Yeah, I ram cap ships from time to time, never intentionally.
Normally I either break from my approach to late and my bomber cant turn fast enough to avoid it, or I'm facing the ship talking to it when it unexpectedly opens fire. In the rush to dodge its shot I often hit my thrusters before I have steering under control.
In the heat of combat it sometimes just happens and neither side expects it.
