History:
Long-Term History
Specific origins of the Unione Corse are hard to trace. However, it was, and still is, formed by those who have connections. Initially, the Corse were an organization which financed and supplied various other organizations. However, they became less lawful when the Gallic government began increasing its regulations. This resulted in increased tensions, as the Unione Corse began to rely on smuggling.
During the First Gallic War, the Corse were severely weakened due to a combination of unstable leadership and the arrests of many membres. Internal strife was caused by many splits in the Unione Corse. The most notable branch was a group of former Gallic Royal Police who joined the Corse, known as La Famille de la Brise de Mer.
Between the wars, other groups arose in Gallia, such as the Gallic Brigands. Relations were going well with all, until some Gallic Junkers sold out the Unione Corse to the Gallic Royal Police. As revenge, the LaBrise attacked the Junker's Bourbon Base, and murdered everyone on board. There was no further retaliation, which came as a surprise.
The Corse have been more careful during Second Gallic War, leaving little evidence that they favor the Council over the Crown. Covert support of their allies has proven to be most useful, granting the Unione Corse the ability to extend their influence to Sirius.
Unione Corse Divide
The rift between the LaBrise and the other Corse groups was growing. The LaBrise worked with the Gallic Royal Police, whereas other Unione Corse were hunted down by the GRP. Eventually, the Corse turned on each other.
In late 817, the LaBrise attempted to take over the main group of the Unione Corse. LaBrise, led by Aurelie LaBrise (aka, La Veuve Noire), demanded that the Corse disband and become part of LaBrise. The main Unione Corse group, lead by Joel Orsrini, refused to submit to La Veuve Noire. The fighting gradually built up, but for a while neither group came out on top. After half a year of fighting, LaBrise gained control of the majority of the Corse bases, but Orsini's forces still refused to submit. Oddly enough, Joel Orsini himself had disappeared.
Months into his absence, the Unione Corse found a new man to lead them against the LaBrise, Casimir Logarus. He previously held a low rank, and wasn't the best fighter pilot. But he was a tactician. His plan was to sneak through the Taus and Outcast territory with most of their forces to stage a rear assault against Thionville. The rest of their forces were left in Argenton, as it was expected that most LaBrise were preparing to attack there from Epernon. The undefended Thionville was taken with little difficulty, and the surprise defeat knocked the LaBrise off guard.
The Unione Corse forces split up for attacks on the bases in Champagne and Burgundy. While Bourbon was sieged by Logarus, the Joinville assault was led under the command of Zechs Marquise. The Marquise were a small Corse family looking to prove themselves, and this was their chance. Joinville was a quick battle, but not a decisive one. The LaBrise knew they were coming, and surrounded their forces in an ambush. It was a Pyrrhic victory for the Unione Corse, winning through sheer numbers. Afterwards, Marquise thought it best to consolidate his forces and not move on.
The Siege of Boubron lasted a day and a half. After that, the LaBrise rushed all of their fighters at Logarus' forces in an attempt of desperation. Not long into the battle, Logarus' gunship was heavily damaged and it crashed into Bourbon Base. Logarus was recovered by the LaBrise, and held captive aboard Bourbon. Since the Corse were winning outside, the LaBrise offered Casimir a deal. In return for their surrender, he was to let all of the Freres, Soeurs, and Etrangers (lowest ranks) go free. La Veuve Noire was already dead -- a mysterious death that took place about the time that Osrini disappeared...
The fighting ended there, in early 819. Logarus remained leader of the Unione Corse, and Zechs Marquise was instated as the new Parrain. Logarus restructured the chain of command, and had Marquise create a Famille Senat to help unify the Corse families. This gave the Parrain less power in the military, but kept them at the head of domestic affairs.
As for the rest of the LaBrise? With their leader dead and their lowest ranks given amnesty, that left the Paternels and Maternels. Some were banished to Sirius, others locked away at Glieze Depot, and a few were given as tokens to appease the Gallic Royal Police.
Joel Orsini was never seen again, but he left the Unione Corse his adopted son, Jason Orsini, who remains a member today.
Recent History
More recently, the Unione Corse decided to branch out of Gallic Space. This was done to further their influence and as a precaution against the possibility of the Gallic Military treating them as hostile. The Corse first came to an intelligence agreement with the Order Task Force 141, due to increasing concerns about Nomad influence in Gallia. A few weeks after that, the Unione Corse began diplomatic relations with the Colonial Republic, and formed a secret alliance. The Corse have also worked together with IMG on numerous occasions. In addition, it is rumored that the Corse are working out trade deals with various other Sirian groups.
----------
Our unlawful side? Shh... :
Smuggling
When it comes to smuggling, the Corse mainly traffic nox, synthetic marijuana, hypotainment bands, cryocubes, artifacts, and refugees. Cardamine is considered a competitor to nox, and combined with political reasoning, is contraband among the Corse. Cryocubes have recently become an important export to Sirius, and the Unione Corse has made an enormous profit from selling these.
Pirating
The Corse do not pirate often, and are very careful about it. Kusari Corporations, Gallic Corporations, Gallic Junkers, and freelancers are rarely pirated, and only in the Taus or Gallic Borderworlds.
----------
The lawful side:
Mercenary Work
Many groups, such as the Gallic Royal Navy, IMG, and Colonial Republic, eagerly pay l'Unione Corse to help them shoot at the Outcasts. At times, Corse have also offered our services as escorts to groups such as IMG and Interspace Commerce.
Upholding the Law
The Unione Corse ID allows the Corse to uphold the law within house space (which house space is conveniently not mentioned). L'Unione Corse use this to their benefit, especially against groups such as the Gallic Junkers.
Location
To maintain a more lawful image in Bretonia, Unione Corse do not pirate there. In Rheinland, Liberty, the Sigmas, and the Omegas, there's also no pirating, but mainly because Corse presence in those areas is slim to none, and there wouldn't be much profit in it.
Point of View
Most of what the Corse smuggles is cryocubes, which is only considered illegal by the Gallic Crown. Have they been caught? Not yet. Also, Sirians will pay through the nose to supply them with cryocubes, and it's perfectly legal to do so.
On another note, Hypnotainment Bands are just like Holotainment Bands, but with the "safety devices" (subliminal Gallic propaganda devices) removed. And of course, Solar Engineering has "proof" that they are addictive, but that same evidence can be used against Holotainment Bands as well. Do you want to believe Solar Engineering?

