At 900 SMT, I have personally allowed the warrant of arrest of ALG CEO, Magdalena Atzenbruck on the following charges:

1. Assault of a Rheinland Polizei Officer.
2. Destruction of Polizei property.
3. Refusal to co-operate with an Polizei officer when questioned.
4. Threatening a Polizei Officer.
5. Refusal to pay fines issued.

As we speak, several of mein finest Spezialeinsatzkommandos, (SEK), are in route to apprehend Frauline Atzenbruck for her crimes in which she will face trial and most likely serve time upon Vierlande. All ALG personnel are to co-operate fully during this time and not hinder our operations. Failure to do so will result in fines or arrests to the degree in which such are carried out.

I've been forwarded this statement from Ms Atzenbruck, written up under advisory of her legal team.
We are in contact via neural net, but she has not disclosed her location.

First of all, I hope the officer involved in the situation is healthy. As far as I could tell, the escape pod mechanism functioned properly and as this was a high-traffic area, I assume he was picked up soon. It was not my intention to hurt, much less kill the officer.
Second, considering the arrest warrant and possibility of a trial, my legal team is preparing my defense on grounds of self-defense. Despite the Federal Police's claim that I will "most likely" end up doing time at Vierlande, my legal team anticipates a drawn-out court battle that may take months. We also must question the legitimacy of the Federal Police commenting on the outcome of a potential trial they are themselves involved in.
Additionally, we are laying the groundwork for potentially counter-suing the Federal Police due to misconduct by the officer in question.

I believe neither party here is interested in lengthy legal proceedings that would be expensive and bad publicity for everyone involved. I therefor suggest an out-of-court settlement that would put the issue to rest. I am willing to pay compensation to the victim if we can agree on such a settlement.

Guten Tag, Sehr geehrter security chief Richter. My name is Laura Carsten and I´m polizeidirektor of the Rheinland Federal Polizei. I was authorized by inspekteur Artura to handle this message because he is ill currently.

Case of Magdalena Atzenbruck is a serious matter. I think this is the first time, at least from what I remember, when primary and even high-ranking member of Rheinland corporation opened fire at polizei officer during performing his duty. Result of Frau Atzenbruck´s action is one severely damaged bomber and one injured Bundespolizei officer. We take this very seriously. You should understand it as chief of security, imagine your feelings when somebody would to the same to your security pilot.

Frau Atzenbruck´s only luck is that officer was not injured seriously or even killed, there would be no conversation then. It is interesting that she is hiding somewhere, yet obviously able to gather legal team, I guess full of well-paid lawyers. It´s interesting to hear that opening fire on a police officer can be called "self-defense", but actually I´m not surprised that lawyers came with such...thing. Also, statement about Vierlande which includes phrase "most likely" is simply result of our strong belief that there is enough evidence for court to find Frau Atzenbruck guilty.

However, after considering all circumstances and taking into account facts that it´s first recorded offense of Frau Atzenbruck, and that it´s Rheinland corporation which is involved, Rheinland Federal Polizei is willing to talk about possibility of out-of-court settlement. Despite - as I said previously - this case is clear from our point of view and we have no reason to not take it to the court if necessary.

Conditions under which we may be willing to not do it are:

First, fine for violations of Rheinland laws - specifically violation of orders given by law-enforcement authorities’ representatives and assault on civilians or representatives of law enforcement authorities - and compensation to attacked officer and RFP as whole, will be sent to account RFP|Arsenal as well as payment for repair expenses of damaged ship and it´s equipment. In total sum of 42 286 000 credits.

Second, sum of 60 000 000 credits will be paid by ALG corporation under paragraph 2.6.2. of Article Two - Any of aforementioned crimes if performed by the administration of a corporation may be a subject to an arrest of all vessels of that corporation present in Rheinland space for the time of the investigation as well as a subject for multiplied fines or sanctions against the whole corporation.

Third, Frau Atzenbruck will send proper apology directly to wachmann Klaus Schmidt.

Fourth, as we feel that Frau Atzenbruck has to be punished in some way to prevent repetition of such behaviour, she will serve two weeks in community service - either helping in polizei canteen on Bonn station or as workforce in Bonn´s polizei docking and service bays.

