I don't know where to ask this....

So I'm asking it here rather than in the Disco help area, because it's actually about software aside from Freelancer/Disco itself.


Anyway, I'd like to record myself playing, to show some friends what Discovery is all about. Thing is, I can't get Open Broadcasting Software to detect Freelancer. Like, at all. Then again I'm rather inexperienced with it. Does anyone else know how?


(Answers like "Get real recording software" will be ignored, I'm on a very very VERY tight budget right now....)

you can use screen record on most laptops and desktops to record your self in game, it works the same way as screen shot, look up you PC model on google and it will have weather you can screen record or just screen shot,

If you have a GTX 600 and up series card, you can capture either via Shadowplay that comes with GeForce Experience or stream to twitch.
If you use AMD, they too, I think, have an equivalent thing.

Run Freelancer as administrator, then run OBS as administrator.
