I don't think I mentioned it anywhere on these forums but next weekend I am taking part in Pedal for Scotland, a cycling event from Glasgow to Edinburgh. I did it before in 2010 but this time I've not had years of cycling behind me (given my bike was stolen in 2011 and only recently replaced), so should be interesting to see how I cope with only a little training so far.
The official charity of the event and the one I am cycling for is the STV Appeal, dedicated to helping Scottish children and young adults living in poverty with anything from food parcels, employment opportunities or even simply providing a child with their own bed.
If any of you are willing, donations can be made here. Thought I would ask as any little helps and I know Discoers have such open hearts. also I might come back if there are loads
I commend you on your effort Summer. Especially with the on going ice bucket challenge taking all the spot light, and dwarfing other smaller charities of much needed donations.
