[09.04.2024 00:08:53] A/)-Lazurith: V-Viper.
[09.04.2024 00:08:59] A/)-Lazurith: You followed me.
[09.04.2024 00:09:05] A/)-Lazurith: No! Y-you won't get me alive!
[09.04.2024 00:09:17] A/)-Lazurith: Stay away! STAY AWAY FROM ME!
[09.04.2024 00:09:19] BDM|Viper.VII: You're right, I wont.
[09.04.2024 00:09:42] BDM|Viper.VII: No.
[09.04.2024 00:09:45] BDM|Viper.VII: Not this time around.
[09.04.2024 00:11:42] A/)-Lazurith: Don't come any closer, Viper.
[09.04.2024 00:12:04] A/)-Lazurith: I want nothing to do with this mess. Leave me alone.
[09.04.2024 00:12:12] BDM|Viper.VII: I'm not interested in killing you.
[09.04.2024 00:12:17] A/)-Lazurith: You TOOK MY LEGS.
[09.04.2024 00:12:22] BDM|Viper.VII: I did.
[09.04.2024 00:12:37] A/)-Lazurith: [His voice cracked under his own rage.] YOU... TOOK MY LEGS.
[09.04.2024 00:12:43] A/)-Lazurith: HOW COULD YOU.
[09.04.2024 00:13:21] BDM|Viper.VII: You're not going to get a pitiful reaction from me.
[09.04.2024 00:13:40] A/)-Lazurith: I wasn't asking for one.
[09.04.2024 00:14:01] BDM|Viper.VII: I'm not going to kill you.
[09.04.2024 00:14:23] A/)-Lazurith: Th-then what. You almost certainly did.
[09.04.2024 00:14:41] A/)-Lazurith: U-uh... Levan? What are you doing here?
[09.04.2024 00:14:49] BDM|Viper.VII: You and the... "people" you work with chose to attack me in more ways than one.
[09.04.2024 00:14:56] BDM|Viper.VII: At a really /inconvenient/ time.
[09.04.2024 00:15:12] BDM|Viper.VII: Piss of a Viper, and you'll get the fangs, a fitting expression.
[09.04.2024 00:15:53] BDM|Viper.VII: Now that I know /what/ you are too, I can't say I'm heartfelled about what happened... at all.
[09.04.2024 00:15:59] BDM|Viper.VII: But, I'm a scientist too.
[09.04.2024 00:16:05] BDM|Viper.VII: I'm not some Monster.
[09.04.2024 00:16:33] BDM|Viper.VII: You're a key for that monster right there, that... thing.
[09.04.2024 00:16:49] BDM|Viper.VII: I'll tell you the same thing I told Caliban.
[09.04.2024 00:17:04] BDM|Viper.VII: Regardless of what you want, that thing will follow you like a shadow.
[09.04.2024 00:17:14] A/)-Lazurith: Not just him, but the Sents too.
[09.04.2024 00:17:14] BDM|Viper.VII: That's your problem to sort out.
[09.04.2024 00:17:23] BDM|Viper.VII: Just like they follow Caliban.
[09.04.2024 00:17:30] BDM|Viper.VII: Stay out of Rheinland.
[09.04.2024 00:18:02] BDM|Viper.VII: I don't really care about what you do outside my home, but I will keep these sorts of things away from my home.
[09.04.2024 00:18:11] BDM|Viper.VII: That's my job, not to be the police of this... universe.
[09.04.2024 00:18:52] BDM|Viper.VII: Even though I am a scientist at heart, you've seen that I have much more experience than you or Caliban in making people-
[09.04.2024 00:18:58] BDM|Viper.VII: -leave, if they're not invited.
[09.04.2024 00:19:12] BDM|Viper.VII: A cold hearted killer wouldn't do this for you, but I will.
[09.04.2024 00:19:17] A/)-Lazurith: She burned my legs.
[09.04.2024 00:19:31] BDM|Viper.VII: Leave me and my home alone, and go about your business elsewhere, I won't get in your way and you won't get in mine.
[09.04.2024 00:19:53] BDM|Viper.VII: Think about that for a while, it's the only offer I'll extend.
[09.04.2024 00:20:18] BDM|Viper.VII: You might be a young naive scientist, but you're playing with forces that even someone like me - someone with fighting -
[09.04.2024 00:20:29] BDM|Viper.VII: - experience years in the making - want's nothing to do with.
[09.04.2024 00:20:44] BDM|Viper.VII: You reap the consequences of your actions, and curiosity in this universe isn't a safe endeavor.
[09.04.2024 00:20:52] BDM|Viper.VII: Think about that for a while.
[09.04.2024 00:21:24] BDM|Viper.VII: I hope you make a full recovery, for what it's worth.
[09.04.2024 00:21:36] BDM|Viper.VII: You don't seem like an evil individual to me.
[09.04.2024 00:22:03] BDM|Viper.VII: You can tell the same to the rest of your people.
[09.04.2024 00:22:03] A/)-Lazurith: I never asked for this from the moment it began.
[09.04.2024 00:22:26] A/)-Lazurith: Just don't take out your "fangs" on my friends. I'm the one you want.
[09.04.2024 00:22:42] BDM|Viper.VII: I never asked for a lot of the clutter I'm left with too, we play the cards we're dealt.
[09.04.2024 00:22:57] BDM|Viper.VII: I've told them to do the same, but I'm reminding you personally since you're the largest bomb among them.
[09.04.2024 00:23:07] BDM|Viper.VII: Not Revenant, or anyone else so far as I can gather.
Truly. I should've told you to come on board the Scylax before the order was given, and kept you out of harm's way. I've played that moment back in my head a few dozen times now, and that's the same conclusion I've drawn each time.
Don't worry about Viper. Revenant and I are going to meet them, and hopefully this time I'll get to be the one to do the talking.
Try to stay out of trouble, my young friend. Bad enough Aether found you in Coronado the other day. I won't ask why. If you felt it truly important, you wouldn't keep it hidden from the likes of me.
I'm just here to... uh. Give you a little heads up.
This fucking... thing was floating about Valravn. There was some kind of weird... plant... zombie monster thing inside a Rheinland Sichel going by the callsign "Strigid" that spewed bile and acid all over my ship. This isn't a joke. A quick glance from my biotic scan found a strange phylum of Bretonian ferns growing all over it, as well as other unidentified mutated fungi that... uh... I don't exactly know how to say this, but the dude inside was dead, and he was somehow reanimated by mutant vegetation. I just saw a zombie. I'm not even kidding. I've planted a tracking device on the thing, but you ought to send a sweep in the area directly under the Citadel to look for any residue that could be a potential biohazard. If you have the time, please kindly ask those idiots in the hangar bay to quarantine my ship under Biohazard protocols 4 or 5, I lack the clearance to ask for this kind of stuff. Keep in mind I'm the equivalent of an old Sol medieval squire, my words are pretty much insignificant. Appending logs and visual data.

[22.04.2024 01:02:46] A/)-Lazurith: Rrgh... this doesn't make a lick of sense... there's not a single life sign on-board...

[22.04.2024 01:03:30] A/)-Lazurith: It's like some kind of fern? Crap, I'm not a botanist at all.
[22.04.2024 01:03:39] Strigid: [The Sichel's weapons lock on the approaching vessel, the body in the cockpit moving to control the ship despite the total lack

[22.04.2024 01:06:30] Strigid: [The motions appear to be repeating. Were one to approach closely enough, perhaps the soundless words could be lip-read.]

[22.04.2024 01:08:19] A/)-Lazurith: Mmm... right, okay. Telescopic gyroscopes are green... all set.
[22.04.2024 01:08:46] A/)-Lazurith: [A small camera, about the size of a football, emerged from the nose of the Falchion.]

[22.04.2024 01:11:07] Strigid: into space.]
[22.04.2024 01:11:43] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat's left eye glows in blue, as the camera focused in closer to the corpse, zooming in and out around the canopy.]
[22.04.2024 01:12:11] Strigid: [Despite the presence of Nomad material aboard the craft, the cockpit appears wholly uncontaminated by -their- presence.]

[22.04.2024 01:33:37] Strigid: and fuselage.]

[22.04.2024 01:34:08] A/)-Lazurith: Wh-what the FUCK?!
[22.04.2024 01:34:21] Strigid: [Behind the lurching, half-beaten, wholly-ruined corpse of the once-pilot, additional, sickly-colored tendrils burst into view,
[22.04.2024 01:34:31] Strigid: wreathing the body of the intruder in an unholy aura.]
[22.04.2024 01:35:18] A/)-Lazurith: Th--that's... oooooh, I'm so fucked... oh, God...
[22.04.2024 01:35:28] Strigid: [As the hulls of the vessels touch with a muffled 'clunk', those tendrils begin to slither over the surface of the Falchion.]
[22.04.2024 01:35:37] A/)-Lazurith: N-no! I have-- I have to get away!
[22.04.2024 01:35:42] Strigid: [In their wake, paint begins to peel, and metal tarnishes.]
[22.04.2024 01:36:03] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat tried to reach for the thruster button in an attempt to wrestle himself away from the other ship.]
[22.04.2024 01:36:17] Strigid: [Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. The cracks in the cockpit glass grow wider and wider. Perhaps a helmet is in order?]
[22.04.2024 01:36:55] Strigid: [As the Falchions thrusters fire, the Sichel is tugged along with it, though the gap widens, one of the fleshy tendrils
[22.04.2024 01:37:07] Strigid: sizzling as it's burnt to a crisp by escaping high-temperature gases.]
[22.04.2024 01:37:26] A/)-Lazurith: [Luckily, the Technocrat already reached for his blue helmet, securing it with a hiss as the internal devices merged with the -

[22.04.2024 01:38:53] Death: BUBbLE was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[22.04.2024 01:39:21] Strigid: [Perhaps the creature's own aggressiveness is its downfall: with some form of access gained, the being seems completely unaware
[22.04.2024 01:39:29] Strigid: that it cannot physically fit itself through the gap.]
[22.04.2024 01:40:13] Strigid: [Pulling away for but a moment, the corpse rams a battered, shattered arm through the gap, fingers groping blindly for
[22.04.2024 01:40:18] Strigid: the boy behind the controls.]
[22.04.2024 01:40:38] A/)-Lazurith: [Red alert intermittent lights began to flash the interior of the cockpit.]
[22.04.2024 01:40:58] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat yelled in panic, as he stumbled backwards to try to avoid the groping swipe.]

[22.04.2024 01:42:44] A/)-Lazurith: F-fuck... wh-- what the hell...
[22.04.2024 01:42:53] Strigid: [Not just bone, though. Where the pilot once sported tendons and ligaments, now rested sickly, off-color strands of gelatinous

[22.04.2024 01:43:26] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat blindly lunged for his handgun, aiming it at the shifting mass of tendrils and bone trying to seep through the-

[22.04.2024 01:44:03] Strigid: [And seep it is. The creature is learning, slowly but surely. The tendrils ensnaring the Falchion are creeping towards the gap,
[22.04.2024 01:44:25] Strigid: slowly seeping through, crushing the body of the pilot in a mad race to enter the Technocrat ship.]
[22.04.2024 01:45:05] A/)-Lazurith: [Realising a bullet would do more harm than good in this situation, the Technocrat left his weapon on the floor.]
[22.04.2024 01:45:41] A/)-Lazurith: [In a rush, he reached for a small fire extinguisher, foaming the undulating mass in white chemicals.]
[22.04.2024 01:45:48] A/)-Lazurith: STAY THE FUCK BACK!

[22.04.2024 01:46:49] Strigid: [All at once, the being recoils as the powdered substance smothers the gooey, gelatinous tendrils seeping into the cockpit.]
[22.04.2024 01:47:15] Strigid: [Were it not for the vacuum of space, it's likely an ear-piercing, keening wail would be echoing for miles.]
[22.04.2024 01:47:52] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat breathes heavily, his hyperventilation is accentuated through the comm device in his helmet.]
[22.04.2024 01:48:12] Strigid: [Retreating from the gap, each tendril begins to frantically grind against its partner, spreading the powdered fire retardant
[22.04.2024 01:48:21] Strigid: in a vain attempt to rid itself of the stuff.]

[22.04.2024 01:49:46] Strigid: [With the beast so distracted, it's likely the gap could be opened significantly, perhaps far enough that a repeat occurrence
[22.04.2024 01:49:50] Strigid: would be unlikely.
[22.04.2024 01:50:16] A/)-Lazurith: [He reached for the console, and moved the controls backwards to thrust the Falchion away.]
[22.04.2024 01:50:51] Strigid: [The mouth of the once-pilot opens in a silent roar as the predatory tendrils slip free. Where they once contacted the

