i have just installed freelancer on my computer. I run vista and ESET antivirus. I have downloaded all mods etc but when it comes to selecting the server i get an error code saying that the server has either possibly crashed or is shutting down. Not once have i been able to connect to the server.

My brother has freelancer on his PC on the same network and can connect with no issues. His system runs Vista with AVG.

Any ideas???

Could it be a router issue?!?!

Try turning off defender and the antivirus, also look at the vista tutorial here:

I've got the same problem. I've tried running clean as well but i don't think it helped, though i will try waiting a bit.

I run XP and the Anti and the Firewall are properly set to allow all related to discovery so they are not the issue.
