Personal project overseeing upgrades and foundational development of the Incursus platform. Vessel was relatively undamaged during Battle for Magellan, although currently unknown damage if any from the Blackout.
Details
Incursus was directly involved in the Battle of Magellan, but sustained little to no noticeable damage from Navy units during combat. While this expedited her servicing upon arrival at Barrier Gate, the years of complacency regarding her internals, as well as potential unseen damage from the Blackout has brought her capabilities into question.
I'm activating this as a personal project, in the hope of keeping details relating to Incursus secure and concise. The ship will need extensive analysis to determine the extent of any damage, if any at all, and to update core systems modified after the Scouring of Bering.
AV Incursus - 'Osiris'-class Battleship
A preliminary analysis of the ship's internals shows there's definitely a potential in expanding her capabilities. Sensory connectivity could use optimization, although she no longer needs a wide connection array since the Gladius Network is hosted aboard her. Very likely that can be replaced by further updates to the cyberwarfare modules, perhaps even developments to potential lane interaction. I'd like to see if I can put some of those old techniques to use, and doing that through an improved suite of tactical modules would be a hell of a way to beef up her potential.
There's also potential in upgrading her hardware as well. The larger internals, drive core, batteries, weapons mounts, are all up to Legion-standards. Particulars, like the potential for more efficient cabling or even incorporating systems latticing could make her even more feared than before.
Equipment
The following ships are being earmarked for project focus:
AV Incursus
In addition, prior access to Omega-level protocols has been given. Directed uplink to the Gladius Network for sensor detection, gate/lane connectivity, and general usage will be enabled for all vessels listed above.

Overall Evaluation
Activated this project file about the same time I started doing mass recalibration for FREEROLL, so no wonder this one took a backseat. Incursus at the moment is more of a headquarters than a mobile base-of-operations, but with my strikecraft fit for duty, I can finally start focusing on the old girl herself.
I don't have the luxury of putting my own personal expertise alone into this one. This is a full ODD project, albeit under a personal file tag. As such, only those with the right clearance will see these updates. Paranoia really does run in the leadership, huh. Necessary, though. I'm not risking the whole network just to see the ship fly a little bit earlier.
As for an actual technical analysis, Chief Engineer Haylinn is certain the ship is more than capable of full combat operations, any the only thing that's really needed is a 'new paintjob'. While she's of use, though, I'd rather Incursus be a ship to a feared, put the scare into anyone who would challenge the Legion anew once more. Be more than just a symbol of resistance.
To that end, the sensor suite is going to need a full overhaul, including a dip into some serious Ageira-levels of technicality. Going to put my years on Detroit to use, but I'm pretty confident here. Systems lattice for the ship software, on top of modifications to her internal cabling for better efficiency.
When we're done here, she's gonna be more fluid than water.

Logistics and Technicals
Last five days were spent both looking through the ship's internals, while also arguing with Haylinn regarding where she can be improved. She says it's negligible, but it's not. It never has been. Once we finish updating her, topping off with lattice, she's gonna dance through fights, I swear it.
On past notes, increasing flow efficiency is going to require some hefty work going through each and every length of cabling aboard this ship. Primary cabling, though. Localized arm-length distances are effectively instantaneous as far as signaling goes through these things. Ship-wide, it's simple but time consuming. At least it's relatively cheap.
What won't be cheap is overhauling the sensor array, not to mention more focused hardpoints, like gun mounts or guidance lights (yes, I'm serious). Re-mounting is just not something these mooring ports were meant for, and while they'll work if we really need them to, having dedicated drydocks for us to operate in would make this all a lot easier. Haylinn has suggested Invergordon, and I'm inclined to agree, which means contact with the Junkers that operate it.
While contact is being made, we'll need to secure the right materials to recabling. Standard optics cabling might be preferable, but quantum may also be on the table.
The possibilities are very intriguing.

Reboot and Refresh
Been a fat minute since I looked at these documents. Nearly four whole months, and we're still no closer to bringing Incursus up to the modern day. This is what I get for playing around under the radar.
First things, take stock of the issues at hand.
Contact with Junkers in Inverness, failing that, try the Technocrats. We may be on speaking terms, but I don't fully trust them to not put a bug in the ship when we aren't looking. Junkers are the better bet, though. Less of a mess if I catch them trying anything funny. They tend to just retract and move on.
Second, source the tech.
We'll need some seriously high-grade sensory tech to beef up the old girl's suite. I'm thinking Spyglass, but Lord knows the Hackers are gonna have that on lock. Still, procuring some may not be impossible, either through careful negotiation or slipping a substantial amount of credits to someone on the inside. Would be real nice to have some ex-Harmony folks right about now.
Third, material. Lots of it.
Raw cabling across the whole length of the ship. Nothing too complicated, and a hell of a lot more straightforward than acquiring spyglass gear from the Mactan Mooks. Issue becomes finding enough of the processed stuff to satisfy the overhaul.
The rest boils down to tech business, and I can handle code. Latticing should be held off until the end, so as to minimize the migraine.
Gonna be like a well-oiled machine, though, even if a little under-manned. Just gotta get off the ground first.
