Report filled by: James McNulty
Date: April 17th.
Patrol report is as follows:

First day on the job, could've gone better. Started a patrol route from Manhattan to California, then to Texas. Ran into Outcast - Sunshine at the New York to Texas gate. Sunshine was already in violation of Liberty space with his very presence, but decided to claim the lives of Navy pilots and traders (//NPCs). Called for backup but no LN, LSF, or LPI officers were in the system. Attempted to engage but nearly lost half my ship in one volley from the suspect's gunboat, had to bug out. Regretfully the suspect got away.

Patrol report is as follows:

Began my patrol in the Texas system, ship V|K|NG was discovered taking Diamonds from Rheinland to Liberty. Stopped the ship and instructed him to jettison his cargo or turn back, he chose the latter. Later on during a jump from Fort Bush to Manhattan I came across a Rogue bomber piloted by *references on-board computer* Rex.Mullins at coordinates D3. Suspect was asked to leave Liberty space immediately, he did not. He instead chose to fire on a passing trader, at which point I engaged and called for assistance. Two ships responded to my broadcast, Bulanesti, and Gafwmn-SAR. The three of us chased the rogue from the Fort Bush lane D3, all the way to the Badlands at E6. In the Badlands, Gafwmn-SAR placed the killing blow via mine and I returned to Manhattan to file today's patrol.

The Oracles are no longer welcome in Liberty. You spot one, tell it to leave. If it doesn't, its weapons free time.

Deputy Chief O'Brian, LPI

End of Message.
The Chief enters the office, pulls out a notecard, and reads:

"Oh Chiefy, ye Chiefy. Your love of donuts is...leafy. The weight on your plate, its beefy. Oh Chiefy."

A round of golf claps is heard as the Chief punctuates by saying, "Frank Lamar and James McNulty are promoted to Officer."
Report filed by: Sergeant Aiden Maggard
Date: 4-18-817

Well it was a fairly quiet day. I began my patrol from Ft Bush. Capt. Bauer received a tip about a possible smuggler. The smuggler was intercepted and arrested by Officer Masket. At the same time Officer McNulty encountered a Xeno by the name of -Spear- near Manhattan. Bauer and McNulty engaged the Xeno. Not wanting to crowd up the fight I hung back. While observing the fight an Outcast by the name of Basilisk showed up. I ordered him to leave but he opened fire on several rookie patrols. I then engaged and apprehended the criminal. Unfortunately Capt. Bauer's ship was disabled so I joined in fighting the Xeno. The fight ended when an ion storm passed through the system.

Patrol report:

I ran a single patrol today, Manhattan to fort bush, to Nolfork, then to the Texas Jump Gate. From there back to Nolfork, where I intercepted a Rheinland Fighter. I scanned him, he had a freelancer ID and a lot more firepower than me, so I let him continue, but told him Rheinland is at war with Liberty. He left Liberty space shorty after. From there I went to Fort bush, trough manhattan and as a final waypoint planet Eire.

End of Report.

(// Sorry I let the Rheinlander get away, but I was unsure of what laws say about rheinland freelancers,
I suspect the bounty would have applied to him?)

Field Report of Sergeant Jerry Shaw

This morning started out quietly- I joined with officers Maggard, Bauer, McNulty and McTavish and just when I thought that things might actually stay that way for once, an unidentified gunboat engaged officer McNulty without apparent reason. Backup arrived as quickly as possible and the gunboat was put out of comission. The pilot was arrested and transferred to Huntsville.

Guncam View

Shortly after MCNulty called for reinforcements - he was engaged in a fight with a Xeno in Colorado. Upon our arrival, the xeno fled the scene. Strangely he was cooperating with an Outcast gunboat - why...beats me.

His accomplice by the name of ProjectX was found moments later in NY - he fled also. But returned later to aid another OC gunboat who we were in the process of arresting. This was his last mistake - Both gunships were destroyed and justice was served.