[22.04.2024 01:52:17] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat glances in horror, as the withering effect began to seep like an oil stain.]
[22.04.2024 01:52:30] Strigid: [Like a fisherman reeling in his lure, the pilot, now significantly worse for wear, is pulled back into the command couch.]
[22.04.2024 01:53:20] A/)-Lazurith: H--holy shit... what... what the hell is happening...
[22.04.2024 01:53:40] Strigid: [Where the pilot returns to simple twitching and spasming, the fungal tendrils still extending from the ship begin to coil and
[22.04.2024 01:54:00] Strigid: twist, wrapping about the wings of the Sichel like a snake, constricting tightly.]
[22.04.2024 01:54:36] Strigid: [The belly of the craft is soon extending the same gooey tentacles, slithering back towards the engine exhausts.]
[22.04.2024 01:55:00] A/)-Lazurith: [With fumbling movements, the Falchion responds to the Technocrat's panicked commands, as he tries to circle the Sichel.]
[22.04.2024 01:55:44] Strigid: [Wrapping about the nozzles themselves, the engines begin to sputter and flutter to life. The ruined corpse of the pilot grasps
[22.04.2024 01:55:52] A/)-Lazurith: Nnrgh... I've-- I've gotta bring this thing in for analysis... I can't let it get away!
[22.04.2024 01:56:07] Strigid: the control yoke in a cruel mockery of pilotry, every movement reflected in the motions of the rear tentacles.]
[22.04.2024 01:56:45] Strigid: [Perhaps the Sichel's reputation for fortitude under fire is not undeserved. With a roar of escaping gases, the ship lurches
[22.04.2024 01:56:52] Strigid: forward, away from the Falchion at a breakneck pace.]
[22.04.2024 01:57:40] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat tries to put its damaged Falchion to its limits, chasing down the botanical nightmare.]
[22.04.2024 01:58:21] A/)-Lazurith: G-get back... we're not done here! You're coming with me!
[22.04.2024 01:58:26] Strigid: [The tentacles operating the exhaust nozzles are soon joined by another, this one physically, -manually- launching a mine from
[22.04.2024 01:58:30] Strigid: the rear of the craft.]
[22.04.2024 01:58:34] A/)-Lazurith: A mine!
[22.04.2024 01:58:58] Strigid: [The mine, though, seems to entirely lack the explosive payload. Rather, it splatters against the cockpit... And the hole in
[22.04.2024 01:59:00] Strigid: it.]
[22.04.2024 01:59:26] A/)-Lazurith: Rrghhhhh! Cockpit's gone dark!
[22.04.2024 01:59:35] Strigid: [Perhaps explosives would've been kinder, considering the offputting sizzling and smoking emanating from any surface contacted
[22.04.2024 01:59:39] Strigid: by the biohazardous payload.]
[22.04.2024 01:59:42] A/)-Lazurith: Can't... see a thing...
[22.04.2024 02:00:07] A/)-Lazurith: Oooooohhhshit... Not good...
[22.04.2024 02:00:36] Strigid: [The clock's ticking, Technocrat. Is a little mushroom worth your life? Plenty of time to scoot back home...]
[22.04.2024 02:00:44] Strigid: [Wipe that stuff off, before it eats a hole in your suit.]
[22.04.2024 02:01:01] A/)-Lazurith: N-not yet! I've still got... one last trick!
[22.04.2024 02:01:25] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat leaned away from the controls, rapidly jotting something on his wristpad.]
[22.04.2024 02:01:40] A/)-Lazurith: {:: trackerpod.01 - ACTIVE
[22.04.2024 02:01:49] A/)-Lazurith: EAT THIS!
[22.04.2024 02:02:01] A/)-Lazurith: [A cruise disruptor was fired on the Sichel.]
[22.04.2024 02:02:04] Strigid: [With sufficient power regenerated, the Sichel slows, beginning to charge its cruise engines.]
[22.04.2024 02:02:28] A/)-Lazurith: [But no - it was not just a cruise disruptor. A small object latched itself on the hull of the Sichel.]
[22.04.2024 02:02:56] A/)-Lazurith: Aah... ahaha...
[22.04.2024 02:03:00] Strigid: [A greasy, stained tendril smears itself over the small, limpet-shaped device, attempting to remove the foreign object.]
[22.04.2024 02:03:04] Strigid: [To no avail.]
[22.04.2024 02:04:13] A/)-Lazurith: I'll-- I'll get you next time... [The Technocrat's comms crackled, as the ship's glass began to sizzle violently.]
[22.04.2024 02:04:29] A/)-Lazurith: F-fuck... better get out...
[22.04.2024 02:05:22] Strigid: [Deafening silence. The ship, and whatever monstrosity remains aboard, is gone.]
Except this time, there is nothing left to hunt. Because it crashed itself in the bowels of Valravn and spewed its spores and... well, see for yourself.
Order those morons to contain this infection at once. If we won't take immediate action, the Technocracy is done for.
[24.04.2024 03:43:54] A/)-Lazurith: Oooooooooooooooh shit.
[24.04.2024 03:44:00] A/)-Lazurith: Uh.
[24.04.2024 03:44:17] A/)-Lazurith: Uh, Will.
[24.04.2024 03:44:28] A/)-Lazurith: You... wouldn't happen to have any plasma grenades on that thing, right?
[24.04.2024 03:44:37] A/)-Lazurith: Or anything that can... kill organic matter with ease.
[24.04.2024 03:44:43] A/)-Lazurith: This is really important.
[24.04.2024 03:45:01] Vagrant.Rakshasa: "If yours need assistance, one of ours Lightbringers is in these seas."
[24.04.2024 03:45:28] Proctor: ...I might.
[24.04.2024 03:45:32] A/)-Lazurith: Weeeeeell.
[24.04.2024 03:45:48] Proctor: Is this that... thing?
[24.04.2024 03:45:53] A/)-Lazurith: Yyep.
[24.04.2024 03:45:57] Proctor: Fuck.
[24.04.2024 03:46:04] Proctor: You -didn't- kill it?
[24.04.2024 03:46:08] A/)-Lazurith: I couldn't, man.
[24.04.2024 03:46:21] A/)-Lazurith: My cockpit was melted.
[24.04.2024 03:46:38] A/)-Lazurith: Had a single drop of that acid stuff gotten on my suit, I would've been done for.
[24.04.2024 03:47:17] A/)-Lazurith: We still need a sample from that thing, but good luck getting close to it.
[24.04.2024 03:47:38] A/)-Lazurith: Y'know what, I hate that zombie so much, I'm going to call him Hank.
[24.04.2024 03:47:42] A/)-Lazurith: Do NOT get close to Hank.
[24.04.2024 03:47:44] Proctor: Hank.
[24.04.2024 03:47:48] A/)-Lazurith: Hank. Yeah.
[24.04.2024 03:47:50] Strigid: [The Sichel slows, then halts. Rather than the deafening silence present during the last encounter, though, there's finally
[24.04.2024 03:47:54] Strigid: some proper sign of life.]
[24.04.2024 03:47:56] A/)-Lazurith: I was thinking of Bob.
[24.04.2024 03:48:16] Proctor: It's a Sichel, right? Wouldn't it be a name in German?
[24.04.2024 03:48:23] Strigid: "This-... Ell-doubleyou-bee-... Grau-9-..."
[24.04.2024 03:48:30] Proctor: CHRIST!
[24.04.2024 03:48:39] A/)-Lazurith: Picking up garbled nonsense. Check your feedback.

[24.04.2024 03:49:33] Strigid: [The previously-placed tracking beacon continues to return a signal, though it has degraded slightly.]
[24.04.2024 03:49:59] A/)-Lazurith: Mm. Yeah, no. I switched through a few channels, and it's feedback on my end.
[24.04.2024 03:50:08] A/)-Lazurith: From the probe I attached to that thing.
[24.04.2024 03:50:22] Proctor: Well...
[24.04.2024 03:50:26] Proctor: Nothing ventured.
[24.04.2024 03:50:34] A/)-Lazurith: Don't be reckless.

[24.04.2024 03:51:03] A/)-Lazurith: Don't be stupid.
[24.04.2024 03:51:03] Proctor: Well, I do have a gun.
[24.04.2024 03:51:16] A/)-Lazurith: A gun is pretty fucking useless if he's up against your cockpit, don't you think?
[24.04.2024 03:51:31] Proctor: Well, let me get some scans, at least.
[24.04.2024 03:51:45] A/)-Lazurith: You'd either be shooting yourself with a ricoshot, or you'd welcome yourself to a catastrophic canopy decompression.
[24.04.2024 03:51:48] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, and also die.
[24.04.2024 03:51:56] Proctor: Do you not wear a suit?

