Wait till I make admin someday.... Aerelm is just babycakes in comparison.
*The_Lost runs off terrified*
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
Yay for the sanction rampage.
About 2 or 3 more to go in the upcoming months before it's quiet for a few months again.
And then we have new admin elections, once again :3
Not to mention some sanction work is over rushed at the moment.
But you'll see later
I think if this continue, so nobody play here in the future.

Is aerelm power mad in his new admin position.
Or is he just mean.
It's rather cruel to make me pick between the two, don't you think? I wanna be both!
On a more serious note though, since there's been a lot of similar confusions in the past, I figured it wouldn't hurt to drop an actual explanation of how the sanction system works:
A player posts a violation report
A few members of the staff* go through the provided screenshots and vote on it
If the player is found guilty, a suitable sanction is decided on.
An admin logs the console and verifies the violation based on the logs stored on the server if needed
The sanction, which is already decided by the rest of the team, is applied to the ship in violation and a notice is posted.
* It's worth mentioning that if an admin was directly involved with a violation or is in some way related to the player or the faction the in question, he doesn't get a vote and has to sit it out, to make sure the report is processed as fair as possible.
So as you can see, the admin posting the sanction thread is actually doing a minor part of the job, and rest of it is done by other members of the staff in the violations section, which regular members don't have access to so they can't see what's exactly going on.
As for the massive pile of sanctions I posted, most of them were already decided on and just needed someone to finish processing them. I was originally intending to go through the banned/lost/stuck account requests first, but considering the longer a sanction is left open the harder it would be to do the last 2 steps of processing it (Due to the backlog being buried so deep it sometimes takes more than half an hour to dig up), the pending sanctions took a higher priority. Now that we're pretty much done with the overdue sanctions though, I'll be hopefully chewing through some player requests and be putting my madness for power into some actual use.
P.S: Thanks for the thread. I love the attention, obviously.
Aerelm joined already knowing most of our software because he's run his own server before or something similar like that He got a nice early start in being able to show what he knows. Summer will have his grind too which all admins do (someone pointed that out here, I can confirm this is what happens) not so much because we want them seen doing sanctions but it's to go over and provide practice with the tools. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone new and unfamiliar with adminship, best way is to toss em in early and get familiar early.