Ginship 1 going down

Gunship 2 going down

Later on a Lane Hacker was spotted in NY - he was taken out after recieving a direct SN hit from a navy bomber - the ship and the pilot were obliterated in the blast.

Guncam Overview

Lastly me and officer Amy McTavish found the known Rogue Rex Mullins lurking in the lane from Mh to Wp - we offered him a deal to leave and he wont be harmed. After a couple of minutes of discussion, he agreed and was escorted to the nearest gate.

That event was the last for my morning shift. We had our losses but all the bad guys were dealt with and peace was once again restored in NY...at least for a couple of hours.

Subj: Texas blockade

We have out marching orders on the Texas blockade. Message is here.

The Updated liberty laws states :

QUOTE
Liberty Texan total blockade

As our nation is currently at war with Rheinland, all trading traffic toward Rheinland or coming from it is now to be halted and turned back. Pilots attempting to break the blockade will be terminated on sight.

Options and Penalty - Part 5, Section C, Paragraph 5
QUOTE
The violator has the following choices:
-Drop the illegal goods to travel further
-Turn back in order to keep the goods.
Failure to comply will result in death.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:

If a Liberty / Bretonian / Kusari trader wishes to turn back towards liberty space, by all means let them go unmolested. Inform them the Embargo is for the duration of the war.

If a Rhineland trader wishes to turn back, give them a warning that we will be vigilant and should not see him/her/it again. Allow Him/her/whatever to return to Rhineland space.

Zoners and Freeport II: No guidance has been given as to cargo consigned to or from this freeport. A message will be addressed to Liberty High Command for guidance.

If a trader drops his load to continue on, OR is destroyed for non compliance, tractor in the cargo and drop it off at Houston. This is done to get the materials back into the Liberty supply system. Any monetary amount rcvd from grateful merchants needs to be transferred to the LPI-Rikers.

The Liberty Police Inc. does not reimburse traders for lost cargo. Period. If they have a problem with you, direct them to send a message in the LPI Diplomatic channel.

If possible, take the LPI-Devils Island with you. It is to be stationed on Houston for the duration of this operation. Please remember to have it's fuel tank filled and dump the ash tray. I will be docking pay for sugary fingerprints on the windshield too.

Edit: I know, some of you are going to say that we should allow supplies to come into Liberty and use them for our war effort. Until the High command changes it's mind, we are stuck with these orders.

Subject: Temporary Order-Embargo duty

Until further notice, embargo duty is a low priority. Until we can get a handle on the piracy problem in the rest of Liberty, the Navy is going to have to do embargo duty on their own.

It will do no good to blockade Texas when Lane Hackers are in Manhattan orbit, Liberty Rogues have cut the lanes in California, Miners in Pennsylvania are getting robbed at gunpoint, and Agiera is under constant attack in Colorado.

To Reiterate: Elimination of piracy and crime first, embargo is second.

I will be seeking direction from the Chief on this Matter.

Subject : Ship use
Just to clear up some confusion, IF you are part of the SWAT team, you can have a SWAT fighter (Eagle), SWAT bomber (Your Choice), and your every day patrol ship, the Liberator.

The Liberator is to be the normal everyday patrol craft. If you know trouble is coming, shift ships.

Subject; Emabrgo concerns, Again.

Ok, the LPI command has been hearing some feedback from traders , and it seems that a few of them are getting fined even though they have turned around , or dumped their cargo. This is not protocol.

To re-iterarate, if a trader turns around, or dumps his cargo in compliance with protocol, he is free to go. Period.

Now, if he trader does not comply and trys to run, please refer to the LPI laws, which is quoted here:

* Violation of the Texan Blockade; Defined as attempting to pass through the blockade to deliver illegal goods from or to Rheinland. The violator has the following choices:
-Drop the illegal goods to travel further
-Turn back in order to keep the goods.
Failure to comply will result in death.

Officers need to make sure that they spend some more time in other systems besides Texas. California desperately needs attention, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Ontario, and Alberta should also be on your list.
