If you had been in a fighter or bomber - there is a standing bounty on smugglers in Liberty of 50,000 credits. Not much, but better than a kick in the butt - and it's in line with their 100,000 credit bounties on killing other scum.
When 4.85 comes out, you're going to need to keep the big bounty hunter ships out in the Sigmas, Gammas, and Omegas, as per the ID restrictions and new rules. So keep that in mind. And if you'd like a job with a fighter or bomber - let me know.
There is a new bounty out on Oliver.Hinds. He runs a fully decked gunboat and there are 10 bounties at $2million each.
He famously demands $2million bribe when your level demonstrates that you cannot possibly have that in cash and when you explain as such he states "ok your dead", and then ...um..you are.
I'd personally prefer the chance to chat and reach a level of agreement. Looked so much like a setup kill to me. Then when I was a Richard Crainium (William Darkmoor was kind enough to point that out and I finnally listened) Mr Oliver Hinds then demanded to all that he had only asked for $1million. My character was 2 hours old.
So there's the bounty. PM me when you post screenies. I'l lhonour this for any Liberty Roughes and Lane Hacker PC's pirating in Liberty Sapce.
Once again a thankyou to William Darkmoor who has proven himslef to be a man of integrity.
Tallyho Good Chappie! Stiff Upper Lip What?! Now, where are my pants!
I think I know the smuggler you're talking about, and yes, it is frustrating.
On my smuggler, I RP it as much as possible if I get caught, run for a pirate base.
However, you did break the rules by attacking him in something larger than a gunboat, but I don't know if the rule applies when the guy is attacking an lawfull, as that is pseudo self-defense. I do know you can attack with anything in Alaska or guard systems (with the appropriate ID).
It really is annoying when a smuggler runs right to the moor with a cheap excuse like "I forced the rings open"...
And a lone bomber vs. a liner never ends well.
I'd say, if he reports you, talk to him, see what he says. If he's a jerk about it, report his rules-lawyering and get it over with.
