The Zoner Capital Ship Gryphon is a type "Aquilon" Zoner Carrier that was commissioned in 818 A.S. and formally launched in early 820 A.S. Unusual in her design the Gryphon makes heavy use of computerized subsystems; allowing her to have a crew complement almost half the size normally required for a vessel her class. Additional changes to her design included a 3 story marketplace, the centerpiece of the ship providing access to facilities that most edge world stations lack. These facilities range from a fully functional forge to a fully staffed hospital. Since her launch the Gryphon has been deployed to the edge worlds providing service to station and ship alike.

The Gryphon was holding position near Freeport 11 conducting shuttlecraft operations when several unidentified vessels started speaking over open frequences. The Captain queried the vessels and it was later discovered that they were of nomad in origin. The nomads were initially non aggressive however after being engaged by local Core patrols they quickly turned on all other vessels present. Flight operations were quickly canceled and the Gryphon withdrew to within the local station defense perimeter.
Even though operations were ended early the Captain was happy to report that he has arranged transit access to the Omicron Rho system.

The Gryphon transited the Rho system earlier today and we arrived at Freeport 8 shortly after lunch. I’ve scheduled some R&R on the station but I’m afraid that I won’t get to rest the entire time. 12 crew members have chosen to end their contract with the ship and need to be replaced. Additionally we’ve taken on 5 pilgrims bound for Baffin and 5 travelers that are headed for Omega 49. Both these groups will be with us for a number of weeks and I look forward to getting to know them.

The Gryphon arrived at Freeport 11 early this morning, rather than waste time unloading into the cargo bays we were able to simply pull the cargo to the flight deck and have it delivered to the work sight directly. After we finished the delivery I was informed that we were taking on some passengers along with our usual cargo. Rather than go direct to Freeport 9 we took a slight detour to Livida Shipyard for a quick resupply. As we were preparing to leave we met the L.N.P.|ZNS-'Templar' commanded by Augustine Midas; which was entering Livida behind us. We bantered a bit about the various policies occurring across the sector. From the Core to the S.C.R.A. I'll have to remember to contact them next time we end up near Omega 49
