Greetings,
Once again i was wondering about a piece of graphic.
Can someone tell me how are you giving buttonn (links) into a signature? It would be lovely to have buttons which directs to for example to biographies.
Icant offer more than my undying love and interner cookies and cake. With milk or tea, your pick.
Thanks in advance, cheers,
Elvin
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.
you cant really. those who does this actually cut their signature in multiple pieces where each pieces would be a linked image to another page. simple as that.
I think you can with gimp... i found something the other day... but can't remember now, and didn't try it.
But if you look at Dopamino's sig Xing, the bg render loads up, and then the 2 text buttons on top of it, suggests its not done as separate images... i dunno
Indeed I do see, I don't think its possible properly, but i'll have a fiddle tomorrow and see if anyway of doing it properly can be worked out. But i doubt it...
heh, I think I was the first one on these forums to make signatures that (appear to) have buttons in them.
Basically, you have to cut the signature up into slices and make each slice link to a specific post. I can make signatures like this for you, but it comes at a cost, and currently I have several other people who need some made and no time right now to make them.
Contact me via pm if you want something done, but dont expect it to happen quick or cheap.
I read a tutorial a year ago about how to do it but I didn't remember it until you started making your sigs Tenacity:P
The process isn't too difficult, but you have to redo all of it any time you want to modify the image. If Tenacity doesn't mind, I can handle any of the spillover business.
We're kinda limited in what we can do with the image splitting/buttons because the signature space uses the forum's proprietary code, not HTML. There are shortcuts, but they aren't really easy.
