And don't be afraid to buy a ship just because of a graphics glitch. The only person who sees the glitch is you, and your train is still there, just partial invisible to me.
I agree, it happened to me as well in the past but not with a civilian train, it happened while I was about to attack a rheinland cruiser. As soon as he got closer he was partial invisible.
2nd. I wouldn't like to fly a ship which is partial invisible.:crazy:

I flew a civilian train a while ago but I exchanged it for a ship which I actually could see way more often (and not only for one minute in an hour played). Trust me, it's really annoying to NOT see your shiny new vessel even if it may give you a certain advantage in space combat ^^
Oh, and I vividly remember this one time at the tradelane in New Berlin, when another player asked me how the hell I managed to stealth my ship ...
However, if the updated video driver at least reduces this issue to a minimum, I may give it another try (or someone may pay me for testing)!
Edit Added:
I've posted the Herons bug report into the proper section of the forum, so at least NOW they should know about it more properly. If you haven't clicked the link yet, here's the short version: When a NPC Heron train is in your view distance and you're flying away from it so that it disappears, your Heron will become invisible until you dock and undock from a station again!
It seems to have nothing to do with anything video card related!
