Over the last several weeks, my conenction seems to be deteriorating. At first, my ping would hang around 120-160, like normal. However, as of late, my ping has been regularly staying at 200, sometimes even spiking up to 260-270. This is making playing rather difficult, and, in any case, it's very, very annoying. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what could be wrong, and if there's some way to fix it.

Thanks for taking the time.
Change ISP, unless you can get your ISP to change their routing to the server, which is located in Germany with some pretty good pipes and pairing agreements leading to it.
Proving to your ISP that something has changed in their routing, means you need to have a traceroute output from when your ping was in the low range, as well as a traceroute output of how it is now.
So, I think I changed my ISP (To be honest, Im not very good with the technical part of computers. I found something that said I could change it using command prompt, and typinf ipconfig /release, and then ipconfig /renew). However, Im still hanging at between 195 and 210.
Im not really sure what a traceroute input is. If you could explain it to me, whether through skype, or in this thread, I'd really appreciate it. Any time someone can help would be nice.

ISP = Internet Service Provider = The company that provide you a connection to the internet, whether it is via cable, via 3G, via ADSL, or Carrier Pidgeons.
Traceroute output = The output from a program commonly included as a tool on TCP/IP aware operating systems, which shows the route between taken between your computer to another computer system.
In Windows OS'es you open a command prompt and type "tracert discogc.game-host.org" without the quoutes, then press enter, to see the route between your computer and the Discovery RP 24/7 game-server.
What you did, was attempt to change your IP address, which has no relevance since that would still be allocated by your ISP, and hence the routing would be the same.
I've given up Skype for Lent. Its a religious thing, so you need be satisfied with my help in this thread, since you can't expect that I would give up my immortal soul, just to help you over Skype.
If You need help via Skype, You might want to try asking one of the Angels, or one of the Admins to help you, since by definition, an Angel has already reached the highest state for an immortal soul, and an Admin doesn't have a soul, so they risk nothing by using Skype.
Well, Im rather certain that Im not going to be able to change my service provider any time soon. and I doubt Im really in a position to try to talk with my current one. Im not old enough to even purchase the previously mentioned service, at this point.