Fifth, Frau Atzenbruck and ALG corporation will provide all information they have about gallic UC group as frau prevented proper questioning of it´s member, and about cooperation with it if there is any.

We will be waiting for reply from you, Herr Richter, as well as from Frau Atzenbruck.

Atzenbruck here, I figured it was time to respond personally. I will try to address everything you bring up.

Firstly, compensation for the Federal Police. You lost a vessel at my hand, and it's only fair to demand compensation.
I am willing to pay the 42 286 000 credits as I do not, of course, wish to cause material harm to the Federal Police.
Second, the Article Two, §2.6.2. fine. Again, I understand why you are levying this fine and I am willing to pay it. I would pay it personally, since I don't want to use company funds for my personal issues, though if for formality's sake you would prefer to receive the fine from the ALG bank, that can be arranged.

Third, the apology. Paying the frankly ridiculous fines you demand is one thing. But as I still have some semblance of pride left in me, you can forget about this. I have something else to tell the officer involved, though:

I've been in combat many times. Real combat, in the edge worlds, not the sort of inner-house troublemakers the Federal Police deal with.
But in all those fights I don't think I've ever gotten the same satisfaction from pulling the trigger as I did when I shot you.
If I had the chance to rewind and deal with the whole situation once again, rest assured I would pull the trigger again with the same conviction. I'm glad you're personally okay, but you deserved that a million times over.

Fourth, the community service. I'm not the sort of company president that's born with a silver spoon, and I'm not afraid to get dirty, so to speak. I will happily perform two weeks of community service but absolutely not in the employ of the Federal Police.

Fifth, regarding the Corse. ALG is not your personal intelligence service. We do not have any information on the Corse that isn't public knowledge, and even if we did I see no reason why we should submit it. If you need this sort of service, I suggest you contact the BDM.

Finally, I find it humorous that you would appeal to Mr Richter's sympathies by asking him to imagine his own pilots being subjected to this scenario. A rather silly comparison in my opinion because ALG security pilots would never harass and threaten a lawful vessel to the point that they decide to use force in their defense.

I suppose that's all for now. If you're not satisfied with my response - and I doubt you will be - I suppose it's inevitable that we take this to court. Until further notice, I am therefor taking leave from my position as company president.

Greetings again. The total of 102 286 000 credits has been transferred from the Thaya's account. If you need evidence of the transaction, I have it in store.

Again, I am not willing to perform community service in the employ of the Federal Police, that would seem very awkward indeed given their involvement in the case. Not to mention the barrage of insults I've had to endure even in these formal transmissions. I can't imagine that would end well.

As an alternative, why not join the company that manages one of the most extensive rehabilitation programs in Rheinland - ALG Waste Disposal?
My company provides work for hundreds of convicts and ex-convicts every month, and as you may imagine there is nothing fancy about it. Simple jobs like working in the smelters or separation units.

And please do not waste your time by bringing Ms Sachs into this. We've expanded significantly since she retired, though my vision differs slightly from hers. There really is no need to expose your ignorance of my company's history and capabilities with personal attacks.
Same goes for the "protection" you suggest I leave to you. In recent times I can remember several occasions when ALG security ships assisted Rheinland law enforcement in combat, but not the other way around.

Guten Tag, Frau Atzenbruck. Handling of this issue was again given to me. What a "pleasure"...

I will be brief. Doing community service in the ALG corporation is not acceptable. You are president of the company so there is justified concern that you would be treated -very- differently than other convicts. If you see conflict of interests in doing community service in polizei facility, I don´t understand how you can propose doing it in any ALG facility as this is conflict of interests as well. Where is any guarantee that your punishment would not turn into simple two week vacation?

Conclusion is that your community service must be done in some neutral third party then. You mentioned not fancy simple jobs like working in the smelters. If this is place and type of work which you chose to work out your community service, Kruger Mineralien comes to my mind as they can very likely offer this in one of their production facilities as well, I guess.

Would this be finally acceptable, "dear" Frau Atzenbruck? If ja, we will contact Kruger Mineralien to arrange your community service and it´s conditions so this issue can be finally finished.
