Stefanie,
it's been months since we've talked the last time, surprisingly I found myself anything but welcome near Rheinland the last time I checked. Not only that, a certain transmission by the oh-so-eloquent Emmanuel tried to vilify me. You made me look like the turncoat of the century without even knowing what was going on, is that how you treat your former leader? I'd have my doubts. You should know I am happy to see you, but I am also disgusted by what happened, how can I know that I should trust you? Trust anyone, really?

But you have a reason to contact me, you want something. Tell me what.

Subject: Mistakes were made
Helena,
I know I made mistakes when I took over the Rose after you left. I know I made mistakes before and after that. I'm sorry that I disappointed you. You tried to teach me everything you knew, and I failed you. Maybe I deserved what Weiss and Einfalt did after the cyber-attack on Bruchsal. Remember the times when I was quite shy and silent? Those times are over.
I was lost in space after an attack on me and the Midgard for quite a while. Remember the women who appeared on Bruchsal just to disappear again after some months? Vanessa Vogt? She found me in the Omicrons when I was on my way back to Bruchsal after we installed the new engines on the Midgard. I was heavily injured, almost dead when she found me.
When I was back on my feet, I contacted Einfalt and the Rose. I first thought I would deserve what they did to me. I thought they would do it better than me. I contacted her because I asked for one last favor. I asked for a new ship because I lost mine. The answer shocked me. She told me that my leadership was a dark time for the Rose and asked me about the Imhotep. It seems the Rose lost one of Golanski's toys just to blame it on me. She also asked me about myself and where I was. I told her the same story I just told you and guess what. I still wait for an answer.
I will tell you something, Helena. You were right. Right with everything. I was just a whining child when you found me, but now I'm much stronger. I've already contacted Graf Victor von Drachenfels, Karl Richthofer, and Tanya. Together, we can claim back what is ours and make the Bundschuh great again. The Rose is ours they can't take it away from us.
You asked me if you could trust me. That is your choice. You know me since I was a child. You took care of me when everyone else left me. I ask you now to follow me and help me to regain what is ours.
Resistance has never had a smile on its face. For Rheinland! For the Volksrevolution!

No,
the Rose is lost, and history is going to repeat itself. I won't pick up shattered pieces to glue something together in which I can't believe anymore. It wouldn't last, you know that. The system has to be rewritten, again. If anything, the history of the Weiße Rose has to repeat under different circumstances. You must understand the Bundschuh. No other bunch of people are that energetic about their leadership, about their factions. You can't just "fix" a group. If it's broken, it is broken and you better hope that you get a new idea very fast, because they want to see themselves represented accordingly and if the leading cell fails to keep their word, they want them gone.
And you know what, that is good. What in the world do we want stagnant politics for? If it fails, make a new one, bring new ideas and fire up people again with different energy. But I am not going to try to save it, I probably wouldn't gather enough support anyway. The answer isn't within hoping for the mercy of the Bundschuh, it's about stuffing their mouths and simply leading them, not caring of what they think, force them to change their opinion by delivering successes and not by trying to fix things.
