Although on your server this battle did not take place,
Skaldi now plays here and deserves his song of grace,
Besides I have no other orders for tales to weave,
so a little one about Skadi shouldn't force anyone to grieve.

Skaldi Kin-Slayer

I
n the Giants realm a hero born,
To the lands of east he was sworn,
Until a champion As of the west,
Upon this hero he impressed,
the ways of his land so far away,
that this Eastling hero did homage pay.

The light of the As was too bright,
the Giants land preferred the night,
the Aesir forced to return to the Suns-death,
East-Hodr a bondsman with the Aesir left,
A foster son of Aesir in Asgard he became,
he earned his hosts trust and great fame.

This Battle-Freyr grew mighty in his Lord's hall,
until he was 2nd in the greatest Empire of them all,
He stood steadfast at the side of his Lord great,
upon His most important deeds would East-Hodr wait,
A trusted councilor his words thought most wise,
capable of sweet music to which his name Skaldi gave rise.

But the Aesir were stubborn to no end,
and to the whims of Jountheim they would not bend,
Their As-lords and champion and colonists they sent,
to tame the land and force it to pay to them rent,
But to the whims of Wolf-father did the East-As obey,
and so was Skaldi sent to the dissenters to slay.

He stood before the makeshift hall of earthern clay,
and spake before the hosts "this be your last day"
And then the winds and wrath of Dane he brought to bare,
He forced the din of the Valkyrie leaving nothing to spare,
He hunted and killed his East-Kin one by one,
ignoring the lingering sight of setting sun.

His wolf-of-Wounds cleaved true,
as with it the winds of power flew,
leaving nothing but death at his feet,
an untimely end he forced his kin to meet.
Until all who stood against the might of the King,
where delicacies of the Ravens having forsook their ring.

Skaldi the Kin-Slayer had won this song,
and in the tales of heroes his name belong,
for he the East-Hodr and Foster-son of the West,
Had proved his right to stand amongst the best,
Skaldi the Kin-slayer bane of the east,
Where upon their dishonor he made of glory a feast.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
