A minor setback hit the Division recently. Thankfully there were no causalities, and this little accident can not stop, only delay us in our researches. Here are the details.
Le Grande Stockage Fromage 17éme Laboratoire on Deck 8 is closed after an explosion occured on 28éme Juin. Apart from Docteur Beaumont and Monsieur LeClerc nobody were injured, and they got only a few light scars. They have already left the infirmary since then. This was the laboratory in which we were experimenting with the weird organ from the Beta-1 sample. The latest entry records indicate that the explosion happened during acidic tests. The starter ones were the weaker, organic acids, which didn't cause any change. Neither would have the hydrogene-chloride caused any, if the change in pH wouldn't been so drastic. The quick drop in pH caused some of the proteins to change their forms, which probably led to other proteins being exposed to the acid, thus reacting with it resulting in the explosion. This is however a vague guess and is based on the latest recovered records. The analysis on the log files is still going on and we may correct our statement about the matter if it deemed to be neccessary. 17éme Laboratoire will not be opened until the end of the next week. Architects and engineers were called from Planet Toulouse to inspect any structural change and restrict more areas of the station if deemed neccessary for safety reasons.
Natural solar panel All of the skin parts have been tested and compared to eachother. This chain of experiments resulted in the conclusion that they have the same structure, but vary in thickness. This can be related to the size of the original K'Hara probably. An other insteresting discovery is that while we found no sign of the cloaking tissue layer, we found the one which might be the feeding one. This specific tissue layer have been discovered during photovoltaic tests, and showed signs of transforming photonic energy into electric. The tissue itself bears resemblance to both the man-made solar panels and to the photosynthetizing plants, however differs from both as well. This might be a middle piece of the chain. This may be not in direct relations to our current project, but may prove to be a tool of advancement on an other field of researches. For now I have no intentions to close works with this tissue layer.
Brains As our researches with the K'Hara skins did not prove efficent yet, we will focus on the neurocardial organs, or more commonly, "Brains". This might not sound as a problem as we have plenty of samples granted by the Cerberus. But then there comes the fact that they are not identical. Not only differing in sizes, they are differing in formations of neural and cardiac cortexes as well, every of them is as unique as possible. The only few common traits among them is that they share the same triangular simmetry along their main axis, and that the neural cortexes are mostly more or bigger than the cardiac ones. This somewhat helped us to categorize them by either having trois or sex normal sized, rarely neuf small pair of cardiac chambers, or by the total size of the neural part compared to the cardiac one. Sorting them out one by one is still going on and will probably be finished during the middle of next week.
As you see, mes amis, little accidents always happen if we wander to unknown fields, let it be the depth of space or knowledge itself. This must not make us afraid to bring light to the darkness and reveal the secrets of the Slomon K'Hara.

There are a bit more troubling news recently, but nothing we in The Council are unable to deal with. Oh, non mes amis, don't worry, not only bad news I have at my disposal.
Moles Mistakes in the administration and samples found missing after the review of some data logs have led us to the conclusion that a small team of infiltrators may have been able to get on board and seize K'Hara material from the station. Investigators from the Assault and Security Division have been on board of Le Grande Stockage Fromage since last week, spotting one or two of them on the corridors is probably because of this. The investigation is still going on and the possibility that one of them is still on the base is yet to be excluded. Keep an eye on who you talk to and always be ready for some questions. This is for safety reasons.
Barrier The CLSV Marignac has finished it's researches regarding the comparison of the Ariege Barrier Nebula and the Tarn Barrier Nebula in Roussillon and the Barrier Rim, found in Coronado. These nebulae of the two systems didn't differ much, and it is now confirmed with more evidences that they are part of the same interstellar structure. The minor differences are coming from the local environment: The Barrier Rim is way more dense than the other two, and the clouds of Roussillon contain a bit less ice and more fluid or gaseous water.
Halt Researches with the thermochemical organ came to a halt, due to it's uncontrollable nature. Tests with similar organs from other samples deemed to be a failure after the same ending. These organs are dangerous, and until we find a way to examine them thoroughly and without burning down our eyebrows, they will stay in their tanks. I really hope, that we can find a solution, because if we solve the secrets of these thermochemical organs, I'm sure there are fields in technology we will find a use of them.
Another flying metal The internal refitting of the Perilous-class gunboat has been finished, and the vessel, christened to CLSV Curie, has been commissioned successfully. The vessel, although the modifications are not finished, is ready to fly the nebulae of unknown and deep space. The CLSV Curie is currently armed with regular gunboat armament for defense, however the power core is yet to be tested. It is expected that not all of the turrets will operate fully. Outer hull reinforcements are yet to be made as well. It may not fly today yet, but it definitely will fly tomorrow.
The second science vessel of the Division, the CLSV Curie
Good and bad news, equally, because la vie cannot be always bright. Despite this, we at the Technology and Advancement Division look brightly into the future, and I advice to you, mes amis, to do the same. Au revoir.

