Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but will the ships change over to the new ones automatically in 4.85? Or will you retain the old one that you had in 4.84 until you sell it? My BH Guard Commander has the BH Assult Battlecruiser and I LOVE that ship.
Just curious, I haven't seen anything relating to this on the forums.....

You ask me why Im weary, why I cant speak to you.
You blame me for my silence, say Its time I changed and grew.
But the war's still going on dear, and theres no end that I know...
And I cant say if were ever...
I cant say if were ever gonna be free.

yes - they change automaticly - and also .. yes you might have to repurchase them....

reason for that is - that we have changed the powercore of most ships. - ( all 4.84 ships use the "small" power in 4.85 ) - so when you have a large ship... chances are that your ship will change.

however - you have a battlecruiser... and the powercore of the battlecruiser will stay where it is ( 3.6m ) - so in your case - there is no reason to sell it and buy it again.

and the model itself will change automaticly

the only thing you might wanne do is reposition your turrets to the new model - out of esthetics or cause some turrets might suddenly have a different arc. - but thats just a minor inconvenience.

is there a need to rebuy the ship? cause its gonna be awful expensive if you got a lot of big ships.

i guess my juggernaut will get a bigger powercore as it is one of the huge battleships, not rebuying it would cripple its abilities in battle, but its not like i would notice that cause a zoner hasnt much to fight anyway. so not rebuying it wouldnt give me any advantage at all.

but for my lux liner i guess it will be different, at the moment it has an infinite powercore with the transport lvl 4 turrets, i guess that will be adjusted, so rebuying it would have to be made a condition to keep playing with it and not taking advantage of the old infinite powercore.

i really hope we get to know this a little time before the mod comes out, so we can plan a bit ahead, or we get some sort of change period, where it is allowed to make the possible adjustments to our characters.

Anything relevant will be posted when the time comes. If you need to re-buy the ships, you will be told.
And this has been covered in several other threads recently ...
Please stop speculating on things a very few people actually have all the answers to. Its a new mod version,
and a lot will change. Play 4.84 as it is now, not what may, or may not happen in the future.
Thank you.
