I'd like to offer you a tip;

In the wake of the disconcerting and repeated incursions of Corsairs into Frankfurt as of late, I dispatched my Aktivisten to discern why precisely they venture to Frankfurt as opposed to a system closer to Hessian holdings.

Imagine my surprise when one of my Aktivisten panickedly reported on her comms that she was taking fire from a Murmillo-class Battleship within the Westerwald. We scrambled a trio of bombers and chased it out of the cloud, and all the way to the neighboring Yanagi Pocket. It wedged itself under the shields of the leftover Junker Base there, but we caused it substantial damage.

Upon further investigation, we located a legitimate Corsair Stronghold within the Westerwald's Northern ebb. I sincerely cannot fathom how this was snuck by both the Federals and Hessians, to say nothing of us.

Let me know what you think. I'm willing to cooperate on this problem.

Now to your message. I can´t understand how the hell were Corsairs able to build an outposts there. Maybe I could understand the one made from the junker base which can pretend to be abandoned for GMG patrols. But the second one was built or at least dragged there. I know it is hidden within nebula and thus safe from long range sensors, but still. This needs time, planning and proper ships. It seems that Corsairs can be smarter than we expected.

But honestly, I don´t know what to do with this. First, I´m afraid that Corsairs will move the outposts to new locations because I doubt they didn´t notice your ships and thus they know their bases have been revealed. And second problem is - I actually don´t know at the moment how to forward this information to military without being questioned how I obtained it. It is obvious that any polizei officer couldn´t bring it because the outpost in Frankfurt is far from our regular patrol routes and the one in Sigmas is out of even theoretical reach.

I will think about this, maybe I will find out something. Do you have any ideas?

I apologize doubly; first for my lapse of confidentiality, and secondly for having taken so long to reply. Your Federal acquaintances in the Rheinswehr have been especially dogged in their pursuit of the Widerstand's assets as of late. Did you know that they turned their guns on us after we spent so much effort on fighting the Corsair incursions? After that betrayal, I'm of half a mind to target them first in the future.

Assuming that we're actually able to leave the Taunusfeld without a large number of snubcraft being scrambled, I intend to run frequent patrols of both the Westerwald Cloud and the entirety of the Sigma-13 nebula. I also plan to ensure that nothing unusual is occurring in as much of Frankfurt's Sudnebel that we can possibly discern.

How "directly" we coordinate on this matter is up to you entirely. If nothing else I'd recommend more frequently patrolling Frankfurt and Munich; I'd of course recommend remaining out of Bundschuh territory if only for the sakes of the Polizei under your command.

I would also suggest seeking out areas where Unioners most commonly congregate. They tend to be very accommodating to Corsairs in particular.

The other two transports were similarly outfitted with the same cargo. I unfortunately was unable to do any real damage to them even piloting a bomber, due to an ion storm within the Westerwald Nebula.

I caught them en-route from Neu Berlin, implying that they had delivered something and were making a return trip. Take one guess, with them being Outcasts. I also know that you know that we deal in similar illegal arms... But I would personally much rather have them in our hands than theirs.

Hallo Erich! I´m sorry I didn´t reply to your message earlier. I didn´t want to risk it, I had feeling Büro might be tracking my communications so I wanted to let it check thoroughly by polizei tech experts to which I of course said that some criminals might be spying on me.

Anyway, danke for information about those smugglers. Your scans - well, unfortunately I had to say we got them from anonymous source - were final nail for Outcasts, so to say. After seeing it, direkteur asked Bundestag to add these cardamine addicted junkies to list of enemies of Rheinland for their repeated violations. And it seems it will go through. So next time, once they will show anywhere near law abiding stations in Rheinland, they will be greeted by shooting.

I've been better, hence how long it's taken for me to return this to you. Lately I get the distinct feeling that the Bundesrepublik is aware of the Widerstandsarmee's status as the premier defense of the Frankfurt system; we've had Corsair battlegroups complete with dreadnought-sized vessels wearing down our energy, the Buro has been ruthlessly probing the Taunusfeld. I say "aware" because the latter seems only to strike when we're at our most weary.

Now the Maltese have been smuggling "Illegal" munitions Northwards to the Sigmas along the trade lanes, without the Bundespolizei around to stop them. We managed to catch and disable one of the convoys, but we suffered injuries and casualties in return.

