"To serve the civilian people of Kusari in memory of the olden times and protect them from the evil of Sirius together with the ones giving their lifes for ours. We are the Hakkera Clan, we will never fall."
The Hakkera clan remains to be one of Kusari's oldest and most traditional clans. Its first documented appearance was in the year 212 A.S. when the clan head of that time, Isao Hakkera, was given the command over the Shogun's Royal Guard. Despite most clan documents being locked away and keeping hidden from anyone but the current clan head, it is known that the Hakkera's played an important role around the time of the Sakura Coup of 321 A.S. ,a part of the family served within the Royal Guards at the day of the coup. Like literally every involved family, the Hakkera clan suffered some loses at this time too. But unlike many, they never needed to escape into exile. The family by then already owned a considerable amount of Honshū's industry and was a respected clan known for general fairness and the will to help poor people.
During the centuries after the Sakura Coup and the new Samura bloodline Emperor, the Hakkera clan remained planetside, slowly having built up a secure connection to the old warriors in exile, known as the Blood Dragons. Having seen the drastic changes after the disappearance of the Shogun Hideyoshi themselves, they knew it was better for the people of Kusari to have the Hideyoshi bloodline return back into power. It was the year 432 A.S. when the clan first re-established contact with the Blood Dragons. The old records of the faithful day were proof enough and after just a few months, the family Hakkera was one of the Blood Dragon's first business partner in the lawful areas of Kusari.
Over the time the clan's influence kept growing and their reputation on Honshū never suffered any real damage, nor did the ways of acting changed a lot. This was until the year 800-801 A.S. when Hisao Hakkera, at this time Prefect of Honshū, got to know about the threat of humanity from the Order. He joined their ranks and after the end of the Nomad war, he was honored as one of the Heroes of the Nomad War for his assistance at Tekagi's Arch, resulting in Edison Trent obtaining the Proteus Tome and in the end being able to protect Sirius' population from a threat they yet did not know any ways to counter about.
Now, over 20 years after the official end of the Nomad War, Hisao Hakkera is training his daughter, Kazue Hakkera, in her role as the future clan head.
Unfortunately, due to a series of events, Hisao decided it is the best for the clan to cut a large part of their current connections to the Dragons but also made clear that once the time has come, there will be no hesitation to re-establish the former connection between both, the clan and the Shogunate's people.
At this moment, the Hakkera Clan keeps running their legal business on Planet Honshū while they already aim to contact their closest ally for the past 23 years,
the Order.
