Kaze's eyebrow rose. Much was said in those two sentences. Much indeed. McIntire and Steiner had plans for her, plans that she did not know. McIntire, while calm, collected and ingenious, was not as cerebral, unlike the born strategist Steiner appeared to be. He was expecting the outburst somewhat, it seemed. He was probably counting on it. The play was set on their minds, and it riled her up. Once again, her bionic hand flexed, behind her back. A new path emerged, she was not in the shadows anymore. As all paths she took and was given, it would be a dangerous one. Decisions would have to be made and new and old connections forged anew so that her decisions would have the very best information to be based unto. She breathed in and replied with a salute.

"Understood.. Admiral."

She finished the salute and asked.

"I will depart post-haste. If that is all..."

The question lingered in the air waiting for his reply.

He was silent for a time, his cold eyes gazing out into the abyss with little expression. His breathing was quiet and his figure was still, before he spoke at last. and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.. He spoke the sentence before looking at Kaze via the reflection in the window. Keep Victor close to you. before he resumed looking out the window, making it clear that the conversation was done.

The death of an Empire. And who was she in all of this? Hell? Death? The Pale Horse? Or the Scythe that it carried? She didn't knew. Maybe she was just one of the many victims it came to claim. Maybe she was the rider, that brought hell in its wake. Her mind finally reached a conclusion. She was to be neither beast or victim. She was to be one of the monsters.

And the Empire to die would be Gallia.

That was what her mind drew and grasped. She also knew very well that in Steiner's head it was the very opposite. That the Empire to die would be Bretonia. Be it not, it was a sign that he spoke those words. It only steeled her resolve. Everything and anything that she could do, she would. And woe to those that would stand in her path.

With a lot said with very few words, she nodded in silence and left the room, ready to return to the Ark Royal and ready to start a new path. Woe indeed. Woe to those that chose to stand in path of the Pale Horse. Woe to those that were caught in it's wake. Woe to those that were within it's reach.

For the Scythe was released at last.
