"Excuse me for not being too versed on it. Honestly, until now I thought we'd never have to use it again. If you insist on it, we'll field the fighters in there alone with the BARCAP outside the hole. I personally dislike this - vehemently so, since we have no damn idea about their patrol routes in Tohoku. Speaking of, Cass, get on the horn to Aiko. Ask her if she can get her hands on the patrol routes for GMG and KNF flights in Okinawa for the next four hours." Nodoka responds, looking to Elena with concern, her arms crossed beneath her chest, before turning to Cassiopeia, laxing her stance.
Elena sighs at the exchange she's having with her commander. "It's just, I don't put much faith in the Gorgon array. But ultimately it's your call, it won't have the same faults that it does on the Garuda. But the ship itself is slower in maneuvering, at least the fighters can use the fragments to evade fire as they do their job. I'm just weighing the options I see. She says with a shrug.
Cass nods as she contacts Aiko "Right away." After a minute or two she smiles, only for it to fade quicker then it came. For about two minutes it seems like she's trying to slink into a non existent corner Before taking a deep breath and looking to Nodoka. "She uh... She says 'sorry but, I don't know.' In her own... Angry way..."
"I swear on my life, she can be arrogant as all hell. Wish she could actually be useful. Hell, if I wanted to hear someone tell me to screw off, I could have talked to Keiji Namura." Nodoka says, frustrated at Aiko's response. She turns to Elena.
"What if we mounted Perseus in the Skid's Cargo Bay? Since I'd rather we use the Skidbladnir, What would be the most reliable? I'm assuming Perseus since Gorgon has had a past of, well.. causing vegetation. And not of the food kind."
Cass shakes her head. "No no no... She was more mad about the fact that, well she's been out of the guild for well over a month now. They've likely changed patrol paths three times at least. She says looking at the two. "So it's more likely that she was angry about being used for information that she has no possible way of knowing."
Elena nods to Nodoka. "It's easy honestly. The power drain on the standard emitters, even the four plus it'll take shouldn't even be noticeable. Installation shouldn't take long either."
"I thought she was still working with the guild and StarCat." Nodoka sighs, irritated by the situation at hand.
"Either I need memory Exercises badly, or someone in Higan's going to get reassigned to front-line duty, because someone somewhere, me included, is not doing their job."
"As for Skidbladnir and Perseus, go ahead and notify the 22nd Maintenance Squadron to begin work on installing it on her." Nodoka says to the group, turning to Elena to greenlight Perseus after her brief rant.
One of the men from the CIC approaches her with a memory stick. "Ma'am, the briefing data has been loaded for you to show to the personnel. It also contains the data for them to load to their ships via Neural Lace." He says to her, his gray hair and brown eyes gazing at the woman sitting down at one of the inactive stations with the rest of the group.
She moves to get up, collecting the stick from the man, saluting him afterwards, only for him to respond in kind.
"At ease. Everyone, let's head to the briefing room so we can get this show on the road." she says to the man, turning to the group to address them for their departure.
