First and foremost, thanks for @Lythrilux and his Post about the process of Azurite mining, as that shot the following idea into my head.
I was wondering, if it would be possible to spawn objects into space (if possible, automatically, not by staff, to Keep it less forcedly event-like) which can be destroyed, similar to the Core of the Nomad Generator in the structure where only snubs really fit into (forgot where it was) or like Satellites.
Destroying These, would basically initiate either a Mission, spawning a preset amount of baddies in the distance, coming towards you, which - to make it more threatening - would try and Corner you.
These NPCs should be difficult and hard-hitting, but it shouldn't be impossible of a spamfest either, obviously. But something like this - a Raid activated by the destruction of an Installation, acting as a Trigger - could potentially be a neat Little Thing.
Locations shouldn't be announced, although it should be generally known where they could spawn. (mostly the dangerous spots. Alaska, Omicron Lost, Omicron Major, etc.)
It would be awesome if that could be done by the engine itself, spawning These installations randomly, so People could actively search for them, notify their fellow bretheren if they find one, and then prepare for the Raid, hoping for no competition.
My question for the Staff: Is that possible, and if yes, to what extent?
And if it's not possible, could this be a rather regular admin-made Event?
Or maybe, it could be player-started, even. Like a POB, that can't be really used, but upon destruction plops preset enemy squadrons into space, to create activity or hostilities, or I dunno.
This isn't possible as a passive thing, and imo we have quite enough staff initiated events already. I'm more interested in pvp events and/or events that drive the story forward, than the current "kill the big bad NPCs" shindig we've already got going fairly frequently.

There are a number of ways this could be implemented. And I think we could make this a little better than *random* PoB spawns (but that would also be on the cards)
Depends what people are after really. We could always create something similar to the Freeworlds conflict zone system?
