Origin: Multiple "mothers": Eris Discordia, ancient Terran Deity; Hilda Burroughs and Gay Deceiver, scientists from an alternate "reality". (Thanks to the "other" Bob. Bob Heinlein, author of "Number of the Beast".
Age: Umm...
Mod: The original "F-unit", Mother Discordia was designed as a self-contained, mobile Nav and Comms Unit, although her "Divine" element made her rather a pain in the arse to Lightfoot, aka "Malaclypse 666". Later tasked with secure comms for the ELF over "FnordNet".
During the transition from ELF to FSFP, Malaclypse 666 received a revelation from Goddess. He "freed" the Fnordettes, declaring them to be sentient and independent members of the Free State. All Fnordettes are/were "copies" of Mama Dis, with the exception of Shamus, whose "essence" was retrieved from the "afterlife" and placed in a globe previously occupied by the remains of Fiona deLuna's daughter.
Fnordettes of note: Mama Dis, Chairentity, Council of Zoners; Sophie Noir, former CEO, 1st Bank of Flax, current CFO, Waverly LLC.; F-23 Kitty, companion to Fnordie the Wonderpooch, believed captured by Cylons, status unknown.
Character: Captain Inoue "Tenshi" Ryo Affiliation: None; he works only for himself, though he has made some deals with the Junkers to provide him a ship and the Zoners to provide him shelter; for OOC reasons, he has a Zoner ID and tag though. Gender: Male Species: Posthuman Origin: Kusari Age: 42 (age isn't really affecting him as he has lost almost all of his biological substance) Mod: Due to some rather unfortunate happenings in his early adulthood, the Kusari government deemed the research conducted on the deep space cruiser Inoue was stationed on as "too dangerous for civilian hands", and imprisoned all of it's scientific personnel. Some escaped, some were executed, and some are still locked up in one of Kusari's high-security "black" prisons. A small number of Kusarian prisoners, however, were chosen to participate in a top secret project run by the government which aimed to improve human DNA structures far beyond what was thought to be feasible with current technology. The experiment exceeded in improving his already amazing cognitive abilities to a level only reached by true AIs, but severally affected his psyche and body, and though it is not known if it were the experiments or the inhumane treatment that made him what he is now, when he was finally able to escape when the station was attacked by a large Blood Dragon raid fleet, he was nothing but a cold, antisocial individual. Rejected by everyone, but still capable of love, he decided to turn away from the human race, knowing that it would only cause him pain to live among them. Together with a small crew and the AI SOPHIA-4 he programmed, he headed for space far away from even the most remote Zoner stations, and is now studying the leftovers of long gone xenocivilizations, though a few years ago, his interests changed from dead ruins to very lively Slomon K'Hara, towards which he shows an almost obsessive fascination, which even drives him back to core systems when he even heard the faintest rumor of a encounter between K'Hara and humans.
Character: SOPHIA-4 Gender: Neutrum (though programmed to act as a female entity) Species: True AI Origin: Programmed by Inoue Ryo Age: 3 (though about 1 year was spent creating her) Background: Originally designed for the sole purpose of being a substitute for a human crew aboard the RV Illumina, Inoue far exceeded his goals and created a "true AI" - an artificial intelligence capable of human traits. SOPHIA-4 (the number indicates that "she" is a "fourth generation AI", of which only a handful exists in Sirius) now controls most of the ship's functions, from it's rarely used weapon turrets to the much more frequently used waste disposal module. Usually, she keeps quietly in the background, only interacting with Inoue from time to time.
//Including her, as while she may not be alive biologically, philosophically, she is.
Character: May "L-15" Clearwater Gender: Female Species: Human/Nomad hybrid Origin: Liberty Age: 27 Background: A character I yet have to introduce. I won't tell too much about her by now, but I'm currently planning a very extensive story in which she will be one of the key persons.
Character: Kumori Doragon
Affiliation: Kusari Naval Forces
Gender: Auia implanted off a dead kusari male
Species:Artificial Intelligence
Origin: Shikoku japan, unknown.
Age: 1 1/2 years.
Mod:
Kumori Doragon is a strange personality indeed. He was brought to a hidden artificial research facility somewhere in Shikoku, Kusari.
Kumori Doragon was formed off of the 'auia' or imprintation of a person's psyche. This transferral is one hundred percent fatal to the original host, but the pilot was dying anyway. The laboratory is held in secret, and nobody knows where it is. Even the often stray kusari patrol would come up, only to be jammed and shot down before any word got out. Word of these incidences were quelled later.
Kumori Doragon was a offset of a scientist simply named Ian. He worked with the scientist for a long time, before being commissioned to the Naval forces. He has decided to keep the work done there a secret, and people who get to nosey find themselves redirected to another mission.
Kumori Doragon is a fourth generation AI, whose capacities of learning and growing is un parrelleled by all but humans. He has developed a personality of his own, accent, and his own opinions about things. He largely holds humans in low regard, labeling them as "Smelly disgusting, carbon-based fruitcakes." Despite these quirks, he has made friends in the Naval forces. He has a strange clipped accent.
Mod: Mon'Star was an unwilling test subject of a secret Liberty science project. For an unknown period of time Mon'Star was subjected to numerous experiments.
-Exo-Dermal Reconfiguration: a hardening of the skin to increase durability.
-Advanced Gene Therapy: the removal of Mon'Star's dependancy on Cardamine, resulting in mental instability.
-BioMech Synthetic Limb Installation: An artificial limb composed of BioMech, an experimental organic metal similar to an exoskeletal material making it roughly 5 times stronger than steel while also not weighing anymore than a normal limb. The unique construction of the Biomech "muscles" allows the limb to perform feats of vast strength, the limits of which have yet to be tested. the Biomech material has sensor arays built into it to act as synthetic nerves capable of relaying the sense of feel, which helps in better control. the sensors can be deactivated if needed.
-Synthetic Optical Renderer: A Biomech artifical eye capable of rendering thermal, infrared, xray, telescopic, and microscopic images. The system also comes with the option of providing information in a HUD type display.
-Wireless Control Interface: A series of Biomech sensor arrays attached to Mon'Star's brain capable of interfacing with devices through a wireless connection via thought.
-Advanced Muscle Tissue Enhancement: DNA alteration of Mon'Star, for the purpose of increasing muscle mass to enhance his physical attributes & capabilities to that of peak human levels.
-Organic Nanite Populating: An attempt to reverse engineer Nomad technology. An advanced prototype of nanobot, completely organic, further increasing the effectiveness of it's interface with the host bodies organic tissue. the nanites perform an endless list of positive enhancements to Mon'Star's body. further increasing the reaction time and strength of the afore mentioned enhancements. Repairing and performing maintenance on all of Mon'Star's systems resulting in a form of advanced regeneration, which includes Biomech due to the organic nature of the material. As the nanobots reproduce they have been programmed with the ability to evolve over time in order to perform new task and further enhance the host body, the limits of which were never fully tested.
The extent to which Mon'Star's body was modified and the nature of the modifications has left him in limbo when it comes to categorizing him. Being neither human or machine but a perfect blend of the two. the evolution capabilities of the nanites coupled with their ability to modify the current systems only adds to the mystery of the full extent of Mon'Star's modifications.
