I seen the galactic map, and I wondered why they implemented it, it could be just for other sectors such as bastille and conn(conn is already in the lost sector!)
It won't happen. As Alley (or Haste?) stated, Galaxy Map and other sectors are just to keep unused systems at bay.
For example, Conn and Bastille are not visible in Sirius Sector.
However, there might be possibility of pushing Gallia into different sector, as Gallia is, astronomically speaking, different sector (technically, it's "over" the Tau Systems, which means "up" in 3D, not "up" on the map.

Hmm perhaps, but still might happen, we never know!

I can say new sector won't happen. Why? There's barely anyone online, "just" 100 people at high peaks, in exception for events. We even remove unused and needless systems, because activity in them became pretty... It was a damn round zero. Maybe 0.01.
We have something around 100 system. Vanillia map alone is pretty big, scoring around 50 systems. However, I thought in the very first place that Discovery would make existing systems more advanced rather than adding new systems. Places like Texas or Kyushu are still pretty underdeveloped systems. It's been 20 years since original Freelancer campaign took place, so... maybe... these systems should be a bit more developed.
