Greetings,

As a major backer of the United Hope Foundation, it is with deep regret that we receive news of these events from the Gas Miners Guild. We would like to assure all parties involved that we are taking this matter very seriously. The men and women the Foundation reaches out to have already been subjected to the ravages of war across multiple fronts and are offered safety and work opportunities by the Gas Miners Guild as a key step in their rehabilitation. In exchange, the Guild has continued to be an invaluable ally to Liberty through its regular supplies of H-fuel. For almost a year now, Liberty and the Guild have agreed to the humane treatment of these displaced persons in transit to ensure they arrive at their new places of employment as comfortably and safely as possible. To hear of such brutality transpiring within the heart of New York is both shocking and abhorrent.

Due to the importance of the Foundation to Deep Space Engineering and the highly regrettable casualties, we would like to file our own inquiry:

• Why did two USI security officers - including who we assume to be the chief officer - see fit to take it upon themselves to detain a transport belonging to an ally of Liberty, attempting to act in the capacity of law enforcement officers?
  
• Why did the captain of the LSF-Phoenix neglect to properly check the existing agreements between Liberty and the Gas Miners Guild, then falsely claim to do so when questioned in a reasonable manner?
  
• Why was the liner not simply asked to turn around and return the displaced persons to Planet Pittsburgh or another station pending a review of current Liberty trade agreements?
  
• Why did the aggressors see fit to use deadly force as a first solution rather than threaten a fine or detainment?

You can be assured that Deep Space Engineering will be petitioning for the release of the crew and captain of the Kamchatka-Maru, as well as seeing to it that the death, pain, and suffering endured by these men and women of United Hope are compensated to the fullest extent. While the cost of life is immeasurable, we will do everything within our power to ensure the future of the United Hope Foundation and Liberty's relations with the Gas Miners Guild.

Today we escorted the remains of the crew and the repaired ship, as well as a new group of refugees from New York to Kepler.

LPI will be launching a full investigation against Universal Shipping as well as the Captain of the Phoenix. We aim to answer all the questions you are asking as well as many more. We hope that who ever the true criminal here is brought to Justice. I know I will not sleep until Justice is served.

Greetings, From the information i have and the logs from the original post and my Security officers at no time did any of my security officers order the ship to stop. The order to stop came from the LSF ship

LSF-Phoenix: James: Cut your engines GMG...

As was the destruction of the GMG ship was also destroyed by LSF-Phoenix. It was communications error with the LSF-Phoenix and LSF command as to the fact that this officer did not know about the agreement. There was no wrong doing done by my security officers as they alerted the proper authorities. This was the extent of USI's involvement.

Please note an internal investigation has begun as to why an LSF ship was even in that area, please send me all copy's of any evidence you are aware of. To ensure this investigation is completed sufficiently. So we may suppress any ships if they were working unlawfully.
Without sufficient evidence, we cannot process any further.

Also, Officer Colt, when it comes to Liberty Security Force, stand down. Know your place and help me lead an investigation rather than pointing a finger, especially when you send an open communication like that it makes you seem rather unprofessional.

When it comes to Kamchatka-Maru carrying legitimate slaves, I understand that the reports counts for LSF opening fire, but why did the LSF ship really open fire? Did it even open fire at all? Where is the evidence to clarify this? Was it protecting himself from an attack. Questions must be answered with evidence. I look forward to hearing from you all.
