He lofted a brow at her, he knew he did have to depend on something but what he considered freedom differed from hers."In freedom, I still depend on society, still fall into it, one among many who I depend on others work in gathering fuel, having the necessities, freedom to me would be one to solely rely on myself and Gaia - you'll find that this freedom has you see the many characteristics of the world and in the whole, you'll find a dislike for humanity but also find those who would be considered 'good' people in terms of the concept, Humans, take things for granted, I use to the terms humans, because of al the groups that would otherwise still say they are different they still fall under that general word. you have come attached to a small sector of what /nature/ is here, as much as anything you fight here because its a cause, people don't often do well moving around aimlessly, every one has a cause as a term of guidance in their life, the novelty in the end would weigh down on you, Flora, you'll get restless and the have the desire and need to do something and if you cant find that something, you'll become lost in that freedom, here, its familiar and you understand it, you could be free, as you call it. you merely need to cut loose and go into the stars, but is this wanting, really what you need?"
As the food and drinks arrived he would start to slowly eat and have the occasional drink, though he chewed and tasted little, spending more time in preparing to eat the food then savouring it. "Before you ask, my purpose and cause is the acquiring of knowledge, to sate my insatiable curiosity, to experience and contemplate."
I don't know... Such things aren't exactly something I'm wondering about while trying to not get killed day after day. But I guess I'd probably get lost. - She took a sip of her wine. - I'm just too used to my current life. Unstable. Unsure.
She sighed.
It looks like we don't differ that much. I love gathering knowledge about our world for the sake of my own curiosity. I like the feeling after discovering how something mysterious or unknown works. I like to experience the universe. How about you? What exactly are you looking for? Are you just learning everything as it goes?
On Daerunes face a thin smiled appeared. "Merely, I am trying to understand how everything works, which is an endless amount of things I need to understand, I just seek to understand everything which this desire is driven by curiosity - maybe in time this knowledge could be focused into something peace enforcing."
He would start to eat his meal slowly giving himself time to think. "I am not academically driven more I seek to know the phycology of people, how things could work harmoniously, the broadened spaces helps to understand the extremes, the better the community, the easier it would be to focus on more pressing concerns, such as preservation and enhancing things. such as nature, for people are only concerned about the present, neglecting the future will kill the present in time."
It seems so obvious, and yet not many people seem to understand that. - She started to slowly eat her fish. - I know how it'll sound, but sometimes thinking about it makes me sad. All those people just run through their lives, pursuing some imaginary symbols of status. Money, work, career, cardamine... Isn't it depressing a bit? - She took a sip of wine. - Sometimes I wonder if anyone can change that. If anyone can show those people that there're better ways to spend their lives than this. - She sighed. - If there's any way to change their mindsets... What do you think?
Daerune finished his mean crossing the cutlery over the plate and pushing it before him, his gaze peered at her for a time with a thoughtful expression and he would shake his head. "People will seek not to change, at least not to any drastic degree, maybe gradually, but I doubt people will want to take up a selfless mentality - or at least to the degree that's needed, they just all want to be a cut above the rest - you have those seeking equality and there are those that want to stand out and be special."
He took the glass of wine in hand and just rested it in his palm. "The 'better' way is merely a thought of perception, for some they believe the better way is to be in luxury, for others to be in natures grasp - take me for instance, I move out through the deep corners of space, while others if you had them do that, they would go nuts, you'd have to ship them back to the core words for that is their desire, to be around people - in truth the only thing you can change to a greater degree is yourself, apart from that its more or less a fools hope."