With tonight's WeeklyScience, the next dose of knowledge and news has arrived to you, my dear readers. Let's not waste words more, here you are, mes amis.
Thieves The investigation on board Le Grande Stockage Fromage has lead to a small group of workers joining our Division under false names. Their movement and actions were possible to be traced down as far as to a shipment going to Planet Toulouse, but then the investigation team lost track of them on the surface. Data describing our thieves will be sent across the station. However the investigation will most probably continue on Toulouse, there is still a chance for an attempt of return on their side, so if anybody meets personnel matching our moles by the data in our central database, do not hesitate to notify the security.
Moving laboratories The final tests on the CLSV Curie has shown that the forward gun is inoperable, which isn't much of a problem, we wouldn't have used it any ways. Instead, a mining gun will be mounted on that slot. The hull reinforcing is yet to be made, and is delayed due to lack of proper resources. The Division Lead plans to assign both of our science vessels on a joint task. To where they will fly is yet to be decided as well, but there is time to do so as there is still much work on the CLSV Curie. The CLSV Marignac may conduct minor local researches in the meantime.
Tissue issues While we do not lack samples, on the contrary, we have more of those K'Hara skins, we are still slowing down on their research. Phisical and chemical analysis helped us to map the different layers properly, and with the help of a complete skin part, we were able to map it in it's entire width. Unfortunately we found nothing odd or illogical, the outer carapace is dense and hard, going towards the inner part the tissues soften, midway lies the part of the circulatory system being responsible for feeding the skin. Several semi-transparent layers, which let the light through themselves. If we won't find answers here, we may ask the brains then.
Complexity Categorizing all of the brains have finished recently, in fact, this afternoon. Most of the brains could be sorted into the predefined categories, however about 10-15% of the samples (roughly 30) deviated from those as much as it deemed to be neccessary to sort them separate from the others. Currently they are vegetating, but starting from tomorrow, during a series of experiments we will test their activity and reaction to several kinds of inputs. Physical, chemical and biological tests and mapping will be done as well in order to aknowledge everything about them.
So long we are about to reveal the secrets of the Slomon K'Hara, yet this species, even in this inactive state of the samples, is still not wanting to let us to do so. However, as long as we are in control, this is only a matter of time. Au revoir for now, mes amis.

Severe changes are going on around both the Technology and Advancement Division and our main research base in Roussillon, Le Grande Stockage Fromage. The WeeklyScience is of course ready to inform you about all of the changes.
Le Grande Stockage Fromage Our latest security breach proved that a restructuring of the base and all of it's systems is neccessary. Hereby the Division lead has decided to start it as soon as possible. Plans indicate no change in the outer looks, but the inner structure of the station will definitely change. During the rebuild, the main modules housing the Division, along with the main cryocube storages will be removed and brought to the surface of Toulouse. This change probably won't take too long, but in the meantime, all projects depending on the station, or being closely related to it will halt until the base is redone.
Non-Moving laboratories Due to the massive rehaul of Le Grande Stockage Fromage, researches based off from our science vessels will be delayed as well. While the purpose of the CLSV Marignac and the CLSV Curie is to serve as a mobile base of operations far from our home space, their assignment has to be carefully planned and prepared prior to their start. However because of the occurrance of the theft, the Division Lead decided to declare the restructuring as top priority issue, thus delaying the research assignments of the two science vessels. As many other things, these projects will continue once the base is up and running as it did before.
Valuable cargo Transporting the K'Hara samples to the surface is of great importance as well as the carefullness and security of the task itself. A special delegacy of the Assault and Security Division will be in charge of maintaining the safety of the convoy in this short route. The convoy itself will consist of several reinforced Tarvos-class freighters, and a Vache. Keeping the samples intact and well fed is important for continuing our researches, and tanks in our storages on the surface have been installed to be able to maintain the K'Hara tissues well. Just like all neccessary equipment and machine, the samples will get back to the new station, once it's renewal is done.
Work around the station is quite much and dense lately, and our timetables are full. Despite this, if anything important happens, I will always have an hour or two on every Dimanche to submit the next transmission with all the news. Au revoir, mes amis.

Rumors spread amongst the people of The Council in the past few days, many wondering what happened with le Docteur, ou with our modular station dans Roussillon. You may as well wonder why I'm writing here. All questions will be answered.
Last weekend there has been an accident on Béziers Space Port, previously known as Le Grande Stockage Fromage. There has been an explosion near to the life support systems on top of the station during the renewal works, causing several small parts of it shrapnelling into the shields of CLN Pamiers, while the rest drifting towards the opposite direction. We don't know, only suspect that the cooling system had been malfunctioning. Investigation is still going on.
Luckily there were no causalities, et only a few injuries, but amongst them there is Docteur Lavoisier too. His office was near the life support system, et he felt the explosion well: he was in critical state as of yesterday, but been stabilized later on. He is currently in l'Hôpital des Toulousiennes on Planet Toulouse, and will stay there for a while, depending on his health status. We all wish him to get well.
Docteur Lavoisier est un good ami of mine, et allowed me to speak on his behalf. Until he gets better all projects ran by or closely related to him will be suspended. This includes this feed too. However I myself hope that he will get back soon. I guess we all do.
C'est tout for now, mesieurs et mesdames. LaFlamme out.