Comparison
Sirian Junkers and the Hogosha
In Sirius, the Hogosha are slightly more lawful than the Sirian Junkers. The Hogosha also support the government (albeit the old one) against them, and these two groups are hostile towards each other.
Gallic Junkers and l'Unione Corse
In Gallia, the Corse are less lawful than the Gallic Junkers. The Gallic Junkers support the Gallic Royal Navy, and some of them even consider themselves another branch of the Gallic Military. These two groups are not hostile to each other, but unfriendly.

Parrain (Godfather) - In charge of the Famille Senat. The Parrain must report to it on a regular basis, and account for his actions to them. (Max: 1)
Tribun (Tribune) - On a board of senateurs that are elected by and oversee the Famille Senat. This panel also assists the Parrain in his work. (Max: 5, dependent on faction size)
Senateur (Senator) - A head family member. (No limit)
Other information on ranks.
Neither the general nor a commandant can represent their families in the Famille Senat. They must choose another family member. L'Famille Senat votes to decide on the affairs of the Unione Corse. A family's power in the senate is dependent on its size, wealth, and history. For every four family members, that family gets a seat, and those with great wealth and history get to vote first, as a sign of respect. The panel of tribuns can vote to remove anyone of any position, but a four-fifths majority is required.

If you need help with Corse stuff, please do contact me. I've had a lot of experience with them. I believe my Skype is on my profile, and if not, PM me. <strike>French also is my First language, so I can help you more easily as well if you can't speak English.</strike>
Ooooh. I thought you meant French was your first language.
Ooooh.
I was also glancing at your law section, and a few sections were upsetting me.
Quote:Contraband
Cannot carry human organs.
Cannot carry nox.
Cannot carry hypnotainment bands.
The above can be transported with approval, and only if in small quantities to a base of ours.
The above can be transported if accidentally picked up after a battle.
The above can must be destroyed when forcing another to drop their cargo.
While Corse do not deal in Human Organs (That's Brigand stuff), they -do- try to spread the two other goods /as much as they can/, especially into Sirius as Sirians are not yet aware of how "dangerous" those two goods are. Otherwise, this is a pretty big nerf to the Corse RP as a whole.
Quote:Restricted Space
Anyone caught within Corse or Champagne who is not Unione Corse, Gallic Brigand, Maquis, Council, Zoner, or Freelancer is to be escorted out immediately. Gallic military will be shot on sight.
I can understand shooting a GRN within the Corse system, but outside of these parameters, a Corse never shoots Royals unless extreme necessity is met. A few skirmishes are mentioned, but Corses are pro-Royalists in general.
Neutral: Gallic Junkers, Zoners, Freelancers, Order, Colonial Remnant, Bretonia Military, Bretonia Corporations, Rheinland Military, Rheinland Corporations, Corsairs, Blood Dragons, Red Hessians, IMG, OSI, GMG, and any others.
Unfriendly: Gallic Military, Gallic Corporations, Liberty Corporations, Kusari Military, Kusari Corporations, Black Sails, and the Bounty Hunters Guild.
Hostile: Liberty Military, Outcasts, Junkers and the Nomads.
I don't think that Blood Dragons will be neutral for you, if you have ally with Hogosha.
I don't see more information.
Don't write replist, if you don't know interests of other faction. With Gallic, I agree. But other... BAF, [RM]. If you want add them to replist, ask them about repuitation.

maks.yustin, for every faction listed on this page, I went to their faction information page and set mine to theirs. With a few exceptions, of course.
As for the Hogosha, I have been in contact with Tentacle Therapist, and that was a suggestion of his.
Since the Blood Dragons have no set stance with us, I placed them as neutral.
With many who did not have a set reputation, I left out or set as neutral.
Since the Corse has no gunboat, there will be several options.
I presume that we will use either Council or Gallic Brigand gunboats. I do not know how the power output is for Corse in those ships. But since we are allies with the Brigands (both RP and for NPCs), their ships may work out fine.
According to Tentacle Therapist, the UC has 75% efficiency with Hogosha and Farmers Alliance ships. Also, to my knowledge, civilian ships can be used by all. The Discovery Wiki page claims to be out of date, and does not list gunboats for any of those.

The Hogosha and the FA don`t have any Gunboat. As for the civilian ship line. Most of the Gallic factions are not able to use Sirius civilian tech (in on of the next updates, dunno how it is right now) without a horrible 90% nerf. Exceptions are the Union Corse (25% nerf) and the Gallic Brigands/Gallic Junkers (10% nerf on ships) according to this one: Tech Chart Draft
So you can use the Ahoudori Gunboat which is considered Sirius civilian with a 25% nerf. But you should notice that this is only a Draft. Not the final version so far.