[24.04.2024 03:52:12] A/)-Lazurith: Not all the time. I like to let my hair breathe.
[24.04.2024 03:53:18] Proctor: There it is.
[24.04.2024 03:53:18] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The Warform halts close to the Sichel. A faint shimmer of light but there was only silence. It observed."}*

[24.04.2024 03:54:10] Proctor: It just keeps looping.
[24.04.2024 03:54:18] A/)-Lazurith: Keep your distance at any cost.
[24.04.2024 03:54:33] A/)-Lazurith: Do not come close to it, if it comes close to you, back the fuck up.
[24.04.2024 03:54:48] Proctor: Luckily, I just finished tuning this thing.
[24.04.2024 03:54:52] A/)-Lazurith: It's a sentient plant, Will.
[24.04.2024 03:55:06] Strigid: "...-ott sie Danke, finally, rescu-..."
[24.04.2024 03:55:39] Strigid: [The nose of the craft is positioned away from both the sun and the incoming craft, perhaps intentionally.]
[24.04.2024 03:55:47] Proctor: [He keeps his hand on the throttle, standing at a distance.]
[24.04.2024 03:56:19] A/)-Lazurith: Listen: there is a huge growth of mutated vegetation inside that is fully sentient.
[24.04.2024 03:56:24] Strigid: "...-jection mechanism dama-..." "...-anual extraction from the cockpi-..."
[24.04.2024 03:56:38] A/)-Lazurith: It's an organism capable of a threat or fear response.
[24.04.2024 03:57:00] A/)-Lazurith: It can use its vines to somehow power up its engines.
[24.04.2024 03:57:02] Proctor: We can burn it.
[24.04.2024 03:57:16] A/)-Lazurith: No... we should get a sample out of it.
[24.04.2024 03:57:16] Vagrant.Rakshasa: "A threat, to yours. Not ours."
[24.04.2024 03:57:33] Strigid: "...-lease, hel-... ...-on't last much longe-..."
[24.04.2024 03:57:42] A/)-Lazurith: Listen - if this thing is real, it's proof that there may be a huge infection somewhere in Sirius.
[24.04.2024 03:58:03] Proctor: Mm. It's a threat to all of us, potentially.
[24.04.2024 03:58:18] A/)-Lazurith: I'm pretty sure some eggheads can figure out the mutagen's rate, reason and point of origin.
[24.04.2024 03:58:25] Strigid: [Where the ship had previously read as dangerously low on power, and with distinct Nomad signatures aboard, it now appears
[24.04.2024 03:58:44] Strigid: to have no shortage of the former, and the signatures of the latter have nearly dissipated.]
[24.04.2024 03:59:45] A/)-Lazurith: ...
[24.04.2024 03:59:50] A/)-Lazurith: Hrmm...
[24.04.2024 04:00:03] A/)-Lazurith: I think he's waiting for prey right now. Like an angler fish.
[24.04.2024 04:00:14] A/)-Lazurith: I would know, I fell for it myself.
[24.04.2024 04:00:20] Vagrant.Rakshasa: "We sense the presence. Ours. Faint."
[24.04.2024 04:00:32] A/)-Lazurith: Don't go anywhere near that thing if you know what's good for you.
[24.04.2024 04:00:33] Strigid: "...-actor leak, estima-... ...-ree hours to bre-... ...-lease, /help me/!"
[24.04.2024 04:00:46] Proctor: If we can disable the onboard systems... We can find a way to contain the pilot, then destroy the craft.
[24.04.2024 04:00:49] Proctor: Get our sample that way.
[24.04.2024 04:01:10] A/)-Lazurith: The pilot is dead. The plants are probably using it as a conduit.
[24.04.2024 04:01:16] Notice: Armor Upgrades have been removed from the server. You will have received a full refund at purchase price.
[24.04.2024 04:01:48] Strigid: [On the 'dark' side of the Sichel, there's a hint of a slithering motion, just barely peeking around the silhouette of the
[24.04.2024 04:01:53] Strigid: vessel.]
[24.04.2024 04:02:09] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The light brims once more. The warform searches for something. A mind to connect to.}*
[24.04.2024 04:02:38] A/)-Lazurith: I have reason to believe that removing the pilot may also cause the vegetation to die.
[24.04.2024 04:02:51] Strigid: [In response, there is only the faintest glimmer of light from the pilot, and an all-encompassing darkness enshrouding it.]
[24.04.2024 04:03:08] Proctor: Explain the reasoning?
[24.04.2024 04:03:28] A/)-Lazurith: The plants can't operate a machine this large without a host.
[24.04.2024 04:03:47] Proctor: You think it's drawing on the pilot for know-how?
[24.04.2024 04:04:02] A/)-Lazurith: Not just know-how, but they are probably leeching on his nervous system as well.
[24.04.2024 04:04:09] A/)-Lazurith: Using him as a human conductor.
[24.04.2024 04:04:46] A/)-Lazurith: Ripping him out will probably cause the plants to be inert - dangerous, and a biohazard, but inert.
[24.04.2024 04:05:05] Vagrant.Rakshasa: (Curiosity. Confusion.) "A faint glimmer of light, enshrouded by darkness."
[24.04.2024 04:05:10] Strigid: "...-ay again, Grau-9, life support is fa-..."
[24.04.2024 04:05:44] A/)-Lazurith: I'll try to spook it.
[24.04.2024 04:05:48] A/)-Lazurith: You stand back.
[24.04.2024 04:05:49] Strigid: [The ship twitches slightly, one of the off-green wings seeming to loosen and droop slightly, before contracting back to a more
[24.04.2024 04:05:55] Strigid: normal position.]
[24.04.2024 04:06:17] A/)-Lazurith: {:: target locked
[24.04.2024 04:06:21] Proctor: [Will looks down, taking out a rather sizeable modular sidearm. He loads it with a magazine, racking the slide back.]
[24.04.2024 04:06:28] A/)-Lazurith: I'm going to fire a cruise disruptor on it.
[24.04.2024 04:06:34] A/)-Lazurith: Hands on the wheel.
[24.04.2024 04:06:52] Proctor: [Using his thumb, he scrolls through a digital menu of fire select options before settling on a little flame symbol.]
[24.04.2024 04:07:07] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat followed, by sending a lightning fast cruise disruptor against the Sichel.]
[24.04.2024 04:07:44] Strigid: [Unlike the previous interaction, a dark orange, barely-coherent blob is excreted from the rear of the ship, roughly analogous
[24.04.2024 04:07:49] Strigid: to a countermeasure flare.]
[24.04.2024 04:08:03] A/)-Lazurith: Shit... it evolved since last time.
[24.04.2024 04:08:14] A/)-Lazurith: Fuck me dead. This is awful...
[24.04.2024 04:08:31] Strigid: "...-ott sie Danke, finally, rescu-..."
[24.04.2024 04:08:49] A/)-Lazurith: I think I just saw a bio-organic leak that just... ate my disruptor.
[24.04.2024 04:08:55] Proctor: Then we need to deal with it before it gets worse.
[24.04.2024 04:09:06] Strigid: [The Sichel twitches slightly, poorly-maintained scanners probing the human-produced ships in range... And the warform.]
[24.04.2024 04:09:10] A/)-Lazurith: I-- no, I can't. I cannot.
[24.04.2024 04:09:30] A/)-Lazurith: Will, please don't get yourself killed. Be careful.
[24.04.2024 04:09:32] Proctor: This is the worst time to get scared, kid...
[24.04.2024 04:09:36] Proctor: Fuck's sakes.
[24.04.2024 04:09:39] A/)-Lazurith: I can't. I can't do it!
[24.04.2024 04:09:41] Strigid: [With a puff of maneuvering thrusters, the Sichel begins to drift slowly towards the Siris, carefully orienting the cockpit
[24.04.2024 04:09:45] Strigid: away from the local observers.]
[24.04.2024 04:09:56] Proctor: You gonna -run-!?
[24.04.2024 04:10:07] Proctor: I thought I trained you better. Guess not.
[24.04.2024 04:10:14] A/)-Lazurith: What the fuck am I supposed to do in this situation.
[24.04.2024 04:10:22] Proctor: You defend your home!
[24.04.2024 04:10:28] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The husk of the Siris shimmers in a faint, mirroring light. Energy surging, but it remained still for now.}*
[24.04.2024 04:10:39] A/)-Lazurith: It's a biohazard that could wipe out a lot of people and I don't know what to do.
[24.04.2024 04:10:49] Proctor: This thing could put all of us in danger, and it's up to us to contain it somehow, or destroy it if need be.
[24.04.2024 04:10:49] A/)-Lazurith: You can't just... kill it.
[24.04.2024 04:10:57] A/)-Lazurith: I mean, ideally, yes!
[24.04.2024 04:10:58] Proctor: We'll atomize the thing if we have to.
[24.04.2024 04:11:03] Proctor: But we have to -try-!
[24.04.2024 04:11:05] A/)-Lazurith: But we need to figure out where it came from.
[24.04.2024 04:11:14] Proctor: Scan it. Sensors show it's probably Gaian.
[24.04.2024 04:11:15] A/)-Lazurith: Or this will happen again and again.
[24.04.2024 04:11:17] Strigid: [The rear of the Sichel brushes against the veil of the Siris, slowing, slowing, slowing... But not quite stopping.]
