Synopsis

A constant 'event' focusing attention on a particular region, with fixed playing rules and an ultimate objective. In this case, the Gallic Royal Navy's push into the border worlds of Cortez and Magellan is the focus. Objective is to condense the various RPs happening around it and present it in a single thread for easy access and more contiguous understanding.

Objectives

-Collect all roleplay pertinent to the area in question and put it in a single place, easy to access.
-Encourage Official factions to arrange fights with each other, and to provide activity which is different from the norm.
-Encouraging Roleplay in general, with a view towards providing a sensible flow towards end objectives. In this case, the Destruction of Freeport Four is a sub-objective.

How would it work?

A single thread is put up, and official factions and independents are encouraged to list themselves as part of the entire ordeal. Anytime some activity (forum based or ingame) happens relating to it, you put a link to the RP you've written in the event thread. Say the LN brawled with 6 fighters and won, posting a battle report. It'd go in the thread and so on.

The thread would list some ground rules, which were the general ones about ensuring fair fights and ensuring consideration for the player playing the enemy side. Fairplay and fun would be encouraged and possibly some rewards set aside by Official factions for people who take measures to keep those standards up.

What will it even achieve?

It'll collect and condense roleplay, firstly. It may also encourage people to play fairly towards each other and hopefully get some brawls going. Keep in mind, this is only a concept/theory right now, and I'm sure there are holes in this I'd missed.
