Good day to you all, ladies and gentlemen.

I wish to open a dialogue with you, signatories of or parties pertinent to the Treaty of Curacao, regarding a discussion to revise the somewhat antiquated document.

With the recent election of President Corvin, and subsequently this Parliament, we have taken up the hatchet not only to the harsh vegetation on the world of Yuma, but to the backlog of national security matters as well. Updating the Treaty, of course, falls into the latter category.

As a general outline for our proposed amendments, the Colonial Republic wishes to be included as a major signatory alongside our friends, the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Republic of Liberty. In addition, we feel that mutual defense arrangements against the ever hostile Gallia ought to be included, especially as a result of increased Royal Navy sightings in the Magellan region.

Besides the aforementioned Houses, I have also opened this transmission to Orbital Spa and Cruise, the Independent Miners' Guild, and the recently settled Natio Octavarium. However, specifics regarding those groups' involvement in this Treaty should probably be discussed after the primary revisions.

This concludes my message. We shall await your replies - the Colonial Parliament will be delighted to hear when this proposal is accepted for further discussion.

Sincerely,
[Image: tapuo3.png]
Nelson Steele,
Minister of State,
Colonial Republic Parliament

Minister Steele.

Officially.

At this time such will be discussed by the Admiralty Board on how to further along this ideal to make amendments to the Treaty of Curaco. While it has done well for the past several years, due to the threats from Gallia, you are correct upon its required revision.

Unofficially.

What took you guys so long?

» SUBJECT: Treaty of Curacao

Honorable Minister of State, Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm Susan Miller, the Chief Executive Officer of the Orbital Spa and Cruise corporation. On behalf of our company, I'd like to inform you that we are definitely interested in the renewal of this treaty.

Although five years have passed since its signing, we still have memories of the delicious food we had at the end of ceremony. But meanwhile many things changed. Given the current political climate, I admit that we are a little suspicious regarding the chances of success.

We understand that everyone is slightly worried by increased Royal Navy sightings in the Magellan. But honestly, we are more concerned for the security of the Cortez system. Our luxury liners are a constant targets of various unlawful groups, like Liberty Rogues, and let's be honest, the presence of the BAF or LN near to our home has become a rare thing. Therefore, we feel the need to see added in the new version of the treaty a paragraph about effective steps like increasing of patrols in this system.

Anyway, if all parties involved agree, we will be delighted to host the signing ceremony.

OS&C HQ out.

Nelson Steele;

We find your proposal to revise the Treaty of Curacao acceptable. The ever changing nature of affairs in the Cortez and Magellan systems, especially given the pressing advances of the Gauls, is something we agree should be looked into once more. We are open to establishing a dialogue with yourselves alongside the previous primary signatories, with proper consideration towards the secondary parties after the primary revisions are completed. We look forward to making the bonds among us strong in these trying times.

- Sam Worthington Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Bretonia.

Top of the day,

Thanks go to you all for responding to this message and agreeing to attend the meeting. Miss Miller, I will speak to Admiral Lewis and our Defense Minister in regards to increasing the Fifteenth's patrols around Curacao when I get back home.

Your request to add the development of Freeport Four to the agenda is of course granted, Guildmaster Henderson. As one of the original signatories, it is fair to see to it that the matter is sorted out properly.

I believe that addresses the raised concerns ... I suggest that the diplomatic meeting occur either this coming weekend or the next. Although perhaps not paramount, it is still imperative we stay on top of this.

Following the conclusion of the summit at Curacao, a draft of the revised treaty shall be presented here in this channel. Provided further discussion is required, details and specifics may at that point be debated and edited in. Delegates and witnesses will then sign the document, thus finalizing it.

May this suit all your needs. If any of you have a problem with something stated above, please bring it to our attention and I shall get back to you as soon as I am able.

Sincerely,
[Image: j8h7x4.png]

Afternoon, Delegates.

It has been my pleasure to work with all of you on the revision of this important treaty. Though it took some time to sort through the various points, we came to a conclusion without much heated debate.

With the amended treaty having been announced, I must soon return home to Pecos. There I will must address the Parliament and continue my work in other areas. I wish you fine ladies and gentlemen the best of luck, in particular those from Bretonia who have come under even greater strain as of late. Safe travels.

Sincerely,
