Good evening, Bretonian Military Command,
It seems to be all over the neural net as well as among the general chatter of the men. Information regarding a Bretonian invasion in Zoner occupied system of Omega-49. Now I must ask. Have you people completely lost your minds? While Liberty warships finally arrive after an insufferably long time, you now see fit to launch an illegal forced annexation of a system that not only doesn't belong to you, but now divert experienced combat personnel and precious war material to an unfounded cause far away from the real threat facing your people.
I have not led men and women of the Liberty Navy to form a bulwark defensive line around your capital planet, lead them in battle against a tyranny the likes of which not seen in ages, only for Bretonia to turn around and become the very thing we're fighting to defend you from. You're foolishly wasting military assets and launching a wrongful assault into civilian space, enforcing your own brand of tyranny upon them.
If Bretonia wishes to begin looking into becoming a tyrannical entity, why should I not begin pulling divisions from the front line and give more attention to the battle in Liberty? Convince me.

Esteemed Miss Prower,
Firstly, I would like to remind you that politeness is to be valued, even when you do express your dissatisfaction.
More importantly though, it seems you have incomplete information on the matter. There is no such thing as a declaration of war to the civilians of Gran Canaria. Our declaration of war is exclusively aimed at those elements on the planet that attacked Bretonian citizens and officers after the Stirlings move to the fringes of the Omega 49 system, namely the Anti Bretonian Front, wich has by the way been caught working with Gallia or the least beeing allowed to access their warships. I believe that Liberty has a similar policy regarding groups attacking its citizens. Even this situation could have been solved mutually if the negotiations with Zoner representatives did not show that they support these elements by beeing unwilling to negotiate a compromise. This chain of events forced our hands to move in troops, but surely not to attack any civilian installations or individuals. Comparing our actions to those of Gallia is, excuse my language, an insult. There will be no genocide or glassing of plains, no total war against the population or attack on infrastructure of the Zoners.
In fact, we do not intend to do anything more than secure the Planet Gran Canaria to stop the ABF and protect the Bretonian colony on the planet, wich exists since years and is now under the direct threat of attacks from Zoner elements.
I trust that the 5th fleet understands that we have no patience with terrorists and even less with those working with Gallia.

Admiral McIntire,
Indeed we did have incomplete information. Strategists and now a statement by one Admiral Kaze Dagon now shows what looks more to a sensible man as an invasion force. To quote your own officer, "You will Kneel before Queen Carina, or be expelled from the system." This is not the actions of a rearguard protecting Bretonian interests, this is an invasion force claiming civil territory as their own. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is also an action Gallia took when seizing the Tau regions. Your officer has effectively declared marshal law in the system of Omega-49 and threatens those who would fight for their home against a suddenly arriving force with death.
These actions are not one of a military securing a settlement on a planet through peaceful means, Admiral. These are the actions of an invasion force. By statement from the BAF Admiralty Board, you have, and I quote, "closed all diplomatic communications and will now annex Omega-49." This is not protection of your settlement, this is the invasion of a system that does not belong to you. Invading because the locals refused to surrender their home to you, so you now send in Battleship Stirling and this officer to do it by force.
Words are one thing, Admiral McIntire, actions that betray those words are another.

Esteemed Miss Prower,
I am under the impression you are not seeing the full picture still. May I remind you of Liberties actions in taking Planet Erie and the entire system of Pennsylvania just a few years ago? A very similar situation overall, just that we intend to take way less than the entire system as we do not have any intentions to attack or seize Zoner installations.
Not even mentioning that you are verbally siding with a group that works with both our houses main enemy.
As I explained the diplomatic communications were closed after the failure of negotiations, wich is quite a usual procedure after getting attacked. Apart from that the attacks started before the Stirling even moved remotely close to any Zoner installations.
I have to question your integrity at this point, Vice Admiral, as you seem to ignore facts for the sake of blaming the Armed Forces.
The only spot of truth in your statement is that Admiral Dagons words were not wisely chosen, I suppose fighting in a nearly hopeless position for years wears off the diplomatic talking skills a little. The statement still makes very clear that no civilian has anything to be afraid of. Only those attacking our forces actively will be met with appropriate harshness. Those who do not fall for the propaganda of the ABF will be able to live their lifes as they always did.

Admiral McIntire,
You may get as personal as you desire, personally I couldn't much care as I've heard many things before, I have thick skin, I can take unkind words. Now as for the premise of your defending this operation, you specifically refer to the loose group of raiders and combatants known as the Anti-Bretonian Front. From previous combat assessments and experience, this farce movement against Bretonia has little more strength than a corporate convoy protection force. Such minor numbers and limited combat capability renders little threat from their forces. More for the matter, Zoner protection forces are rather equipped to enforce their neutrality within their own space.
As for Liberty's supposed acquisition of what's now Pennsylvania, I wasn't in the Navy at the time, however I was strictly opposing such a way of operating, but you can imagine how much pull an ordinary citizen has in regards to military operations. However I will point out how Liberty was not facing the brink of defeat without the aid of allies in such a scale of war that's currently occurring. I will also point out how Pennsylvania system is under law an independent system under Liberty protectorate, and remains at large Zoner controlled and run. Zoners of the time did indeed prepare armed resistance, however conflict was avoided.
This is not the message Bretonia sends to the rest of the sector with it's rapid, aggressive moves into Omega-49. As you have plainly seen, this powergrab in Omega-49 has garnered quite a bit of attention. This is also not likened to the protectorate status Liberty has given the Zoners of Pennsylvania.
Now this to follow: Liberty Navy forces will provide no support, logistical or otherwise, to Bretonian Armed Forces operating within Omega-49, furthermore, the Navy implores the Bretonian Admiralty to consider a new public statement regarding the treatment of Zoners within Omega-49 and planet Gran Canaria, as analysis shows the statement issued by Admiral Dagon to be the primary motivation for armed resistance against Bretonian Military assets within the region.
Should the battle spill into Poole, Battleship Concord and her taskforce will stand ready to maintain the peace in the system and push out any aggressive actions, but will not assist in any operation other than medical aid to wounded personnel.
Onto a personal note, Miles is a male name, Admiral. Perhaps you have issue with my long-since resigned sister, keep those with her. Keep your personal issues to yourself, this is a professional matter than has raised quite the concern amongst the men and women on the line, and it's my job to put rest to their concerns.