The Widerstandsarmee is more than willing to defend at least this Northern corner of Rheinland from the Sigma invaders, but we need reinforcement if either group returns. As always I'm profoundly hesitant to make ends meet through piracy or lane-sitting, but morale is beginning to slip notably, particularly with so many modular-stations merging the boundaries of "civilian" and "military" as of late.

By the way... Has my proof of Republican's and the Buro's corruption even left Rheinland? I've sent it out to the entire Sirius Sector now twice on the most powerful neural net-optronic we have, and have garnered zero media coverage anywhere, from what I can discern.

Please reply when you can; the situation here is becoming desperate.

Hallo again, Erich! Situation in Frankfurt is not gut, I´m not going to lie about that. Black market munitions smuggling activity went high recently and Corsair raids are more and more frequent. Unfortunately polizei forces have its limits, be it in numbers or in anti-capital ships weaponry. And what is even worse, it seems they started to attack on two fronts - few days ago they launched big attack in Omega-11 system and destroyed modular station there. And what was even more weird, there were two untagged Hessian ships which not only let them continue, but attacked us when we tried to help that civilian station. I wouldn´t believe that but I was there and saw it with my own eyes.

Regarding "so many modular-stations merging the boundaries of "civilian" and "military" as of late" - come on, don´t exaggerate. There is exactly one station which is allowed to produce military grade technology which is Nassau. All other stations - at least those which are built legally and registered - are just mining and trading stations. And honestly - I saw your message and you seem to be convinced that Rheinland is the only house doing such things as manufacturing hi-tech military grade devices using nomad research and materials. I hope you are not so naive to think that Liberty is not doing this too. If so, explain me where they are getting their cloaking devices from. Same applies to cooperation of corporations and military when developing and manufacturing weapons and other military grade stuff. As far as I know, this is quite common practice in Liberty.

Oh and speaking of which - I don´t know what happened to your message. Maybe BDM jammed it or blocked it? But I saw it, there was special meeting of polizei Oberkommando because of it. And I will be honest with you - is it really necessary to put there calls to defect from Bundespolizei? We are low on personnel already.

Now to the last point. I´m not going to pretend that it would not be quite helpful if Widerstandsarmee could continue helping in defence of north Rheinland from direction of Sigmas. Obviously military cannot deploy enough forces there and I already said that polizei have limits too.

But I´m little confused. Is there something specific what you are asking from me?

I'm not so naive that I believe Rheinland is the only Sirian colony that experiments with Nomad technology. What is important here is that we caught them doing it. Years ago I've asked Rheinwehr piloten why they were fighting the Libertonians instead of laying down their arms; one of the common replies was "Nomad Research", particularly the module taken from Munster in Bremen, being fought over in Neu Hampshire still.

The Hessians often let their ends justify the means, and they wanted Konigsberg Station destroyed, I presume. In fact, Hessians contacted me during mid-flight two days ago begging for help against the station's construction, attempting to galvanize me into action by spinning a tale about a fleet of Battleships defending it.

I apologize if I exaggerated to some extent on the matter of modular stations; that said, I don't have reliable records on the purposes of either neighboring Breuninger Station or the profoundly-armed Nebula-Fortress of Reutlingen. If you're willing to send me proof of their commodities and intentions, it could prevent me from erroneously coming to snap judgements.


On the matter of my transmitted message; I apologize if I dampened the morale of the Bundespolizei serving under you, but our intentions for Rheinland travel in opposite directions. If the Federal Republic could be toppled without firing a single shot or ending a single life, I'd choose that method.

But it won't. And I know that the Bundespolizei will be put in the Bundschuh Party's way, ordered around by the Law that your superiors enshrined. When that metaphorical day comes, we're going to attempt to speak to you on a large scale, looking through you, at the bureaucrats and corporate overlords behind you.

What happens on that day depends on every individual member of the Bundespolizei and the Rheinwehr.


On a slightly more productive note, we were assaulted by Unioner wings of all things today. I'm certain that they'll be popping past Frankfurt, Munich, and similar territory very soon. We're more than willing to openly work alongside your forces to knock their egos down a peg.
