i understand that i cannot interact with anybody whilst in one.
but...

for example:

• can i PM an interacting player with // to let them know i don't exist / not part of the role-play
  

• server rules say role-play is required here, does that make the ship not flyable anywhere but Connecticut? or can i fly around as long as i stay mute and 'invisible' to the RP

it has one.
also is invisible, has uber-pan/strafe and uber-speed (400+, thrusts over 300)
don't know if it has a hitbox, but runs a 10k shield. mk8 au. and 300 nanos/shields

i'm not worried about the people. worried about the rules.

I'm fairly certain it does in fact have a hitbox. Most players have the decency not to go after you, and you can report them if they do. If you plan on using OOC, try to use it in private chat. Also, you can easily outrun everyone after you in addition to being able to dodge their fire. Relax, you'll be fine.

it does have a hitbox and you can be destroyed if stationary or not paying attention, they are however extremely difficult nay impossible to kill in most circumstances.
