The Guild is deeply saddened by the recent turn of events in Sigma-21.
The catastrophic loss of life witnessed in recent days is a tragedy for all with a sense of value for human life.
We implore you to cease all military action in the Sigma systems and engage in diplomacy with the Gas Miners Guild. Our organisation means the people of Rheinland no harm and most values House Rheinland as a friend, rather than an enemy.
Let us speak, and return to the peaceful relationship we previously enjoyed.
PRIORITY:High ENCRYPTION:High IDENTIFICATION:Minister for Foreign Affairs Christina Lauritz SOURCE:Hauptsitz des Auswärtigen Amts, Planet New Berlin
Dear Guildmaster Namura,
my name is Christina Lauritz and I hold the position of Minister for Foreign Affairs in the government of The Bundesrepublik Rheinland. I was entrusted to reply to your message.
The Bundesrepublik did not want to start any military actions in the Sigma systems but it was forced to execute them by events you should be familiar with well enough. It was the blood of Rheinlanders which was spilled first. But if the Gas Miners Guild really wishes to end hostilities and engage in diplomacy, you should begin with bringing some initial proposal to the table first. You cannot expect that Rheinland forces, which were deployed in the name of justice and security in the whole region, will be withdrawn in good faith just for a promise of negotiations after all that happened.
Time has passed and both the Federal Republic of Rheinland and the Gas Miners Guild have suffered at the hands of needless conflict.
It is high time this came to an end.
The Guild invites House Rheinland to the table stop the ongoing conflict in Rheinland, Sigma and Kusari space, and seeks a peaceful resolution to any issues we may face.
We are prepared to negotiate, and are anxious for your response.
PRIORITY:High ENCRYPTION:High IDENTIFICATION:Special House Envoy, Senator Albrich von Amensen SOURCE:Hauptsitz des Auswärtigen Amts, Planet New Berlin
Dear Guildmaster Namura,
You will have to forgive my esteemed colleague, Ms. Lauritz, for being unable to respond to your message in person; she is enjoying her well earned retirement concluding a long and successful career in the civil service. It is my honour to be able to respond in her sted and on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the appointed Special Envoy of the Bundestag.
After a long debate in the House, I have been instructed to inform you that Rheinland is open to negotiations to bring this war to a peaceful resolution. There are, however, a number of administartive issues that must be resolved before any attempt to bring about peace and amnity can be successful; to that end the House has appointed Konteradmiral Reinhardt von Ehrenberg to contact the Kusari government as well as your esteemed selves.
I hope that, together, we can at last attain peace.
Sincerely,
Albricht von Amensen
Senator Albrich Ulrich, Freiherr von Amensen,
Special Envoy of the Bundestag,
Hauptsitz des Auswärtigen Amts, Neu Berlin.
