Ok, so in the admin notice, it says that after 30 days the admin team should either approve or deny a request.
But I see alot of requests which have been there for a long time (Zapp's tundra request for example) that have yet to be touched by the admins, but others which are approved within 6 days apparently? (XA-FastJack)
So what does the 30 days actually mean? I realize the admins are extremely busy but I'm a bit confused... does the notice mean it will be accepted or denied before 30 days are up, or any time after 30 days pass?
Does the special RP request actually mean much for the characters on the server? example, should we stop playing a special RP character until the admins approve it?

Can't answer the first few questions, but I can provide my opinion on the last one..
Yes, you need to stop using special-RP characters on the server if your special RP request hasn't been approved yet. I've seen people sanctioned for using their special RP before it was accepted. I saw Zapp in NY one night with his Freelancer character in a Sabre with Tizonas.. Suggested to him to change those to Imp. Debs until the request was approved so he didn't get sanctioned.
If you want to avoid getting sanctioned, you will need to stay within the bounds of 'canon' behavior/loadout of the NPC faction your aligned to until the request is approved.
Yeah, kinda was worried bout that, guess the only action my dreadnougt/gunboat will see for awhile is sitting around for 5 minutes to prevent the inactive wipe.. heh....

its a bit all like the faction request thing.... factions were supposed to be approved or rejected much quicker, t oo - but it took ages. - special RP chars do, too.
a suggestion would be to delegate such decisions maybe away from the admin team and more towards the moderators so its a shared work - but i don t know if it would help.
i think the first notice about special RP chars was really that they d be automaticly approved when not rejected after a certain time. - but maybe there are simply too many requests for special chars...
and thats just the tip of the iceberg - with the much tighter rules that everyone appreciates ( or so it seems ) - less freedom = more special char requests. many chars that are now applying to be "special" were nothing but common some time ago - ( yet no one complained ) - now they need to be special to avoid sanctions.
Zaps Tundra is now rolling with a Nomad tag. Be very afraid.
To address the points, until admin approval is explicitly granted server rules still apply to all ID, equipment and tag varieties. That being said, Dabs implied suggestion to maintain a somewhat more generic variety of the aspired setup until such a time comes that you can proceed.
That being said, dont hold back your RP just because youre waiting for the greenlight. Even your junker nomad battleship mercenary outcast rheinland cop (half-elf dragonborn dwarven warlock shadowdancer) can still fly around in a camera ship while waiting for approval.
It might depend on the complexity of it. Admins set the really long ones for high priority or something. *shrug*
I think it's that the thread will be public after 30 days.
That's about all I could tell you.

Seems to me the admins don't post if its accepted or not, just lock it. I guess if it gets locked its OK, if it gets locked with a 'denied' sticker it isn't. I'd still like to see an 'approved' sticker, just for clarity's sake, so everyone isn't running around like chickens with their heads lopped off going "OMG ONOZ WAS I ACCEPTED?!"
And indeed, the Tundra was approved a couple days ago.;)

I agree, it'd make things much clearer.
