(Sighs) I know, I know... Y'all will be like, "Ha, what a noob." Yes, I know I'm a noob, I have been playing for almost a year, get over it. Just kidding. But still, I am still new to this and need to get as much info as I can. I have been thinking of creating a group for some time now, but I need more info on the game, I need to understand the game better, and maybe the factions/groups better. Does anyone have any tips, or advice to give me? I need all the help I can get for this. I think I might play the single player first, then after that, I don't know what to do after that. Any and all help would be nice.

Creating a group will need more than 1 member which I am sure you must be knowing. It will depend on what group do you want to create ....
Which ID/IFF you will need ...
After figuring those out, check Official faction associated to that ID and even Unofficial factions if any. Read their lore. Mark out the changes from Vanilla Lore.
Then, Move to Wiki. Have brief read about the faction and its assets infocards, Find its association in the Sirius Timeline and start reading the Base rumours. Associated base rumours and its own base's talks.
Have a chat with the Official faction Leader or the Unofficial faction's leader of the same ID, agree to a point and start writing the group's page.

You should, It gives a very elaborate Idea about the Vanilla factions and their history in Nomad wars.
Creating a group is fine, as long as you are not creating a faction. Creating a faction involves a lot of forum work, critic from the community and the ability to withstand said critics. It also requires an in depth knowledge of the lore of various factions related to the faction you are going to work under.
Also, look up on the Spazzys tutorial for creating a faction before doing so, since that would be a tad lot helpful. Remember this, the faction that has a lot of thoughts put into it, lot of hardwork, both forum wise and in game, after submitting the info thread on the forum, actively interacting with others in game, modifying your goals/needs/style of gameplay according to what the community thinks is best and other certain things will ensure the longevity of the group instead of the group being just a +1 to the other unofficial groups that were never able to see the limelight, despite maybe a good forum info thread/in game activity/ RP and so on.
So, think a lot and plan everything out before creating a group/faction. Also, regarding the Single Player, yes, go play it. Since it is more interesting and the storyline would clear up a lot of things related to faction lore of vanilla factions. And it will be entertaining too.
Thank you, all three of you who posted, the information was very helpful. I'll be sure to play the single player game, and do alot of history, then I'll decide what to do. Thank you again.
