This is FynnMcScrap from Tinkers Haven, the Freelancer trading base in Texas.
I wanted to thank two of your Pilots for the good work they did and the professionalism they showed in recent encounters.
For one, your member Kal Vertt accompanied me on a long round tour from Texas over Kusari and Rheinland to Bretonia and back to Texas, and I was very impressed by the professional stance he showed in the escort job. He earned every cred.
And then today I ran into a setup by Pirates, directly at the New York / Colorado Gate. Your Ace Luisa Game engaged them and again I was very impressed with her prowess and bravery. The com channels whisper of at least two trophys in short succession and a third and fourth a while later.
Now I know from own experience why Lord McRae is always speaking so well of you all.
I would like to ask what terms for a security contract would be feasable.
Lets say - a life insurance for my pilots and crews and a possible bias to negotiate case by case escort or security jobs.
I would like to send the Havens Security Officer to Border Gate Station to discuss the terms for a contract with you. He has full backing from me and from the Board of Trustees.
It was a pleasure helping you out of this little tense situation at the gate there. Sorry that I could not say thank you for your nice payment, but as you can imagine, these guys did not exactly ask me out for a dance once they understood I was distracting them to allow you to get away.
However, they will not use these ships so quickly, as they have been dismantled. A few Faze mates joined in and the rest of these scumbags was disposed of, too.
As far as your offer is concerned: We like to know what we face. Who is friend. Who is enemy. And if we know that we can count you to the friend side, that makes our job easier.
But hey, things like that are much easier to talk about face to face. I'm done killing in NY for today, so I might as well drop by. Let's see what comes from this.
Su cuy'gar burc'ya, I am glad that you decided to make business with us. However could we indeed get some more information on the said contract? We cannot put faith blindly, not by a longshot.
Well met again,
and thanks for the prompt response.
We are a trade net mostly, Freelance traders cooperating with Junker scrap crews, and we run our own scrap rig.
But sure, the Haven is more than than. We have friends at Junker Congress, we are on friendly terms with the Marauders,
and we are happy to have support by ALG. Oh, and not to forget LordMcRae and BMF.
Also, as we are a fully licenced trading platform in Liberty we are able to call upon lawful support in Texas and surrounding systems. But well... towards you I must admit that that is not the only fealty we pay. I managed to negotiate a deal with the Rogues , too.
We did not grant docking rights at the Haven to the Rogues and so we do not have any protection from the occasional tax, but our scrappers are safe from harassment and we are on good terms with the Rogues as a whole.
And that is exactly my point. We do not really need protection from the occasional taxation.
Its buisness of a sort, and we understand that.
While I prefer to pay an escort as it is safer to fly with a trusted wingman, we have no real problem if we pay passage fealty to somebody who understands that the cashcow is to be culled, but not killed.
The problem is : Not all Pirates do.
And that is exactly what I would like to have. A life line. Call it an Insurance Policy enforced by Faze.
If noname or known Pirates start shooting at tin ducks for fun, I would like to know that somebody is round to wag a finger.
A BIG finger.
Of course we have other problems too.
Xenos are not our friends. Gaians might not be amused that we are friends with BMF,and Hogosha are probably not our friends too.
But thats life, eh ?
We try to keep a low profile here and so we are dependent on de- escalating any problems before shooting.
But backup would be appreciated if needed.
After all the old rule applies : Righteousness is with the big guns, eh ?
Shooting away any joyride noname Pilots with LAWLS Syndrome from our Installations and providing short- and long reach escort for our crews at the Haven Clinic or in MedEvac and coordinated relief convois together with the SRO ( Sirius Relief Organisation ) would be the third point on the list.
There is a small food and medical supply convoi planned to a warzone soon. Our Ambulance ships are unarmed.
While we are probably not a major employee like BMF I would like to know if and how any such contract is possible so that I can calculate probable costs and add FAZE| transponder to the Havens docking registry.
