Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee United Resistance Army
Stepping off your ship into the hangar bay of Kreuzberg, you take in the surrounding bustle of activity that is commonplace on any base of the Junkers. The noise and crowds leave you somewhat disoriented, adding to the confusion of the arrangements here. Whatever your reasons for being here are, one thing is certain: you will no longer stand by while the current government is in power.
Making your way to the bar, you take a seat at the edge of the room. The wall beside you is covered by a collection of posters – many are mundane advertisements while others depict aging propaganda of the various groups who can be found on the base. As instructed by the activist who sent you here, you find a much newer piece of paper that is partially obscured by the other posters. Unfolding it, you are faced with a recruitment form for the Bundschuh, and – after checking no-one is at the nearby tables – begin to fill it out...
It has been over a month now since i first have heard about the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee. After meeting one of your agents in the orbit of New Berlin, hearing a speech about the...worrying political situation in Rheinland which exactly summed up my personal thoughts about the nation where i was born...i was thinking about supporting the VWA. Maybe some of your will remember my regular monetary support over the weeks; but an unforseeable incident made me cutting the contact to your institution for the last 2 weeks.
Now sitting on the safe side again; problems were sorted out; i finally decided not only to support the VWA indirectly; i want to change something actively. Therefore, i am contacting you in this message now that i would be more than willing to join the conflict between you and the Kanzler on the only correct side: Yours.
Ready to fight for a better Rheinland, i am asking for the allowence to join you.
I could afford the ship and equicment by myself so i would not have to use the ressources of the VWA.
I am looking forward to a fast and, hopefully, positive reaction.
With all regards,
Hans von Goeben.
PS: Here the full recruitment letter; summing up my reasons for joining.

Ah, it's good tae hear fae ye again von Goeben. The money ye've been sending's gone tae good use, donations are what we live by. What the Bundschuh have always needed though, is people; men of intelligence and integrity like yerself, even better.
I think there's space enough for yer liner on Eltmann, and if ye need a hand gettin' tae Bruchsal I can handle that. We'll get ye a pint at the Embassy and ye can get to know the gang a little better.
Born on Planet Stuttgart as the twin sister of Lukas Schoenbrunn, Marion realized fast, that she's not always the same opinion as her brother as soon he starts to talk about the government and the military. Her brother decided relatively fast that he wants to join a military party to fight for his home and his people. Marion had no plans for her life after the graduation of her public school, so she lived one year together with her brother in a small apartment. She worked as a waitress in a small bar on Planet Stuttgart.
One day her brother visited the bar at about midnight. They both had a small dispute about the military, as a man started his speech. He talked about a new fleet which operates in western Rheinland to save the people of Rheinland and their ideologies.
Both, Marion and Lukas listened to him and Lukas was immediatly keen as the WRF-Pilot offered them a job at the WRF. Lukas signed his agreement, as Marion hesitaded. She didn't know if she could leave all her believes and opinions behind and work for the government. But she didn't wanted to give her brother a chance to think she'd be too weak to do hard work, so she signed her agreement too.
They were both recruited and trained in Omega-7, as the alarm rang. Both were given a Wraith and they were ordered to a battle. More and more enemy ships appeared at their scanners, as both were shot.
Lukas' and Marions' escape pods where tractored in by Bundschuh ships and brought to a hidden base, the Bundschuh pilots themselves called 'Bruchsal Base'.
Marion realized pretty fast that the Bundschuh and herself had the same interests, believes and hopes for the future of Rheinland and it's people. She decided to stay with them, whether her brother thinks the same way or not.
He left him two opinions:
Stay with his beloved sister and give up his own believes, or to leave her and go back to the WRF.
Lukas got himself a Wraith of the hangar and flew back to Planet New Berlin, where he signed for the RFP.
Marion stayed at Bruchsal, got a Wraith because of her experience she gathered in the WRF and tried to collect money, so she could be a financial aid for the movement.
One day she found a corsair freighter near the Yanagi Depot in the Sigma-13 system. She wanted him to leave, he refused and in that moment the VWA came to help her.
She immediatly sympathized with them. She had a few conversations with them in S.K.Y.P.E-network so she asked them to join and help the movement to spread the message.
What brings you to our cause?:
Marion Schoenbrunn already saw the sad but true side of Rheinland:
The cruelity of the military, shooting everything that doesn't sound good enough for the system and it's ideologies.
She wants to stop the government, it's corrupt and inhuman ideologies. 'economy - ok, but for what price?', could be her motto
Fraulein Schoenbrunn, the Kommandanten have reviewed both your application and dossier, and we formally welcome you into the ranks of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee. In the near future we will acquaint you with other members, locations of operation, and areas of safe harbor.
Place and year of birth:Planet Stuttgart, 795 AS (26 years old)
Personal Background:
My background is really long....I don't know where I should start...I'll begin with my birth place. I was born on Planet Stuttgart, far outside of the city and the stress. Our life was hard, and Synth Foods our greatest enemy. I spent a lot of my time on the fields, trying to get some money for our family.
As you can see, I had already with Liberty. That was my reason for joining the secondary military fleet with 19. The training was hard, and my first patrol was even harder.
Three years...lost three years of my life. I left this nonesense after seeing friends dieing for pointless cause, for an empty planet exactly.
I thought, it would be better with the Polizei. But that was wrong as well..killed innocent civilians because one of the officiers said it was a smuggler ship.
I said, to myself never will do this again. The fate prove me wrong. One of my old friends from the Military Training said, "everything is better in the Primary Fleet!".
Not really a reason to join the fray again...but I was blind and fooled. After a weeks, one of the patrols spotted a freighter. Rhino in Bering by a destroyed base. I guess, they tried to evacuate all persons on this station. My squadron leader ordered to take out the Freighter, but I refused the order. Because, I did the same mistake a few months before this..
Both pilots started shooting at me, because I said no...I killed both and flew away as war I was able to.
Later, I stranded on Hamburg, with a bit hope. I found the hope, my Mjolnir. My first Military Ship. They didn't guard it, really. Only two men, and handful cameras.
Knocked out both of them with an old stun gun. I had much luck in this case, because they didn't realize really, what was happen. Until, it was too late.
I passed successful, the patrols and gate control.
I went to the Omega-7 System, Freistadt System. To my luck, to the wrong time. The tense between DHC and IMG arrived a critical point, and I was aboard of Freistadt. The timing was perfect, when I tried to prepare my ship for leaving this hot spot. The DHC attacked Freistadt out of the nowhere, without a warning.
Because of this, I gave up with Rheinland and my life...
Wrong way, if I tell you what I did.
I joined the Mandelorian Mercaneries, a bunch of Ex-Militaries, Pirates and other scum which I didn't want to work with..
Ja, it was a huge mistake, but I realized it a bit too late. After one and a half year, I left this black spot in my life.
Explored a bit the other parts of Sirius after this, and found other poor knights with the same problem. Even found an old good friend from my school time. He told me a lot of things, about Bundschuh and other revolutions.
I was a bit surprised, about Bundschuh. "Still alive?" "Ja."
I'm sure now, that should be my way of life and to reverse any of my mistakes in my life.
What brings you to our cause?
As I said it, I want to reverse any of my mistakes and bring the revolution into the yard of the Kanzler building.
Herr Mertins, tales such as yours are regrettably far more commonplace in Rheinland than they should be. The frequency does not invalidate the significance of your own personal one, as a human being.
Standing together, we'll forge a brighter and more humanistic future for Rheinland. You made the right decision.
Welcome to the cause, Aktivist.

Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee Recruitment Form Name: Alexander Fuchs Place and year of Birth: Planet Holstein, 802 A.S. (17 years old) Personal Background
After finishing high school not long ago, I decided to join the Rheinland Military training program. I was given a Wraith class fighter with training weaponry, and I was put to work, being trained by the finest instructors in Rheinland.
I was never really that great, and the instructors got tired with me messing up the more advanced maneuvers like hitting a sliding Liberator. I didn't really expect to be fighting Liberators in the middle of Rheinland.
I had gotten to my exam, and I was assigned with my class to intercept an artifact smuggling convoy. My Wraith was re-fitted with standard weapons. When we got to the convoy, I decided to run a quick scan to see how much they were trying to get past us. There were no artifacts, and it was just a Freelance supply ship taking supplies to Heisenberg Research Station.
Despite the ship being completely clean, I was ordered to open fire and destroy the ship. I disobeyed the orders and fled into the Taunusfeld. I was seen by a Bundschuh patrol and now, here I am. What brings you to our cause?
I wish to help eradicate the corrupt command structure of the Rheinland Military Skype protocol communication code: crazy.ichiru
The Widerstand would gratefully welcome your aid; I presume that this Bundschuh patrol granted you access to Bruchsal Base and it is from another deck that this transmission came from.
I have a few questions to ask before I affirmatively welcome you to the Widerstand's cause.
I note that you are presently only seventeen years old; The Rheinswehr seems to be starting piloten out younger and younger each year, it seems. I wish to inform you that aiding us will expose you to a great amount of danger from the Rheinswehr and Polizei. The standard protocol appears to imply that openly proclaiming Bundschuh membership is a capital crime within Rheinland.
If you are willing to deal with these risks, then we will remove the deactivated tracking transponders in your Wraith snubcraft and formally welcome you into the cause, Aktivist Fuchs.

It's true that I'm only 17 years old. The Rheinwehr has on occasion recruited students who would not yet be eligible to fly, as the war with Liberty requires a lot of pilots to be replaced. I would consider myself to already be in danger by flying a stolen Wraith vessel, and perhaps being more in danger than being with the Bundschuh as I have no support at the moment.
I would not have sought refuge in the Taunusfeld if I did not already understand the risks, and sitting in what seems to be a holding room is not to my liking. The Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee is it, I don't see the Rheinwehr to be a worthy cause anymore.
