending positioning as Commander of West Command upon further review from the NID. New standard procedure, nothing to worry about. Welcome back, Commodore.
Regards,
Rear Admiral Nicole Prower

Hello Nicole,
I'm glad to hear that the admiralty decided to reinstate me.
I arrived at Juneau today at 0900 sirian standard time and received my equipment. I also have re-taken command over the Thunderbird.
Nice to see that the crew hasn't changed at all after all this time and I have been welcomed with open arms by them.
All the necessary paperwork for my reinstatement has been signed and I am now ready for duty and am waiting for further instructions.
