BBC WAR NEWS

Hello, and welcome back to the BBC "War Report" hour, here with me; Allus Write:

Breaking News:, Gallia Launches one of the strongest attacks on Leeds since the Fall of Edinburgh.

A main strike force of 2 Valor class Battleships, and two Heavy Cruisers, backed by snub support, blockaded planet Leeds earlier today. Police on the scene; a BPA Chief Inspector Hone Nathan, actually attempted to arrest them by himself! Unfortunately bravery was not the armour its reputed to be, and that lawman was the first to go down on this bloody day. C.Ins Nathan is recovering in BPA Durham station medical wing, but he was able to give us a brief interview and this information:

"It was terrible we were horribly outnumbered, and getting no support from the BAF, because when they stuck their noses out of their holes they got massacred!

I had fired all my Torpedoes, and was completely out of hellfire ammo, when I got the ping; two cruiser missiles were locked onto me at point blank range. 1's bad enough, trying to dodge two is laughable! Only the auto eject, and the quick reactions of a BAF reservist saved my life today."

By this time the alert was out, and BBC News was there to film the reply:

Wow, wasnt that a nailbiter?! Notice 40 seconds in we see the first arrival of the Libertonian forces there to rescue the BAF from overwhelming odds. Then at 1 minute 10 seconds we see the Libertonian flagship close with the Gallic Battleship and commence heavy pounding into the undefended and helpless rear, while Bretonian destroyers duel Gallic cruisers alone!

The alliance once again bears fruit, as at 1 minute 40 seconds, one after another, the Gallic fleet begins to fall leaving only one late arriving Gallic battleship out of the 3, to turn tail and make its escape!

And we catch up with that Battleship Captain for an exclusive interview!

There you have it folks, thanks to the Gaul Gals our boys were spared a terrible opponent, just as at Waterloo, only sexier!

Fighting continued after the main Gallic fleet was destroyed, with sproadic snub fighting, and continuing clean up operations lasting for hours.

But the real excitement after that battle was the sudden appearance of a NOMAD battleship, apparently helping the Bretonians against the Gallians! When we tried to interview the nomad to get their side of the story, it became uncomfortable and left the area, asking for;

"STOP QUESTIONS"

Their motives and actions remain a mystery, but one things for sure, the BAF isnt making public whatever understanding they have with these enigmatic aliens.

When we tried to interview the home heroes, the Baf Cdr - surprisingly one of the disreputable PRIVATEERS - gave us a stolid traditional message of Bretonian fortitude in the face of ferocious enemies, while the Destroyer captain of the HMS-Conair called "no comment" on the number of destroyed Bretonian cap ships. The mercenaries SMP refused to speak with us to discuss their employers or contracts.

So once again we have certainly learnt the power of the Bretonian/Libertonian alliance holds mighty. But the Gallic danger is huge, and it is not good news that since the Omega Conflict, it has always been the Bretonians rescued by the Libertonians, a sad testimony to being the weaker partner, in a galaxy that wont tolerate weakness...

Thank you ladies and Gentlemen, good evening, and as always:
