You have my apologies, I will mark sarcasm with an outline next time. That should get the message across better.
I actually feel like the post might have been better received if it took a dump on unlawfuls for once. It's clear there's a lot of strong feelings about this stuff one way or another, but what resonates most strongly with me is the kind of quasi-IC vitriol that gets directed at lawfuls. You can see it clearly in this message dump here.

[15.06.2023 15:57:39] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: The fascist.
[15.06.2023 15:57:49] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Sorry, /Navy/.

[15.06.2023 15:58:23] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Habit.
[15.06.2023 15:59:05] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: I'd love to fry me some fascist.

[15.06.2023 16:01:26] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Christ how many repair materials does that baby killer have?

[15.06.2023 16:02:05] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Yo, SLRC, you're pretty far from home, ain't you from the Taus or something?
[15.06.2023 16:02:20] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Good ta see you out regardless.
[15.06.2023 16:02:37] SLRC-XV>Cryptomnesia: Home's right over there, actually...
[15.06.2023 16:02:42] SLRC-XV>Cryptomnesia: Just getting a sense of what's happened here.
[15.06.2023 16:02:51] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Mmm. It's a right *****.
[15.06.2023 16:03:13] [MFE]Pasteur: And it would depend on who you ask to tell you.
[15.06.2023 16:03:21] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: House governments taking what doesn't belong to them then being offended that we take offense to it.
[15.06.2023 16:03:26] SLRC-XV>Cryptomnesia: Figured that out pretty fast.
[15.06.2023 16:03:52] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Damn fascists the lot of em. Bretonia Jr.
[15.06.2023 16:04:35] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Well, guess I'll help them take out the trash, powerin' weapons. Time to kill this fascist.

[15.06.2023 16:05:43] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Shut up and die quietly.

[15.06.2023 16:07:43] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: WIth you running like a *****, maybe not.
[15.06.2023 16:07:59] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Run away little baby killer.
[15.06.2023 16:08:11] Dagger.of.Erie: ?: Go to hell.

I don't know who this clown is, but whoever they are, I think they should either take themselves back to Twitter or cool their head a little, step back, and come back with the mentality that it's all just a game. I don't see how this is fun for anyone involved, and I don't really consider myself particularly thin-skinned either. It's just not pleasant.

I was involved in leading GRN| in one form or another for about 5 years, on and off, and I can't remember experiencing even a fraction of this kind of ""in-character"" treatment from other characters at the time. Not from BAF, not from LN, not even from CR| -- the faction that we probably had the most bad blood with. To me, it's very indicative of real-world political attitudes (to be even more blunt about it, largely American politics) slipping into the roleplay environment in a way that is very jarring and very alienating to be on the receiving end of. I cannot for one second blame lawful players for getting sick of taking another big fat L when this is the kind of context they're trying to operate in.

Amen to this.

I think the leakage of american politics into Discovery is an issue that's worthy of its own discussion, rather than getting drowned out in a shouting match about sirius-wide intel leaks. But then it'd probably end up in a shouting match anyway, so might as well knock everything out in the one big shouting championship we've got going here.

True, but I don't feel like typing up a real storm about it. I have bigger issues with Discovery right now than any of this, so I can't really be bothered -- but I do think that the issue in the OP here and the general ACAB angle bleeding into a pixel story about Zoners being kicked off Erie are at least partially linked, so I think it's still worth bringing up in the scope of this thread.
Started reading this thread just yet, but many of the first posts have already been removed.

Can staff please stop censoring everything?

probably because the censored posts in question were just hateful posts rather than actually anything constructive

but that's my guess since I was sleeping and never saw the said posts

Would make more sense to put green/orange text there then instead of quietly removing content. I cant see what is being reacted to anymore. Plus this isnt new.

Plenty of things would make more sense if done differently, but it is what it is.

Get used to this now, I've also noticed it's becoming more common lately, maybe I should setup some bot that automatically archives posts on hot threads, I don't see any robots.txt on the server so I assume that's allowed.

Instead of sarcasm, you could just contribute earnestly to the discussion.