[24.04.2024 04:11:19] Proctor: The organism, I mean.
[24.04.2024 04:11:43] A/)-Lazurith: Listen, new plan.
[24.04.2024 04:11:56] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The mirco organisms that create the veil of the nomad shimmer with every contact. But they remain protective.}*
[24.04.2024 04:11:59] A/)-Lazurith: He's enthralled by people looking at him.
[24.04.2024 04:12:14] A/)-Lazurith: ...No, not gonna work.
[24.04.2024 04:12:25] A/)-Lazurith: I can't distract an organism with so many sensory bits.
[24.04.2024 04:12:35] Proctor: You can overstimulate it.
[24.04.2024 04:12:43] Strigid: [The Sichel presses 'back' with just a touch more force, attempting to make physical contact with the Siris.]
[24.04.2024 04:12:46] Proctor: ...countermeasures.
[24.04.2024 04:12:50] Proctor: Laz!
[24.04.2024 04:13:00] A/)-Lazurith: I don't have any.
[24.04.2024 04:13:06] Proctor: Well, I do.
[24.04.2024 04:13:18] Proctor: [The Ghoul moves to make a pass, dropping flares behind it.
[24.04.2024 04:13:28] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The moment the Siris was touched, the micro organisms lash out. The tendrils of the Warform attempt to engulve the Sichel-
[24.04.2024 04:13:44] Vagrant.Rakshasa: -completely. Trying to hold the ship in place. To distract.}*
[24.04.2024 04:14:03] A/)-Lazurith: ...Guess there's always a bigger fish.
[24.04.2024 04:14:11] Strigid: [As soon as the swarm of countermeasure flares begin to shimmer, every maneuvering thruster aboard the Sichel flares to life.]
[24.04.2024 04:14:54] Proctor: C'mon... I don't want to think about what'll happen in a tug-of-war between those two.
[24.04.2024 04:15:13] Strigid: [Driving its knife-like wings into the 'body' of the Nomad proper, that very tug-of-war begins, but not a purely physical one.]
[24.04.2024 04:15:33] A/)-Lazurith: We could... urgh... try to shoot off a wing? Maybe?
[24.04.2024 04:15:51] Strigid: [Familiar tentacles and tendrils of off-orange coloration begin to adhere themselves to the warform, sharpened tips digging
[24.04.2024 04:15:59] Strigid: through and into the 'flesh' of the Nomad.]
[24.04.2024 04:16:26] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The siris flickers, the light growing stronger. It mirrors the light of an Elder. An old one at that. The tug of war has-
[24.04.2024 04:17:19] Vagrant.Rakshasa: -started. The husk penetrated, the tendrils 'choke' the ship. The micro organisms flood into every crack of the ship, or-
[24.04.2024 04:17:32] Proctor: SHIT! LAZ!
[24.04.2024 04:17:43] Vagrant.Rakshasa: -attempt to atleast. An intention to subdue the being, in her own way.}*
[24.04.2024 04:17:52] Proctor: [The Ghoul moves in, firing off a couple rounds into the rear of the Sichel to try and pry it off.]
[24.04.2024 04:17:58] Strigid: "...-lease, hel-... ...-on't last much longe-..." [In a cruel mockery of biological processes, the same acid that previously
[24.04.2024 04:18:30] Strigid: scarred the Falchion begin to seep into the Warform itself, slowly eating away at its protective shell. The weapons fire from
[24.04.2024 04:18:52] Strigid: the Ghoul is quickly absorbed by the semi-sentient microorganisms protecting the Siris, at least, to a major degree.]
[24.04.2024 04:19:58] A/)-Lazurith: The Nomad has to release Hank.
[24.04.2024 04:20:09] A/)-Lazurith: Or else this isn't going to work.
[24.04.2024 04:20:16] Proctor: Christ. Listen, big Nomad lady, let us handle it.
[24.04.2024 04:20:18] Death: Starally was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[24.04.2024 04:20:23] Proctor: Alright?
[24.04.2024 04:20:51] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The protective shell of the Siris shimmers, then fails. Before the microorganisms return, they seek to cause the engines to-
[24.04.2024 04:20:57] Strigid: [Tick-tock. The being aboard is digging ever deeper, the flesh of the Nomad near the site of attachment beginning to take on a
[24.04.2024 04:21:06] Proctor: Yo. We got a situation. [A potentially familiar voice. William Foulke.]
[24.04.2024 04:21:06] Strigid: sickly pallor.]
[24.04.2024 04:21:29] Rules Tip: Do not disconnect from the server to escape player versus player interaction. Your ship will remain helpless in space for 2 minutes and you will not be able to reconnect during this time.
[24.04.2024 04:21:36] A/)-Megiddo: What have <we> walked into?
[24.04.2024 04:21:41] A/)-Lazurith: You have to let go. Right now.
[24.04.2024 04:21:42] Vagrant.Rakshasa: -malfunction. The nomad releases the ship soon after. Light pulsing through it, the Warform heating up its own being. An-
[24.04.2024 04:21:58] A/)-Lazurith: Megiddo, keep your distance.
[24.04.2024 04:22:01] Proctor: If it can infect Nomads, we -need- to take it down.
[24.04.2024 04:22:02] A/)-Lazurith: Do NOT approach that Sichel!
[24.04.2024 04:22:02] Vagrant.Rakshasa: -attempt to purge the invasive attack.}*
[24.04.2024 04:22:24] A/)-Lazurith: Back away. All of you.
[24.04.2024 04:22:45] Strigid: [Clinging as tightly as it dares, the engines of the Sichel flare, bodily tearing a -chunk- from the Nomad. The resulting wound
[24.04.2024 04:23:01] Strigid: is left with festering, ragged edges, and a similar biological signature to the spores previously encountered departs with the
[24.04.2024 04:23:03] Strigid: Siris.]
[24.04.2024 04:23:34] Proctor: Boys. We need to take care of this.
[24.04.2024 04:23:40] A/)-Megiddo: One fighter, Rheinland outlaw make. Alien biologics aboard and... on, the vessel? Novel.
[24.04.2024 04:23:40] A/)-Lazurith: Hoooly shit. Did it just take a chunk out of that Nomad?
[24.04.2024 04:23:56] Proctor: Recommend disabling the thing.
[24.04.2024 04:24:13] Strigid: "...-known biological signa-... ...-rau-9, to any ships in ra-..."
[24.04.2024 04:24:13] A/)-Lazurith: Punch your slash-s-eye command. It should warn you of the biological thread in there.
[24.04.2024 04:24:17] A/)-Megiddo: Rakshasa, <I> have met you before. Can you provide /insight/?
[24.04.2024 04:24:25] Vagrant.Rakshasa: "Yours have your sample on ours husk."
[24.04.2024 04:24:28] [OOC] A/)-Lazurith: threat*
[24.04.2024 04:24:38] Proctor: Hell of a way to gather a specimen...
[24.04.2024 04:24:51] Proctor: We can take care of it, then.
[24.04.2024 04:24:54] A/)-Megiddo: Our sample? Lazurith, request /context/.
[24.04.2024 04:25:06] A/)-Lazurith: This Sichel contains... uh...
[24.04.2024 04:25:15] A/)-Lazurith: Well, there's--
[24.04.2024 04:25:16] Strigid: [The vessel shudders once more, and from his angle to the side, it's not unlikely that Lazurith could bear witness to a
[24.04.2024 04:25:19] A/)-Megiddo: What did we /do/?
[24.04.2024 04:25:31] Strigid: half-skeletal, ghoulish visage staring into his very soul.]
[24.04.2024 04:25:35] A/)-Lazurith: [He took a deep breath.] There's a goddamn zombie infested by a mutant fungal growth.
[24.04.2024 04:25:42] Vagrant.Rakshasa: "It might 'infect' ours husk, but we are many. We do not die from such. A new husk will be born. But our form wavers."
[24.04.2024 04:25:43] A/)-Lazurith: And if it spreads, we're all fucked.
[24.04.2024 04:26:10] A/)-Megiddo: My artificial self suggests an inelegant solution. Kill /it/ with /fire/.
[24.04.2024 04:26:14] A/)-Lazurith: D-damn. Bastard's still in there.
[24.04.2024 04:26:30] A/)-Lazurith: No - we can't. We need a good chunk of samples, or this will happen again.
[24.04.2024 04:26:37] Strigid: [The seams and welds of the Sichel appear to swell and twitch as the chunk of Nomad adhered to the gut of the vessle shrinks in
[24.04.2024 04:26:39] A/)-Lazurith: We have to figure out where it came from.
[24.04.2024 04:26:39] Strigid: size.]
[24.04.2024 04:27:23] Strigid: [Whatever passes for a reactor aboard is increasing in output. Not through any mechanism so garish as the human imitation of a
[24.04.2024 04:27:38] Strigid: Nomad power cell, but something more base, more biological.]
[24.04.2024 04:27:43] A/)-Lazurith: ...Alright. Maybe we could try to...
[24.04.2024 04:27:45] Proctor: Then let's focus on rendering it inoperable.
[24.04.2024 04:27:55] A/)-Lazurith: Alright. Hang on, let's test how it reacts to this.
[24.04.2024 04:27:57] [OOC] A/)-Megiddo: Geno what's your rank?
[24.04.2024 04:28:04] Changing screen mode=windowed

