And to which would we compare aircrafts and naval vessels? Snubs or caps? You see, the two different categories are present here as well. What is your point, why should we just throw away real life logic? Just because this is a game? Just because this is fiction? Just because some RL-RP comparisons doesn't work out well, do we really have to generalize and discard all of them?

Wait comparisons do you want then the vanilla game LNS was for cap si-fi show and move and books cap get Tag meaning that nation it from and class and/or Hull class. Small fighter craft normal get call sign or code name/nick name.
