It's been a long time since we've been in touch, I have a request for you. I hope Enfield didn't leave things in a terribly sour state, please let me know if you're willing to hear me out.
I don't believe we've personally spoke before, I'm Mr. Ling. I've looked over the archives, all I can find on Direktor Geoff Enfield is a pretty old comm link where he simply stopped responding, which just so happens to be before Rheinland's little... change of governance, so it's understandable. What does the Buro need today?
I am V - Direktor of the BDM. Geoff Enfield disappeared shortly before the conclusion of our civil war.
But that is beside the point, the reason I am here contacting you now is about a system recently discovered called "Earhart". If you're half as wise as I think you are, you undoubtedly are aware of this system. By extension, you've probably heard the same rumors that I have in regard to Ageria and the LSF's ventures in creating a fixed connection to the system - given they were the first ones there.
As I understand, the Lane Hackers are masters of infiltration and information gathering. If someone wants to know something, they go to you - so here I am. I need scans, or at least a rough outline of the design/device that is allowing the Libretonians to freely transit the system. I assume this connection is one-way, given I haven't seen any fixed exits to Liberty space.
I understand Zone-21 and Alaska are incredibly secure, so as a reward for completing this venture, I will forward you a sum of 2.000.000 S.C.
All the information you can gather, imaging - anything. I want to see it first hand.
I've heard on the grapevine that they did something that involved my old Cold Lake Project contact going dark, so it's most definitely related to jump tech. Speaking of that contact, I've got a rough outline of the system, and the general answer is "A trip through hell". I know they've blanketed the system in a defense grid that puts Manhattans to shame. Traffic in and out is searched heavily and without exception, same with communications. Belly to belly warships. I've had return pings get tagged somehow and watch Security Force patrols show up at where I was within a matter of minutes.
All in all, two million is good. I'll get it done, it's just gonna take a bit. This particular hornets nest has a hair trigger.