[24.04.2024 04:28:25] [OOC] A/)-Megiddo: No seriously because I-
[24.04.2024 04:28:30] [OOC] A/)-Lazurith: yaya warden
[24.04.2024 04:28:42] A/)-Lazurith: What the--
[24.04.2024 04:28:49] Proctor: Shit...
[24.04.2024 04:28:56] A/)-Lazurith: Everybody, stand back! We need to act fast!
[24.04.2024 04:29:10] A/)-Lazurith: Fire your cruise disruptors at the Sichel.
[24.04.2024 04:29:18] Strigid: [Perhaps the source of the infection is less important than the result, considering the rapidly-spreading -wrongness-
[24.04.2024 04:29:18] A/)-Lazurith: We need to see if it can be overwhelmed.
[24.04.2024 04:29:22] Strigid: taking root in the Siris.]
[24.04.2024 04:29:28] Proctor: Copy. Firing.
[24.04.2024 04:29:40] A/)-Lazurith: More biomass!
[24.04.2024 04:29:50] A/)-Lazurith: Shit, Nomad's gone psycho!
[24.04.2024 04:29:54] Proctor: Christ...
[24.04.2024 04:30:06] A/)-Megiddo: Should have killed it when this was an /easy/ job.
[24.04.2024 04:30:24] Proctor: What's the name of it?
[24.04.2024 04:30:32] A/)-Megiddo: Megiddo surpressing fire on Strigid. My artificial self will <try> not to kill it.
[24.04.2024 04:30:46] Proctor: Listen, Nomad lady! If you can hear me, you need to drive that form into the sun!
[24.04.2024 04:30:52] Strigid: [With one final glance at the Technocrats, the pilot of the Sichel rams the throttle forward, leaving a plume of vileness in
[24.04.2024 04:30:54] Proctor: Purge the fuckin' thing!
[24.04.2024 04:30:55] Strigid: its wake.]
[24.04.2024 04:30:56] A/)-Lazurith: It's getting away.
[24.04.2024 04:31:07] Proctor: It can't spread!
[24.04.2024 04:31:11] A/)-Lazurith: Fucker knows he's outnumbered.
[24.04.2024 04:31:24] Proctor: Contain it, no matter what!
[24.04.2024 04:31:33] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{No response. The orange shimmer inside the nomad however dims. It stopped firing.}*
[24.04.2024 04:31:41] Strigid: [The additional velocity 'peels' the wing panels back slightly, revealing a pulsating mass of flesh and circuitry beneath.]
[24.04.2024 04:31:46] Proctor: It's disrupted!
[24.04.2024 04:32:12] Proctor: Assisting you all!
[24.04.2024 04:32:16] A/)-Lazurith: It's going to try to fight tooth and nail for its survival.
[24.04.2024 04:32:27] A/)-Lazurith: Alright - let's think about this carefully.
[24.04.2024 04:32:27] A/)-Megiddo: Proctor, Lazurith, /my/ ship is not susceptible.
[24.04.2024 04:32:32] A/)-Megiddo: Suggest you stay back.
[24.04.2024 04:32:39] A/)-Lazurith: It is.
[24.04.2024 04:32:52] Proctor: That thing took over the ship's systems. It can violate non-organic materials.
[24.04.2024 04:32:54] A/)-Lazurith: He-- uh, has some kind of bile that can rot a lot of metals.
[24.04.2024 04:33:00] Strigid: [Another ejection, this one significantly more dense, appearing as a loosely-contained 'blob' of phlegm.]
[24.04.2024 04:33:07] Proctor: Dodge!
[24.04.2024 04:33:09] Vagrant.Rakshasa: *{The Siris turns, heading towards the star. It flickers, the Elder keeping control as the Siris starts to burn off}*
[24.04.2024 04:33:24] A/)-Lazurith: Watch those things!
[24.04.2024 04:33:25] Proctor: She did it... fuck.
[24.04.2024 04:33:30] A/)-Megiddo: My artificial self can be transferred to another platform. You cannot.
[24.04.2024 04:33:36] Death: Vagrant.Rakshasa suffered a self-inflicted catastrophic decompression.
[24.04.2024 04:33:39] Proctor: Then do it!
[24.04.2024 04:34:00] A/)-Megiddo: <I> am /ending/ this here.
[24.04.2024 04:34:15] Proctor: You won't get anyone else!
[24.04.2024 04:34:16] A/)-Lazurith: Remember - do not kill it.
[24.04.2024 04:34:27] Proctor: If you need to kill it, you need to.
[24.04.2024 04:35:45] Proctor: Shit... we might need to step in if things get bad.
[24.04.2024 04:35:57] A/)-Lazurith: We're going to get melted if that happens.
[24.04.2024 04:36:02] A/)-Lazurith: We aren't robots.
[24.04.2024 04:36:06] Proctor: I ain't riskin' this thing gettin' more biomass, Laz.
[24.04.2024 04:37:00] [OOC] A/)-Megiddo: Can we pause a sec rl
[24.04.2024 04:37:06] A/)-Lazurith: Don't be stupid.
[24.04.2024 04:37:34] Strigid: [The reactor output of the Sichel flickers, the lifeform aboard shedding the last remnants of the Nomad shell.]
[24.04.2024 04:37:35] [OOC] A/)-Megiddo: all good
[24.04.2024 04:37:41] Proctor: What do you think happens if that thing escapes and starts preyin' on random spacers?
[24.04.2024 04:37:45] CONSOLE: Possible cheating detected: Zeezod
[24.04.2024 04:38:01] A/)-Megiddo: Is that /good/?
[24.04.2024 04:38:10] Proctor: No idea, we're learning on the fly, here.
[24.04.2024 04:38:15] Proctor: I presume it's strugglin'.
[24.04.2024 04:38:21] A/)-Lazurith: This might be happening right now already.
[24.04.2024 04:38:36] Proctor: Then it's on us to contain it.
[24.04.2024 04:38:42] Strigid: [The twitching of the pilot aboard only grows more intense. Perhaps the being is being stretched to the limit of its ability to
[24.04.2024 04:38:44] A/)-Lazurith: Yes - exactly. Contain, not kill.
[24.04.2024 04:38:46] Strigid: read and control its host?]
[24.04.2024 04:38:59] Proctor: It might be a luxury we can't afford.
[24.04.2024 04:39:11] A/)-Lazurith: It's getting more erratic...
[24.04.2024 04:40:27] Proctor: Just, whatever happens, it's not getting away.
[24.04.2024 04:40:33] Proctor: Alright?
[24.04.2024 04:40:51] A/)-Lazurith: You know, we could leave another tracker on it and see where it goes.
[24.04.2024 04:41:06] A/)-Lazurith: A limping hog is easier prey than a healthy one.
[24.04.2024 04:41:30] A/)-Lazurith: It could leave enough of a trail for us to figure out where it hides.
[24.04.2024 04:41:43] Notice: Armor Upgrades have been removed from the server. You will have received a full refund at purchase price.
[24.04.2024 04:42:47] Proctor: Not keen on makin' an experiment of things.
[24.04.2024 04:43:04] Strigid: [As the damage begins to accumulate, the vessel's movements become more and more erratic.]
[24.04.2024 04:43:12] Proctor: Especially where we ain't in control.
[24.04.2024 04:43:16] A/)-Lazurith: I think it's done for.
[24.04.2024 04:43:28] Proctor: Last legs...
[24.04.2024 04:43:34] A/)-Megiddo: The planet.
[24.04.2024 04:43:41] Proctor: Or... Valravn?
[24.04.2024 04:43:43] A/)-Lazurith: No way...
[24.04.2024 04:43:44] A/)-Megiddo: Ismara.
[24.04.2024 04:43:52] Proctor: Take it out! NOW!
[24.04.2024 04:43:53] Strigid: [A surge of power from the thrusters.]
[24.04.2024 04:43:54] A/)-Lazurith: No, this guy has to go now.
[24.04.2024 04:44:01] A/)-Lazurith: Opening fire.

