Warriors,

As you are now most likely aware, our Consulate vessel was attacked without warning while attempting to reach its new berth at Newark Station, Manhattan.

Due to comms issues, the Kusari.Consulate was separated from its escort of KNF and KSP fighters while traversing the Kepler system.

The Consulate reached the Kepler/Colorado jumpgate with minimal damage; but upon jumping to Colorado the ship was set upon by bombers from the Xeno Alliance, and was destroyed before her escorts could reach the scene.

My apologies to the Emperor for this loss. I have directed the Yokohama yards to have a replacement vessel constructed and launched within two weeks' time. We will succeed in presenting our credentials to Liberty's President and Congress.

Humbly,
Bo Sun Gen

Maybe it wasn't a victory, but the fact that so many warriors were there for the task, is a small victory in itself and something to be proud of.

While the new Consulate Ship is being built at Yokohama Shipyard,
I will take this time frame to review the "protocols of engagement" with KNF officers and warriors.

It is not clear if our escort wing engaged the enemy without specific orders from the senior officer on the scene or if that order was issued too "earlier".

While the Imperial Council appreciate KNF officers and warriors zeal,
it does appreciate even more that the proper protocols or procedures are orderly approached and followed with attention.
Specially during operations like this one.

During an escort mission, no vessel should leave formation and engage until a specific order is issued from the commanding officer.
If an engagement take place, every pilot should keep trace of the escorted vessel on short range scanners and try to always stay within 5~8K to ensure every combat vessel availability in case the escorted ship is targeted.

Honourable Chjin, I received your communication concerning the incursion by one of our vessels into your
home system. I apologise profusely for this slip in protocol, and have spoken the gentleman in question as
to his future navigational judgement errors. I would however be obliged as to where your current scanning
equipment can be purchased, as we have little that can get out one of system, let alone cross three of them.
This is fine technology indeed, and we would be prepared to pay handsomely for those.
The generous application of the fine in return for rental payment is more than acceptable in this case, and
all of our pilots have been asked to read the Codex, and follow its contents to the letter now. The subject
of licensing all the company staff can be discussed at any future time of your convenience.
Apologies for missing your honourable self in Honshu last night, but I believe you and your forces were
otherwise engaged with the tedious removal of some pirate vessels at the time, and our contract stipulations
had our vessels in need of making the best possible time on our run in your space. I have left a small gift for
you and your compatriots in the usual tea room.
May our paths cross very soon sir, and the divine winds be on your backs at all times.

Jay Simon

Konnichiwa officers,

We have to report the usage of one of the emperors mightiest warships by a non kusarian commander.
Named vessel is a Kusarian Battleship class ship, last seen in Sigma 13 headed into Honshu system.

Callsign is: 'Claus-Solais', Independant Miners Guild

We approached named ship for a scan and to deploy a tracker signal in its computers to recover the ships location later.
As the commander of the IMG wanted to jump back into Kusarian territory, we locked down the Honshu jumpgate with a bypass; as we had questions to where and how this warship had been acquired.
Non satisfactory reply was given.
As Kusarian' and Gas Miners' traders wished to move on with their routes, we had to reopen the locked gate, from which the named commander take advantage to move into Honshu.

After we jumped also, he had disappeared from our scanners.
Last position of his tracker signal was near planet Honshu.

Konnichiwa Mr. Ninaji,
I thank you for your notification.
The vessel in question was indeed not known to the KNF High Command.
It is not clear how a ship of such proportion, firepower and psicological impact, could be obtained so easily from our shipyards even from gaijins.
Our offices are dealing with the problem right now.

Konnichiwa Ambassador Mannock,
standard deposit for this kind of license is 250 millions of Sirius credits.
However, as we are close to a possible cycle billing (4.85) the Imperial Offices are willing to offer a discount of 100 millions, knowing that the license may expire soon.

In case of a positive reply, 150 millions of credits can be sent via Neural Net to [KNF]Heikiko_Maru bank account.

Konnichiwa Mr...Greg Edwards, correct?
Unfortunately it is not possible to join the Naval Forces and instantly fly a Gunboat class.
Capital ships are rewarded to individuals at discreption of the High Command and usually the High Command does not reward them without well knowing the officer in command first.
Roles of command implies responsibility towards the lives of the crews and the ship itself, however, a Gunboat class is not something unreachable.
Please refer to the KNF Dojo for further development about this matter.
