LEEDS SYSTEM – When Battleship Oubli unexpectedly fell to a Libertonian suicide fleet, politicians of the traitor houses were convinced that our navy was weakened. Much to the contrary, however, the Royal Navy recruitment offices have received a sudden influx of new volunteers. Gaule Cinque has received reports that even respected ship captains are willingly quitting their reputable and well-paid posts and joining the volunteers in a rush of patriotism determined to keep our forces marching onward.
The Amiral in charge of Les Bohèmes volunteer corps, Georges Guynemer, came out to shed more light on this group of selfless individuals.
“As a response to the foolish strike on Oubli, our people have decided to flock in droves to serve in the advance invasion fleet. Les Bohèmes, as they have chosen to call themselves, are the true examples of Gallic patriotism. I regard these men and women as some of my most respected troops. They chose not to wallow in self-pity after such a grave moment of national dishonour, but instead to sacrifice all their possessions in order to strike back. Our top analysts say the predicted results are already very promising. Liberty’s operation hurt them more than us, their supply lines are too thin and as far as I am concerned, the province of Bretonia is drawing its last breath.”
Vice-Amiral Pierre Vincent du Petit Thouars was prepared to reveal even more details on this new collective and their flagship, the RNS-Tonnant.
“The Tonnant is a great symbol of Gallic willpower. Time and again, it has been disabled by the dishonourable forces of our enemies, and yet it has always returned to the field stronger than before. It is exactly this will that drives my Bohèmes forward. We do not possess all the advanced equipment of the Primary Fleet and many of the pilots do not have much battle experience, but we can promise that for every single one of us who falls, twenty wretched foreigners will follow.”
The Crown Majesty has come out to congratulate the group, calling them the fury which will burn the traitor houses, but also to address rumours which have been circulating ever since the group made its first appearance. There were concerns that some of the volunteers are not joining of their own free will. His Majesty stated that such insults to his loyal subjects would not stand, referring to them as unfounded treacherous propaganda and cheap tactics aimed at soiling his image in the eyes of the Gallic public.
Gaule Cinque will follow the actions of these selfless defenders of the realm, and report the results of their gallant operations.