[24.04.2024 04:44:52] Strigid was obliterated by A/)-Megiddo (90%)
[24.04.2024 04:44:52] Assisted by: A/)-Lazurith (8%)
[24.04.2024 04:44:58] Proctor: Shit! Contact damage control!
[24.04.2024 04:45:19] A/)-Lazurith: That... was a level four or five biohazard, guys.
[24.04.2024 04:45:25] Strigid: [And then silence, puncuated by a great gout of spores, flesh, viscera, and vileness.]
[24.04.2024 04:45:29] Proctor: We need to contain it!
[24.04.2024 04:45:31] A/)-Lazurith: And we just let it crash on Valravn.
[24.04.2024 04:45:38] Proctor: You see, Laz!?
[24.04.2024 04:45:50] A/)-Megiddo: Target made direct contact with three hab modules. May have been sealed in time.
[24.04.2024 04:45:57] A/)-Lazurith: I-- but last time he was limping away.
[24.04.2024 04:46:02] A/)-Lazurith: This doesn't make sense.
[24.04.2024 04:46:07] A/)-Lazurith: Why would he--
[24.04.2024 04:46:26] A/)-Lazurith: I-- I don't understand.
[24.04.2024 04:46:34] Proctor: That's why you don't make a fuckin' experiment when you don't have it under control...
[24.04.2024 04:47:08] A/)-Lazurith: Fuck me, what now.
[24.04.2024 04:47:17] A/)-Lazurith: Hey, pal. Not a good time to be breaching our air space.
[24.04.2024 04:47:30] A/)-Lazurith: Identify yourself.
[24.04.2024 04:47:33] Chevalier.de.Valliere: "You can hold your fire, 'baby'."
[24.04.2024 04:47:35] Proctor: Listen, we need to contain it all.
[24.04.2024 04:47:37] A/)-Megiddo: My artificial self's Prosecutor constitutes a biological hazard, I cannot bring this to Valravn.
[24.04.2024 04:47:50] Proctor: Get damage control, biohazard teams, everything.
[24.04.2024 04:47:54] A/)-Lazurith: Mm. Not funny.
[24.04.2024 04:48:05] Chevalier.de.Valliere: "Only way you would recognize us."
[24.04.2024 04:48:07] Proctor: Scans showed it came from Gaia, probably.
[24.04.2024 04:48:20] Proctor: We need to follow up on that.
[24.04.2024 04:48:41] A/)-Megiddo: Lazurith, my artificial self requests a scan. Is the contamination surface level?
[24.04.2024 04:48:45] A/)-Lazurith: This is just more fuckin' paperwork for me, because the chief gave me carte blanche on this investigation.
[24.04.2024 04:48:49] A/)-Megiddo: <I> can skim the corona to sanitize.
[24.04.2024 04:49:01] A/)-Lazurith: Yeah. Let's not run any risks here. You're full of goo.
[24.04.2024 04:49:07] A/)-Lazurith: I...
[24.04.2024 04:49:19] A/)-Lazurith: Will you be able to re-upload to another frame safely?
[24.04.2024 04:49:27] A/)-Megiddo: Skim, not dive.
[24.04.2024 04:49:42] A/)-Megiddo: Several thousand degrees may prove adequate.
[24.04.2024 04:49:44] Proctor: Christ, the things that grow on that planet...
[24.04.2024 04:49:45] Chevalier.de.Valliere: "The Abyss offers assitance in such. If you need it, of course."
[24.04.2024 04:49:51] A/)-Lazurith: If your ship can handle it, sure.
[24.04.2024 04:50:04] Proctor: Your big form, the one that got infected... I'm guessing that consciousness is fine?
[24.04.2024 04:50:13] A/)-Megiddo: Prosecutor, HF-V series, original make. /She/ can handle it.
[24.04.2024 04:50:28] A/)-Megiddo: One moment.
[24.04.2024 04:50:30] Chevalier.de.Valliere: "Concerned. But fine."
[24.04.2024 04:50:49] A/)-Lazurith: We're so fucked. No way that shit didn't seep in some shaft by now.
[24.04.2024 04:50:58] Proctor: Only one thing for it, kid.
[24.04.2024 04:51:12] A/)-Lazurith: I'm... too tired for this shit.
[24.04.2024 04:51:17] A/)-Lazurith: I'm going to make a report on this later.
[24.04.2024 04:51:31] Proctor: As soon as you can. Need to decontaminate ASAP.
[24.04.2024 04:51:38] Chevalier.de.Valliere: I know a group of researchers that specialise in... let's call it 'Biohazards' and the weaponizing of such.
[24.04.2024 04:52:23] A/)-Lazurith: Fuck...
[24.04.2024 04:52:39] Proctor: Don't suppose they came across something like this in the past?
[24.04.2024 04:52:46] A/)-Lazurith: I'm... turning in for now.
[24.04.2024 04:52:56] A/)-Lazurith: Gonna report this and ring some alarms.
[24.04.2024 04:53:03] 2024-04-24 04:53:03 SMT Traffic control alert: A/)-Lazurith has docked
I had an idea. The perfect idea to maybe take your mind off of everything, and put your attention in an area that your heart is in.
There's a project I launched, called Prometheus. Megiddo has taken command of it, but I'll be overseeing it from afar. I'd like to assign you there as my official representative. Given they'll be operating close to your home, I believe your insight in the region over the past few years will prove invaluable to helping them accomplish their mandate.

Let me be clear. My days in the Technocracy for the last few years or so have been a nightmare. The way things have gone recently, they made me change my perspective on us, on who we are or what we even stand for. You had the right idea when you explained to me what our goal was. But in time, the goals have gone astray. Deals with the devil have been made, betrayals happened, and I was used as a pawn one too many times. And you died. And ever since then, there was nothing but atrophy. Raven lost her head, and the rest is history.
Hell, it's gotten so bad Section Eight operatives are still stuck to me like ticks on a dog in spring. Everyone I've talked to is convinced the Technocracy is the worst thing ever conceived since burnt toast, having them going as far as saying that "putting people like us down is mercy killing". I was pressed for answers regarding Raven and her relevance with the Vault, but I didn't rat out or anything. However I explained to them that I returned to the Technocracy due to my persisting hardware issues and also because I owed it to you, and they weren't too happy to know I came back at all, because why would they. In fact, no one I know is happy about me helping Raven, in spite of me telling them that I'm only in it to help you. I fear they just can't understand what it's like to be very grateful for someone.
But I read the "call to arms" in the daily bulletin. You said something about building bridges, and not burning them. I took this to heart, and I would like to not burn any bridges with the Technocracy, if possible. It's still my home, you're still my family whether I like it or not.
Let's meet halfway. I accept. I can do this for you, and help these people for as long as I can stay away from Valravn while still having access to any safehouses of your choosing just for maintenance. I hardly know how half of the stuff in me works and I would rather not hande this pricey hardware all on my own.
I am very sorry, this isn't a decision I'm taking lightly. I thought returning to the fold would have been fun after seeing Will of all people, but it turned out to be the last nail in the coffin for me after finding out about this little stunt. I don't need time away from the Technocracy, I need distance from it, so that none of the people I trusted will use me like a floor rag again. It will get lonely. But I still intend to do work for you. I could report here on this channel while I'm helping your people do whatever it is they need doing - keep in mind I wasn't Legion, so I will likely have to ask them what their deal is and how I can help them settle down discreetly.
Also, it's likely that I'm under heavy scrutiny by a few more eyes now, and I seriously do not want to add them to the list of people I should look out for. This list is hitting the triple digits in the character counter by this point. Though, yours is probably in the quintuple digits so who am I to complain, right?
I can't say that I'm not disappointed by this outcome, Kristoff. You surround yourself and allow yourself to be swayed by the opinions of outsiders. People who've never set foot in our society, or lived as we've done will never be able to truly understand, without setting aside all they've come to learn in their respective upbringings and seeing the bigger picture. Avoid these interlopers as best you can, and share nothing of what you know. I needn't remind you of the consequences to failing to adhere to OPSEC protocols - regardless of if you fly openly under our banner or not.
Which, you ought to know... It won't matter, in the end. You are a part of us. To your very core. The very foundation of your ideals, as pure of heart as they may be, still reflect in the muddied water left in the wake of my long absence. That's something you'll carry with you always. It's simply the reality of being an Auxesian. There are many problems that slowly I'm working to address. It's why I came forward and confessed to you the other day. Whether you fly for The Technocracy or not, you'll always be one of us - Just a civilian asset now. You might loathe the changes you had made to yourself, but they'll keep you alive in the long run. My existence speaks to that fact.
So, if you'd like assurances that I'll still look out for you, then you'll have to give me something similar in return.
I'll be more than happy to provide you with a nice list of personal safehouses. Each equipped with the necessary automated systems to provide more than adequate maintenance to your implant system and neural network architecture. These won't require anything but verifying your identity and clearance codes, and they'll take care of you just like they take care of Pyke and the others. I'll give the same care, respect and treatment to you as I would my own kin.
You must guarantee that I'll have your discretion and loyalty. Not to Revenant, not to the Technocracy as you and those around you see it, but to me. To my efforts to restore peace, order and prosperity to our people. To compromise anything now, would undermine all that you once believed. Register here, I will fast track the clearance approval, and give me your word that I truly can trust you. From then on, we can operate and communicate via this uplink that you've already set up.
Prove to me what I think I already know, and we'll talk about the Mandate.
...
I won't turn my back on you even if I think you may have lost your way. I am sorry that my misinformed actions had further exacerbated your mistrust of our people. Had I known what I've come to know now, my approach would've differed drastically. Nevertheless, you will always be welcome back under my wing. The Technocracy will always be your home, even if you decide to leave us like many before you have. Respect our people and our privacy, and you'll be welcome always with open arms.
